What's In Jim's Grow Room?

MJ, can I ask what the trichomes looked like on your BD? Mine is at 65 days and I am sure I have another week, have to look hard to find some ambers.

High JM...I didn't get any close up pictures when I harvested but they were amber on all mature sugar leaves and just a smattering of amber near calyxes. It was more amber than I'm used to. Yet I suspect they could have gone about another week. I really don't want any couch lock Blue Dream. This picture was taken March 8 and I can tell you there was more amber yesterday. GL

Hey there MJ - your Timber lamp won't get anywhere near as warm as your previous lamp you were using. Why I switched to COB ... I know it gets warm down your way in the summer but prolly not much warmer than here ... I ran a full set last summer with no problems with heat. 2 degrees above ambient consistently and no AC.

Sad and happy all on the same day. Somehow there's some balance here but I haven't found it.

My church has a phone tree and recorded messages are passed to members by phone call. I got a call around 11:30 this morning. "Hi this is pastor xxxx. I regret to inform you that our former pastor XXXXX XXXXXXX has passed away. The family has requested no social media comments."

Pastor XXXXX and I were good buds. He retired and moved to be near grand children in August 2016. He and I were the same age. As far as I know he was in good health. I'm sad and curious.

The girls are all good. Organic good. Pretty and very fragrant. Most of them are sweet. Mellon sweet. Fx 1 has an ugly skunk mixed in. I know they'll change a bit.

In the mail....I decided to order a few seeds. I got HSO's Chemdawg, Reserva Privada's Kosher Kush and some Green Crack freebies. Even with the optimism that there will be a winner in my current grow I decided I should have some Chemdawg beans on hand. Chem is truly favorite and I saw some a "D" cut cross this morning that might be mine next week. We'll see.

I moved the 2 Pakistan Valley girls into a dark closet yesterday to make room for the remaining 3 Fx girls/boys/whatever. I've always wanted to let something go through a 4 day dark period. Now it's done. Well I might harvest Monday so that'll be only 3 dark days but you get the picture. The Blue Dream buds in the barn should be ready for jarring tomorrow or Monday. I have the vaporizer all charged up for some fresh buds.

Ok...so I choose to be happy even with the loss of a friend. But....Photo Dump without much comment.

Sorry about your Pastor friend.

Sorry for your loss, man. Old buddies are old buddies!

Sorry to hear about your friend. Glad to see he also did not suffer. Time is short, live life to fullest.

Every day is a good day no matter what life throws at you.

Plants look spectacular..

Thanks for all the condolences.

The Pakistan Valley girls were harvested yesterday @ 60 days in flower. They spent 3 days in total darkness and they looked like they had never been deprived of light. I didn't notice any changes in the trichomes and had that same smattering of amber.

I jarred up the Blue Dream buds yesterday also and they filled 2 quart jars. Dry weight total for those 2 was 53 grams.

It's totally organic though and I feel real good about it all getting better with a bit more experience. Heck....I bet I could get a few more grams just by filling the pot properly with soil mix.

Ultra Dawg is 47 days and I can tell she's starting to fade. 10 to 15 more days there I think.

All the others have about 38 days and I will double the Budswel I've been giving them to see if they bulk up a bit.

The Fx girls went into the room of bloom last week and haven't shown me sex yet. Of course my eyes are old but I'm sure I'll see something soon. Fx 4 is so manly looking. It would really give me the heeby jeebies if she was a girl. Here's what they looked like this morning. Left to right is Fx 3, Fx 5 and Fx 4.

Nice! I think these look very healthy!

If that stunning pictorial on Saturday stands in part as a memorial for your friend you did very well Jim.

Facing our fragile human condition can be a sobering thing. We're eternal beings. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Thanks for all the comments ... I feel the love for sure.

Everything got their water yesterday and these girls are looking good and headed for the finish line. Buds in the jar and in the barn is a good spot to be in. I am truly blessed. I bought a total stranger lunch today. That is so much fun for me.

Saw an old friend and his wife at lunch too. Poor fellow looked bad and it turned out he had a 3 month stay in the hospital following knee surgery. It seems the knee got infected and the hospital gave him so many antibiotics they damaged his kidneys. He's now having to have dialysis. There's some chance this condition may improve. Gives me someone else to pray for.

I have a dental appointment in a bit so I'll just post the pictures and run.

Veg Tent girls

I took all the rest of the photos without a flash. Everything smells so good which is a bit unusual. There's nothing in here that's skunky right now. Most are mild sweet aroma. UD is like over-ripe fruit of some sort. It's all good.
