What's In Jim's Grow Room?

A little Saturday update

Everything got fed or watered today except the newest PV clone. That one doesn't have enough roots to absorb as much moisture.

I been really taking it easy since my minor surgery. Today I was able to shower and change the dressing on the wound. It's not

The girls look pretty good in spite of a few things. Heat got out of control two days ago and was up to 90o F. It appears that my Blue Dream S1 seed girls just didn't like hot. The big girl, the hempy girl and the 1 gal soil girl have bottom leaves turning brown. I'll clean them up one day soon.

The BD parent cut and PV was just all drooping in that heat and returned to normal by yesterday lights on. Now that tent runs only on the Bloom spectrum and now running about 81o to 82o F.

While reviewing the photos I noted a light leak problem. The two tents are side by side and bottom vents match. I had to close the overflow tent vent on the adjoining side and open her up elsewhere. This is only flip plus 3 days so I hope I caught this in time. I don't need to be chasing nanners.

Blue Dream lookin awesome Jim! I am still enjoying the one I grew, I think you'll like it a lot!

Have a great Sunday!

Thanks Beavis. Early this morning everything was standing tall and tips up. I hope it will be a good crop in about 8 weeks.

Love your plants and car!

It's so good to see you out girl...I hope all is well for you.

Last night I got that sinking feeling that I'd forgotten to water the poor hempies. Lights were off so I took care of that early this morning when I enjoyed my coffee and my first bowl of Chemdawg. I sure love my Chemdawg.

All the big girls, actually all soil girls got watered this morning. Pakistan Valley and the big Blue Dream from seed were removed from the tent and got a light grooming underneath. Next up they'll get a little feed if I can figure out a proper mixture. I also tossed into the tent a banana and a peel hoping to get some ethylene in there to support flower formation. Ethylene is a ripening hormone which I'm using primarily because the heat won't currently allow me to run the LED at full spectrum.

Have a great day folks. Here in North Carolina we're receiving a bit of rain remaining from Hurricane Irma. Everyone needs to send prayers or comforting thoughts for all hurricane victims.

Living the christmas tree jim. I hope your gonna decorate it and take some pics. I need a good one for the cards this year, i normally grab them off Cannafan, i hope she is ok, not heard anything for months.

:passitleft:

:passitleft:

Christmas is a long time away but I'll consider looking in the shed for some decorations. I already know they are buried in the back somewhere.

Lots of discussion over in Nismo12's yard about sativas and Ace gear in particular. Yesterday afternoon I had absolutely nothing that I wanted to do and decided I would try my Panama one more time. I found a quart in the vault and pulled out enough for the grinder and rolled 1 joint. Out of necessity (I usually had some weed but never a bunch) I have always rolled little pin joints and did so this time. I smoked 1/3 and stayed in a lovely high for the rest of the day. I also slept well.

So this morning I had 2/3 of a joint left and smoked half of that. Man, it's pretty good morning stuff. Music is nice and vibrant and I had one song bird outside this morning to serenade me. I couldn't see it but it sure was some beautiful sounding bird.

3 hours later I had showered, dressed my wound and smoked all the rest but the little roach. Took two cuts from the so-called Jack Herer. I'm using my last rapid rooter and one rock wool cube in Lembatoast bags. Then I went out for a drive into the country. It's a gorgeous day here and I became too curious to drive. My eyes would wander so I had to concentrate a bit to get home. I did make a stop at the nursery for a little rest and to buy some Big Bud.

So the verdict is in. I really should smoke my Ace Panama (green pheno) more often. I've become somewhat of a Chemdawg / Blue Dream snob. Shame on me for being so limited in my thinking.

On to currently growing stuff.

Team Pakistan Valley now left front.

I had to move things around a little in the tent this morning so I could get my foot in there to raise the light. I took the hempies to the sink and watered them well with a good run off. Then a little pot twisting and back in the tent.

I have a soil and hempy comparison of my Blue Dream S1 seeds. They are virtually the same size if measured from the top of soil or perlite. The soil girl might have a shorter node spacing.

So have a great day folks. It's raining again here following an absolutely beautiful day yesterday.

I live the four little small pot girls. Very uniform.
Pretty as a picture you could say. Lol

Cheers.

I broke a branch this morning. There is significant negative pressure at the bottom of my tent and I'm pretty sure the bottom corner of the tent flap did it. I did not repair it hoping that the plant will think it's a heavy handed super crop site. See center of the photo:

That Panama just gets better with age. I love your smoke report. I really need to get some of that going again soon. My stash of it is dwindling...

You're right. It's been curing nicely. My log shows me with a few quarts. They must all be in the back of the vault.

I love smoke reports. Thanks for the write up.

My wake n bake this morning is a bowl of Chem Dawg. Somewhere around the third toke I reach a state of confusion. I had to go back and read what I had written.

All of them are so nice Jim, keep your great work, they will become better and better:goodjob:

Thanks Sara....always good to see you visit my little corner of the world. The Mars Hydro lights have been performing well for 2 years now.

:thanks: all for dropping by.

The camera battery was letting me know it was low but I managed to get some shots off. This tent is going to be completely filled in a few days. 7 1/2 gallon pots are new for me as my older softies were 5 gallon. More soil, more plant. Let's hope more buds. Today is water/feeding day for all the girls. Expect another explosion of growth.

Blue Dreams and a Pakistan Valley

I took a bunch of pictures this morning and I don't quite know what to say about them. So I guess I'll just post some pictures and let you enjoy them without so much commentary.

Oh, here's the so called Jack Herer with the variegated leaves. She's not in the bloom tent but I know you're interested in her.

Blue Dreams and a Pakistan Valley

When I opened the tent flap this morning I saw that the Blue Dream from my own S1 seed in the big pot had grown above the LED. Now is when I wish I had topped her at least once instead of allowing it to grow in tree form. I do have a bit of head space at the top of the tent but I'll just have to hang the yoyos differently or just do away with them entirely. Anyway, I wanted to see the seed's performance in a natural environment - no topping, no training. It just keeps it interesting for me. No doubt it confirms that BD is indeed a Sativa dominant hybrid. Yum yum.

She's in the back left with her top trying to peek over the light.

DSC_051414.JPG

The other two BD S1 seeds are in a 1 gallon of soil and a 1 gallon hempy. Both were topped once.

DSC_051712.JPG

Pakistan Valley front left. She was topped early and the leaders were topped again a couple weeks before the flip to 12/12.

Head Space

DSC_052116.JPG

That's about it from the bloom tent today. Everything is progressing in a normal manner. I'm still dealing with the water requirements of the 7.5 gallon pots. Most of the leaves are still green which is an achievement....LOL

Have a great day folks. Stay medicated.

Having the alternative going in my bloom tent I'd say green leaves are a good thing too. You made me really glad I topped my Blue Dream. Lol!

The Pakistan Valley........ she's still the one that makes my heart go pitter-pat. :dreamy:

Jim, thank you for the shot of the head space. I learned so much about hanging equipment in that one shot. You never know the influence you'll have.

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :kisstwo:
