WestHippie’s 420 OG Hydro 1000 Watt MH/HPS

That's an insane comparison WH!! :thedoubletake: That's unbelievable. Your growing skills are improving that's for sure! :bravo: i can definitely notice the difference in flower production at this stage between the different grows.
Thanks Irie , I keep going back and looking so I decided to post the pics .

Tds 472 ppm was 530 ppm Falling
Your flowering PPM and your vegging DWC numbers are basically the same! When I was using bottled nutes I would be close to 1000 PPM in heavy flower like yours. I know you are mixing 37 bottles and spending your kid's inheritance on nutes, but have you seen what pushing those numbers does to the leaves so you know how far you can take the plants?
What brand nutes do you use? Does the labels give a guaranteed analysis of elements? If yes, I made a tutorial to use Hydro Buddy that would enable you to take the information from those bottles and save the elemental compositions into a database that you could then use to plot out what your ppm is for each element. You could then use that information to make more informed decisions when augmenting the feed to better suit what your eyes see from your plants. Like for instance, you possibly wanting more calcium. If for instance your calcium compared to your K and ammonical N is low, you could squeeze more Ca from the bottles. The good thing about Hydro Buddy is that you have 2 approaches. You can tell the app how much from each bottle will be used like from a feed chart, and the app will tell you how much of each elemental PPM is contained. The other approach is that you can adjust individual elements and the app will tweak the doses from each bottle so you can closer achieve your elemental targets.
@FelipeBlu did a spreadsheet with many of the popular brands' numbers already entered in separate worksheets so you can just paste them into the main sheet. Then you just enter the amounts you want to use and it calcs for you. It's helpful to keep the N and K ratios in sync if you're thinking about adding supplements in flower, or for making sure you don't get too N heavy.

It definitely won't help you build a nute system from separate elements though!

I fixing to use the basic of these nutrients, then add big Bud and bud candy ! That voodoo juice, trantula, and piranha are expensive but I’ll only use them for two weeks. I have to save some where!

I've seen FelipeBlu's spread sheet, and we compare numbers to help each other feel out the ranges better. I presume his spreadsheet uses the same math that Hydro Buddy uses to calculate what's what, but IDK if the spreadsheet is as functional as Hydro Buddy, but with HB, you definitely can list all of the bottles you're wanting to use, then type in how much ppm of each element you want to produce, and HB will calculate how much is needed from each bottle to get as close to your desired numbers as is mathematically possible. I only presumedd the spreadsheet could do that too, but if it can't, all the more reason to try HB, and since it's free it will only cost someone an hour or two of reading.

I spent years dumping thousands into GH, but for some reason last summer, my nutes were growing mold in the bottles which caused me to get into salts.

I'm not going to lie though, AN, due to their proprietary blend in the PH perfect line, do not accurately display their elemental analysis, at least I wasn't able to locate the needed info to track their elemental composition to compare.

Keeping close track of the elements seemed more important when I was blending 5 or 6 different bottles of nutes in flower. Now that I'm only using MegaCrop (and I no longer pH adjust my nutes), I just try to keep in mind the maximum nitrogen guidelines that Farside talks about (which I think was around 150 PPM).

Though Homer Simpson is seeing good results with MC 7g/gallon which blows through that 150 number.

Day 37 of 12/12
Outside temp 79 humidity 76% SSE 13mph

Water temp 69.8 down 2 gallons Falling
TDS 436 ppm was 472 ppm Falling
Ph 6.04 was 6.0 Rising
I see them fattening out , forgot to measure lux yesterday but it was what InTheShed wanted me to get it to 60k .
All the leaves , just like last time are pointing to the light . Even this prehistoric looking one , the leaves are shiny and dark green !
What the hell am I doing water and nutrients change, quick pic . Be back by 10

Day 37 of 12/12 Week 5 of
Water and Nutrients Change
A N nutrients 50%
Connoisseur part a 157 mL
Connoisseur part b 157 mL
Big Bud 76 mL
B-52. 76 mL
Bud Candy 76mL
Nirvana. 76 mL
Sensizym 76mL
Rhino Skin 76 mL
URB 200 mL have enough for one more week
Sensi Cal Mag 80 mL 100% is 160 mL ? First time using this scratching my head on this one ! That’s a lot of cal mag , the ph was 5.54 till I put the cal-mag it went to 5.47 . That’s okay we learned that the ph rises ,especially with Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect. I wouldn’t expect anything other than starting on the low end ! Lights went out , pics !

Big Bud 7-1/2 mL
Bud Candy 7-1/2 mL
Sensizym 10 mL
Z7 2 mL each
Now it will be ph Perfect!
I’ll have to get the numbers today , will be gone all day Friday !

It's a full house in there! You filled your space really well WH! :bravo:
Thanks Irie, just that back right has a bare spot or this one would be wall to wall . That net always does a nice spread out ! The hps reaches the outside edges very well, wished I’d gotten the xxl reflector just did the xl !

If the leaves are praying you should be good at 60K. Shame those top leaves won't recover since they look so crunchy, but lesson learned for the DWC up and comers! The flowers look great and the rest of the leaves are a lovely shade of green.

And when I look at the number of nutes you are mixing I am thrilled I'm having success with MegaCrop (which works in hydro too ;))!

This hps is tough on them . @snowbound has sub zero temps running through his lights ! Temp has to be 75 and below temps for this light .
I thought about mega crop with some big Bud and bud candy ! You can bet I’ll get some . Maybe the big Bud and candy helps control the ph ! This ph Perfect sure has made me lazy!

I don't think you need any supplements for the MC, and mixing up some powder with a dash of pH adjustment is a heck of a lot easier than what you have going on now! If you got a lanky strain you can add a bit of silica in stretch, but that's about it.

You can get free samples off their website if you ever wanted to run one bucket as a test. And no, I am not a paid spokesperson :). Just passing along what I've tried!

They ought to pay you !

This DWC had me losing more hair with the ph problem! I have the rhino skin for sillica !
Would it be okay with the URB, I’ve never seen the way they are taking in the nutrients 100+ ppm at intervals sometimes daily!
I’ve only saw it on amazon! MegaCrop! Going to check the website out ! Salesman and a grow room foreman is what I see ! Experience is golden!

greenleafnutrients.com The 300 gram bag is free except for shipping.

I'd try it first without the URB and see how it does. They still sell supplements from when they sold their old formula, but with the new formula you don't need them (and if you use too much you might add too much K and lock out N).

Even though you don't need them any more, it seems growers were still asking because they're completely unused to having one nute from birth to harvest. So they keep selling them to make the growers happy (and the accountants too :)).

That makes sense same nutrients from start to finish ! Need to save the ph Perfect for dwc and try it in the tent ! The hps is coming out if I can finish this grow . I putting the Kind led and two 600 vipra spectras in as we now see the Kind is half the quantity! The three lights will pull 9 amps just like the hps !

From what I see in other people's grows, MC can be a little fussy. I'm also not a fan of same ferts for veg and bloom. Jack's 321 is the same thing, same nutes start to finish and all users do pretty good with it. I seek to do great and have the ability to make changes in the event that the cookie cutter feed isn't exactly what my crop yearns for.

Having the ability to mod things if the plant needs it is a definite plus, but I can't say I've seen fussy with MC in the grows I follow. And if my plants show a deficiency I bump the grams/gallon and it goes away.

I haven't seen any MC in hydro though which was why I suggested testing it out in a bucket to see.

Even Jacks is a three-part mix!
Going to , would you get the sweet candy and the bud explosion and or there calmag ?
I have a circulation pump , little impeller with a cage on it ! And if it doesn’t keep it mixed I’ll put the mixing pump on a timer ! We’ll test it , I have 8 candy kush seeds to use up !
No bucket 20 gallon reservoir.

The only thing I've heard is that if you run it with RO or distilled water it may need cal-mag. I use tap water and am running only MC start to finish.

Both the Sweet Candy and Bud Explosion would put me way over the limit of K, so I would skip those. And you certainly don't need that much P in flower. The new MC formula does away with the need for those, but like I said, growers like to feel like they're changing things up in flower so they sell them!
