Welcome To Archie’s Indoor/Outdoor Perpetual Garden

I added solar a couple years ago - leased. Didn't cost me anything up front. They worked directly with the power company. I didn't have to do a thing - it was great. Over the past 2 years, I've saved about $5000 in electric costs.

some canna butter on that popcorn? :yummy:
Absolutely!
So the plan is, grow trees, piss off the wife, and convince her I need a greenhouse. :high-five:
:laughtwo:
as long I promised to keep them smaller this year. LOL
Can’t predict nature! They gonna do what they gonna do!
If I could generate enough to run my indoor grow though that would be pretty awesome haha.
This is on my wish list. I would love to run my tent of a solar system. Once I get it functioning in a way I’m happy with, I think that’s the next logical tech upgrade :thumb:

I love my solar, the past 30 days I’ve averaged around 45 kWh a day. Which is about twice what my grow is using right now. It’s been well worth it.

:passitleft:
Nice man! Hey how you been Doob? Those Durban’s are gonna be ready for taking cuts pretty soon.

I’m great, over worked and over paid. Going to cut some clones today actually. I flipped them yesterday and forgot to cut clones. I’ll have some extras if you want to try some Black Cherry Punch, It’s It Punch, Blueberry, and/or three of my own (untested) strains.

Right on man. Being that I’m not starting my indoor up until probably September or October, I’m gonna have to pass. That is very generous of you G.

I don’t want to get ahead of myself, I’ve got a lot I want to grow already, but if you have a few cuts hanging around in the fall I might have a home for em’.

Nice collection!
I’m gonna have to pass.
Can't you keep them small until fall? Assuming they don't arrive looking like the Berry Bombs I mean ;). Solo cup and a little light. Worked for mine!

I'll get some pics of the Candida, she's gotta be close to a month now. I've kept her in a solo cup. The roots are really filling in the cup now, fishbones® everywhere!

Looks just like a Bonsai.

Wednesday Update
Both Ak’s are flowering lol.

Green Doctor is doing her thing

Durban Cuts are looking more normal by the day.

Im in the process of setting up a little veg/clone box so I can move it into a bedroom in the house. Makes things a little easier with regards to temp control.

Aside from that, the weather has been dull and grey but I made Sheds Gift stay outside. Looking forward to sunnier weather soon I hope. As the 15th gets closer, we’ll get GD-1 into the raised bed. Thanks for looking guys!

Best laid plans...! Green Doc looks great :).
Yeah huh? Well I knew there was a significant chance they could flower so it’s on me this time. Haha.
Green Doc has been fairly well behaved. She is getting close to drinking daily and she is starting to complain a little. Some leaf discoloring at the bottom and a little droopsy action up top.
Ive got Sheds gifts outside in the dirt. Hoping they reveg soon, the Northern Lights seems solid.

Those AK’s look evil, that 3rd shot is great! Why you waiting till May 15?
Thanks Age, that AK that’s outdoors already has more tops than I can count at this point. She’s been outside nearly three weeks.
May 15th has 14hours of daylight which is what my Green Doctor is under at the moment. I’m hoping the transition will be quite smooth. Cheers!

I may have a new plant here in the next day or two. A Brooklyn Mango, she's a 50/50 hybrid so I'm hoping she'll lean Sativa or adapt using her genes! I'm thinkin, once she's up and going I'll keep her indoors by a window and when she's filling her solo cup I'll drop her into a 10 gallon fabric and put her outdoors. I got nicely screened wiky up waiting for new green. Growing outside feels like driving 100 mph, closing my eyes and letting go of the wheel. What a rush!

Greetings :420:!

Welcome to my new journal! This journal will serve as my thread for the foreseeable future and will chronicle both indoor and outdoor grows.

The region I live in in SoCal gets pretty warm in the summers and we have occasionally receive snow in the winters. This provides me with very nice weather to grow in my 4x8 in the garage during fall and into early Spring. Then I shift my focus to outdoors.

I just concluded my first HiBrix grow and that grow can be found in my signature. I’ll pick up where I currently am and then we can all grow along together :high-five:

Indoor Grow setup consists of a Perfect Sun Max Yield LED and all of the gear needed to manipulate the grow environment. I keep all the gear in one side of my 4x8 and grow on the other side. I also have a veg box I built when I first started growing. This box is insulated and runs all year to keep mothers alive, veg plants for both indoor and outdoor, etc.

Outdoors, I am essentially a rookie. I have successfully harvested two Northern Lights Autoflowers before, and I’ve tossed a plant or two outside as an experiment, but I’ve never relied on my results from outdoor plants as my supply. My last indoor grow was my largest yield to date of just shy of 21 oz and that gives me a ton of breathing room for this summer.

Strain - Green Doctor
Breeder - Medical Marijuana Genetics
Info - 2:1 CBD/THC
Lineage - Candida x Super Lemon Haze
Flower - 10 weeks

Currently she is in one gallon of Doc Buds HiBrix soil and she has been topped. I have also super cropped sometimes of the lead colas so the lowers could catch up. She is drinking every couple days at this point and so we are nearly ready to transplant. She will be going into a raised bed outdoors. The raised bed is 2x4 and full of DBHBB soil.

Strain - AK47 (nicknamed “Shed’s Gift)
Breeder - I Love Growing Marijuana
Info - Sativa
Lineage - South American Sativa x South Indian Indica (best info I could find on 420)
Flower - 7-9 weeks

Currently Sheds Gift is already outdoors and has been since mid-April. She is in a 5gallon fabric bag and I’ll be transplanting her to a 30 gallon fabric bag. If I have enough soil left over from the 2x4, she will go into Docs soil. If not, most likely ProMix or Fox Farms Ocean Forest.

Here’s a little bit of the rest of my garden:

The Durban Cuts are from my last grow. These have just started to really take off after revegging. The AK47 is from Shed’s gift and she’s a full blown plant at this point. I am not going to grow her outdoors. She will remain a mother, or Ill gift her to my neighbor so he can have a good start to his outdoor grow. I’ll likely take a cut or two before giving her away.

Green Doctor and Shed’s Gift have both been hardened off and are ready for the summer. Thanks for looking and joining me!
Wow! You really know your stuff! I'm in my first grow, Dutch Treat Medicinal fir my Cancer and it's issues. I'm getting some nice buds, clear trichomes still. I've been told to harvest when the trichomes are about half Amber in color, suggestions, advice... My grow us indoors with LED lights, doing it on the cheap... I use Kelp Blast and an organic liquid fertilizer, all organic grow... Is it too late to take a cut for a clone?? Been told my plants are Photos and not the Auto flowering as it took forever to flower; had to 12/12 light to get them to flower. 1st grow but

I'm in my first grow, Dutch Treat Medicinal, indoor grow, doing it on the cheap with LED lights, total luminage about 5000 lumens. All organic, good soil, using Kelp Blast and an organic liquid fertilizer. My plants are Photos not the Auto Flowers I thought I was getting cause it took 12/12 light to get them to flower and it took forever... I was told to harvest my buds when the trichomes are about 50 percent amber? They are still clear now. Your thoughts? I was told not to take a clipping for a clone cause it might hurt my girls... Advice, thoughts, I have them on 18/6 now.

Your thoughts, advice... would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and :welcome: Stage3b! I’m flattered but I am far from an expert. I’ll accept adept apprentice lol.

Congratulations on taking the bull by the horns and growing your own medicine.

Regarding trichomes, I normally harvest at or near all cloudy with a few clear or a few amber.
What are you hoping to get from cannabis? This could heavily dictate when harvesting would be ideal.

Taking clones in flower, in my opinion, should be avoided unless you really need to save the genetics. I’ve done it successfully and my advice would be to trim off all the bud sites when you take the cut. I see no reason why taking cuts in flower would create a problem. Just remember that it is still stress to take a cut. This will likely draw some energy away from making buds but again, you have to weigh whether that’s worth it.

I’m glad to have ya Stage. Stick around and we can both learn how to grow outdoors lol. I’m very fortunate that I have so many fantastic growers that stop by here. There’s a lot of knowledge you can gain from these folks and this is the best place on the internet to do it!

Awesome spread @Archiweedies what a joy it must be to "work" in your garden!

Bahh you got a ton of plant there @Stage3B ! Pick a little shoot down low and chopper! Won't hurt it a bit. Probly will help. Plus even if it does cause some delay (which I'd guess it won't) you've waited all this time, a tiny little blip of slowdown to this grow in order add to the family is a big win in the big picture!

I gifted a couple of short little cuts with nice buds forming from my bloomers to a buddy, they are now revegged and doing fine!

Hi and :welcome: Pbass! Thanks for the kind words. Like most of us, it’s always a work in progress around here but I love every minute of it. It is my dream to one day have a nice vegetable garden and a proper garden in my backyard. Beez has a beautiful yard from what I’ve seen.

I shouldn’t be so tough on clones in flower. They do seem to root faster, but take longer to start growing in my limited experience.
Thanks for jumping in Pbass :thumb:
