What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Nice Jim. :high-five:

I recall that Rico once had a gif running in his profile picture that was so cool, but I don’t think that ever made it to the open field.

Bloom Tent - Blue Dream and Pakistan Valley clones - Day 48

I looked at one of the Blue Dreams this morning and thought I saw lots of amber. It later looked like only a small amount of amber. I'm guessing I might have picked up lots of burple in my scope. Here's a small sample of what I saw and I'm probably going to harvest these next week. One of the Pakistan Valley girls was pollinated and it's 30 day target date is exactly one week away. Some buds or portions thereof might be over ripe but I've never harvested with lots of amber. I'm thinking this will all work out.

Here's the rest of the photos.

Oooo..... Makes me reach for the bowl Jim. :laughtwo: They are pretty. :hugs:

You let waaay more amber show up on your girls than I do my friend. Lol! I see an amber trichome, I run right out and buy H2O2 for the wash and take her the next day. Do you have any idea how hard it is to let this Malawi go a couple more days while I wait for the husks?

Oh, wait! I need them to hang at least a day, so I could take her tomorrow.

I'll be patient and wait on the husks. I still have the thread to get up before harvest. I get all excited and keep trying to jump the gun. Lol! You thinkin' of trying a cob or two Jim? Have I tempted you, with this harvest coming up and all? :battingeyelashes:

It's way more amber than I'm accustomed to but 48 days! That doesn't compute. It must be the enzymes created by the malted barley teas or better conditions this grow...added light although these haven't been directly under or near the new Timber lamp.

I have to admit....I like trying all things new but I'd probably want to bury mine in sand for a summer.

Are those red trichomes? At day 48???

They might be a little red looking amber trichomes. I'm still trying to figure the timing here.

Beautiful buds Jim. That Pakistan Valley is gorgeous.

Cheers.

Thanks Ditch. I hear you are killing and hanging Rita today. Oh the sweet smell she must be causing.

hey jim your girls are ripening up very nice love the frost its going to be a happy harvest at your house pretty soon good job man!

Thanks Stick. I'm kinda looking forward to harvesting them. What I should do is find those jars of PV that was harvested last year and see how it smokes now. It was hard hitting from jump street but smoked a little harsh.

Love this picture and science lesson with it. At harvest sometimes I see it hollowed out with a plant of sativa linage versus indica. I think that is how I remember.

I have to document a pollination like you did. The Photo journal is my thing. I like V.much.

I love a backhanded compliment. Geez you grow some absolute crap but it gets better with each grow :rofl:
Joking... plants are looking great.photos look clear.

Looking good ... looks like harvest time soon.

With the Malted Barley you can expect sooner harvest times with the same or more yields ... you should get some added terpines as well.

MJ......better to look only at trichomes at center of bud to make harvest decision. Your picture shows ambers on leaves, which will always amber up earlier & not good indicator to evaluate ripeness. :Namaste:

Yeah....I've looked at one of the BDs each morning and have even had them out of the tent expecting to put them in the harvest queue. I've put them back in the tent every time and give them more water.

In the past I've harvested with only a little amber if I saw it anywhere. I'll keep them going for a while but I really expect them to come down sometime next week. I'm not in any hurry except I could use the space for the other 3 of the Fx hybrids. Cheers

Those blue dreams look delicious.

Remember, the leaves will show amber earlier than the buds. Always inspect the buds for amber to decide when to harvest. :thumb:

On to the veg tent today. I had one drooping last night so it got a little emergency drink to make it through the night. I had anticipated giving these some microbes and some kelp this morning with some sorely needed grooming. Everyone got a good bottom trim and many were topped. Last year I neglected this overflow tent. I hope to be a bit more attentive to their needs this year.

My view each morning....well some mornings I just watch the blooming girls and give these a break.

Labyrinth Clones The last one is still growing out as these have shown to really take their time. It's worth it. The flowering girl is gorgeous....just gorgeous.

The remaining Fx seed plants. Only one has expressed as female. Fx 4 is growing very manly.

UD 1.1

UD 2.1 The parent was confirmed male and composted.

Sunny and cool outside here. A good day for almost anything but I think I'll wash some laundry and clean the house a bit. Have a great day folks. Thanks so much for visiting and providing feedback. It's always helpful.

I also harvest at the same point as you Jim, just as they turn amber anywhere on the plant. I like the clear head high that comes from a plant that’s mostly cloudy with a spot of amber. We must enjoy the same kind of buzz. :slide:

I’ve been smoking Dinachem all day - haven’t even had any brownie yet. Great stuff. I see why you choose Chemdawg so often. :battingeyelashes:

There’s just something about the PV that draws you to them, isn’t there? Your clones are doing better than mine these days. Lol! Good thing none of mine that died were critical to the grow. One pays a price for neglect, eh? You learned that lesson yourself with the overflow tent.

Young ones looking mighty fine... I always neglect my VEG plants. Toughen them up for the long haul ahead!! But always give them some goodness .. kelp meal FTW! They will love it.

I'm seeing some claw on the UD's.... wonder if Conrad has any ideas about that?

I've got a Chemdawg in flower doing the same exact thing... leaves nice and waxy green with a bit of tip curling down...I always worry about it but never could figure out what causes it.
