What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Jim, thank you for the shot of the head space. I learned so much about hanging equipment in that one shot. You never know the influence you'll have.

   :kisstwo:

Growing and learning is how I spend my time.

Here's what I learned. There must be a better way to hang a light. I need to shorten those wire cables if I need to raise this light again. Today I just took the yoyos out.

Blue Dreams and a Pakistan Valley

I traded places inside the tent with a BD S1 and PV so I could better support the LED while I took the yoyos and replaced them with buckles or whatever you call those things. Carabiners I guess. So here's the new view.

The BD S1 in the 1 gallon pot. I'm using Espoma organic Bloom Tone 3-4-5 on her this watering. It also has beneficial microbes in there. Bet ya didn't know that.

Hmm. They all look great. The blue dreams have a bit of stretch but great node spacing. Maybe a bit more than double the veg height? I might have to consider that when deciding on when to flip mine. I was planning on them doubling. Only have 5.5' to work with after the light. Looking forward to seeing you bring these in to the home stretch...and seeing what the PV does lol

Bloom Tent Flipped + 17 Days

All the soil girls got fed basically at 1/3 strength nutrients. Hempies were all flushed with about twice as much water as necessary to provide run off. Before the feeding I did a basic cleanup of all the larf on the interior of the big girls. While I had Blue Dream S1 out I went ahead and dressed her up for a Christmas photo. She doesn't appear to have as many bud sites as I expected so she may get fed a little differently going forward. I have to keep telling myself it's only week 3 of flower so there's plenty of time left for development. We shall see.

That's all I have for today. I sure hope you have a great one!

Most of you know I have this weird looking plant that was a freebie seed from Delicious Seeds. Anyway, she's still being grown out in the overflow tent but I took 2 cuts 11 days ago. One went into a rapid rooter and one into a small rock wool cube. Both placed in plastic pint bowls and then into opaque vegetable bags, inflated with CO2 from my very own lungs.

The rapid rooter plugs are more than 2 years old and are hard to re-hydrate and I almost lost that cut at 3 days.

I think it's rooted but I wanted to show you the rock wool cube after 11 days.

She may not have such pretty leaves but those roots were a gorgeous sight for me tonight when I checked on her.

Here's the mom

Needless to say she went straight into a 1 gallon pot of soil and was watered in for her first night. I sure wish I had some room in the bloom tent. She's so unique one would think that the herb will be interesting.

I'd be making room for something that vigorous. Amazing roots! :thedoubletake:

Flip + 20 days. Blue Dreams and a Pakistan Valley in the Bloom tent.

The girls end their third week of 12/12 lighting tomorrow. Pakistan Valley is still being the tent queen. I looped her branches with a little string just for support and to prevent me from breaking branches.

I broke from my normal feeding schedule and decided to give the girls bubbled water this morning with full strength (2 TBS per gal) Budswel. It's a fairly mild organic nutrient of bat and seabird guano with worm castings. It really is mild at 0.01% 0.10% 0.01%.

The variegated cutting that's been taking it's time rooting in the last rapid rooter had one small root protruding this morning so I went ahead and buried it in a 1 gallon pot of my soil. I'm almost out of soil.

I took a bunch of photos of the blooming girls including the hempies and the overflow tent where mom clones and clones of the PV and now the variegated one enjoy their time. One BD looks pretty shaggy in there because I haven't taken the time to groom her. 3 PV clones are in there.

Anyway....enjoy the pics and share some love to someone today. All it takes is a smile.

This is the branch that was broken and not repaired. That little knuckle above the damaged leaf is where the plant repaired itself.

Doing good except I had to do some of your profession today. I have an older mobile home and painted the metal roof six years ago. Much of the paint is layered from many years of cool seal and paint. Popped up in many areas and I was up there last week scraping and such. Had to put some primer in bare areas. Just looking for a fine day so I can finish the job. Hoping my back and bad knee can get through this.

I won't be doing it next time. I'm 67 and retired and have no interest in painting this roof ever again.

 I think I've got another 20 years of it.. although they making us retire at 70 now, so closer to 30 years of it...... that thought hurts
