WestHippie’s 420 OG Hydro 1000 Watt MH/HPS

Cannabis plants don't need anywhere need as much P as they sell in nutrients, according to research done a while back by one of the nute companies. Farside posted that info on the first page of his grow thread.

I have found that the high K in MC doesn't lock out the N unless you start adding K boosters like Terpinator. I had to dial back the Si I was adding in stretch because the K in it was locking out N. And plants need more nitrogen in flower than most folks think as well, as evidenced by the graphs from Farside's posts.

I've grown a number of big frosty plants on this formula with no problems that can't be solved by upping the grams/gallon a bit. And I know a lot of growers doing the same thing, including Farside, MrSauga, Dutch, Professor Flora, and Homer Simpson who has these two trouble-free beauties:

And of course, my flowering three:

All are hungry! If I give A N nutrients it will drop the ph need all nutrients intake .
Haven’t stopped taking in nutrients since I put the A N nutrients in !
Canopy temp 81 was highest, vary all the way across down to 73 degrees
Lux at 19” 57-67k just like the heat varies all the way across!
Pic with pic of blue lighter , looks black under the hps . Held a cover over the light and got the right color of the lighter!

Already forming buds !

Beautiful grows Mr. Hippie, an inspiration to me as usual! I like the battle scars on the plants on the bottom. I saw some wounded leaves on a earlier pic that looked exactly like what's happened on mine, I didn't marry it to call/mag deficiency, that helps for the future. I'm already using 2tsp when the brand I have calls for 1.5/gal, but I guess feeding them half strength might be causing me to really be skimpi g on the Cal/mag...

Thanks PBass , mine was ph lockout of calcium. I use ro water is why I run 100% cal-mag . My techna flora was a wrong ratio 1%calcium and 1% magnesium, it should be 3% calcium and 1% magnesium. Bonticare calmag & Advanced Nutrients sensi cal-mag are 3% calcium &1% magnesium .

Ph 5.5 as usual the ph dropped to 5.5 ph Perfect technology. Damn this stuff makes me lazy @20% nutrients adjusted the ph :)from 5.9.
Still using the same water in 1&3 ? From day one #2 changed the bucket out , ph kept diving I thought (bad probe won’t calibrate coated with URB,guess I cleaned it the wrong way)

Beautiful spears ya got there WH!
Thanks InTheShed, I need to stay with them in the morning and get some at lights out pics . All leaves are still pointing to the light in every pic sense we raised the light . Just think what it would be doing if I didn’t fry the leaves with heat and ph too high .

They'd just be prettier :).
Most definitely and probably larger ! Pulled my exhaust filter and can smell it when I go to the backyard. Got the MC and my new exhaust filter delivered as we speak . And my blue labs new probe for ph .

That's gonna be a good one to watch. I haven't seen MC run in hydro so I'm curious.
We’ll get it going , I have to pull the clones up every two days or the roots are hooking up with each other . Do I start at 50% MC ?

Tead ran MC in coco, but then he got a rosin press and all of a sudden he was abducted by UFOs cuz he only posts now about once every 3-4 weeks, lol. At any rate, you could probably look at the last few pages of his journal to get a feel how MC does.

Not sure how it would translate to hydro but when I first feed my clones, I start at 2.5g/gallon. As they get more of a root system I move them directly to 4g/gallon and move up from there as they grow. Clones are mature plants out of the gate once they have a root system. Not like seedlings.

Keep in mind that according to somewhere on the MC website, our PPM meters won't necessarily match their website PPM numbers at a given dilution.

Gonna do the 4 grams per gallon, went to 18/6 two weeks today . The roots are wants to ball up , I have to roll them till the ball is to extended length . If I don’t I won’t be able to get them through the 4” hole when it’s time to move to the tent !
Will go back to the web site ! Pic that’s the vs led bloom , veg and bloom & veg
