Hi Jandre.
Yep, I give them 24 hours of darkness and then flip em into flower. That's cool you start your count a day later. What ever works for us! So your doing the GLR.......The lights go off for short periods here and screws up my timers, so I don't do it. Hope your feeling good!
wow i was off for less than 24 hrs and it grew 2 pages you journal is a hoppin place omm
It's fine by me....It's the great folks like you that make it good.
Day 21.....Defoliation Day
The last year or so it has become a consensus by most of the growers on 420 to defoliate our plants on the 21st day of flower and then later on the 45th day we do it again. This first defoliation has the purpose of removing fan leaves that are covering bud sites. The more light, the more buds and better buds.
The following pictures are of my girls before and after the defoliation.
Here we go!
The White Russian
The SAGE.
The Lemon Skunk which didn't change very much.
Lucy She didn't change very much either.
The Church
Well there you have it. Another reason we defoliate is the plant uses the energy normally given to maintaining the fan leaves is now given to the bud sites. Any questions fire away!
Note, yes I raised the lights for the Lemon Skunk and Lucy.
Beautiful looking ladies you have going on OMM!!
Hey there OMM! super nice job on the defoliation
Happy Firday the 13th EVERYONE!
I have done it before and my plants have turned out great, but on the other hand I have not done and they turned out great and on the other other hand (I know to many hands - LOL) I have done it and a few strains did not like it.
Either way I think it all comes down to your personal enviro setup and the stains do matter as well. I am not going to that this round with the ones I have in there now. Sure I will take the occasional leaf or 2 from them and a tuck here or there, but no defoliation this time.
I sure am digging the lst action I have doing, which I had not done before.
GREAT job OMM!

Yeah I had bad luck with my second SOG set I defoilated at the wrong day I dont know for sure what day or I might have taken to many that were close to a budsite but they are all stunted I have a WW and papaya that are 18 days younger and twice the size so im thinking of just scraping them they have 2 weeks left and replacing them with 16 I have ready now but I not sure though but im at day 21 on my next set for sure anf im going to trim half and leave half and see what happens does day make the huge a difference in what happens after? Ne how looking nice OMM
It sounds like you may have defoliated that first SOG sometime before the 21 days.
I think I may have also but do you think they will still fill out? They are still pretty small my first set makes these look like "shake" but ill keep trying!
At 21 days of 12/12, the plant is basically done with it's initial "stretch". The defoliation will halt the vertical growth, which is why we wait until day #21, so you may have halted the vertical growth a little early.
Your Plants look fantastic. All those lightbulbs seem to really do the trick. My 1000W is very imbarrassed right now!! LOL!!
I am still confused about the Cohorts. It is funny too! It does not surprise me either. Unfortunately we are a country that loves policing the world.
Great great journal and wonderful quick tutorials you give here! I'll be following from now on. I know, I bit of missed the train But on the other hand it gets even more excited day by day as it seems!
I have a quick jump-back-question, I hope you do not mind answering: I followed up your journal and found some very interesting thoughts about AirPots. Did you use RootPouches before? Can you compare? I'm very interested in AirPots, but bought an RootPouch instead, because I read good reviews and they cost a couple dollars less. Probably because they are made in Oregon (afaik) and do not have to travel so much then the britpots
Very nice plants you have!!! I like them all, though Lucy and the Lemon are my favourite. If those had a kid, that would be sweet. I would call it jucy lucy lemon tree Though they'd need to adopt it, being a lesbian couple ...
But you realy made me want to grow the others too! Especially Church. With my health issues I do not need to care too much about THC content, and 16% is still quite alot. Poor those, who are not so fortune and are more restricted.
Keep up the good, creative work!
Hey there guys can u help out sherley and check her out idk what is wrong with her but she still isn't 100% healthy like nute burn or something
