What size pots are you using? It could be the angle but they look small compared to plant size. That could be what is holding them back.

Sent from this funny device I carry around and still call a phone even though I hardly ever make calls with it.

Evenin Nis, Canna and friends. Lookin very good Nis, ready to fill it ! Looks like you 'squared off' the inside...:thumb: Will you be able to fill it...right to the top? Are you's planning on putting all those in , or just four/six?.. It's gonna rock bud. You and C will have lots of fun training them around in there...what a top shelf job Nis...:high-five:

I have an idea for when you have to empty it..fast , effective and cool OK.
Have a great night Nis,..Canna and friends.:circle-of-love:

Today was a busy busy day in the veg room. First we cleared out the veg room and swept and mopped the floor and the walls. It's amazing when you spray foliars...it just goes everywhere. Then the big job for the day was to get the 4 blue dream clones and 4 tutankhamon clones put into their troughs. We had them both built but had to add the wire mesh, not chicken wire, on the original one we had built. So we cut the fabric off and made the addition. When we built the 2nd one we picked up more fabric, this time 4' wide this time instead of 3' to make it so more soil could fit in there. Just under 3 kits worth of soil was used today so its roughly 75 or 80 gallons in each trough...and yes I'm going to add a bit more to the top since after watering it sunk in 1" or so.

Training will start tomorrow after they have gotten used to their new homes. The SCrOG will sit 18" above the top of the soil. Each trough will have an independent screen 8' x 2' giving us 32 square feet total of canopy. Once we are 70% full we will be sliding them into the flower room to start putting on some weight. After the transplant they got plain water and the leaf wash. If we still have mites...not anymore as the entire fleet, minus the flower room, got washed as well. Now onto the pictures! Covered the process well I think. Tuts up front and blue dream in the back.

Those troughs are killer. I'd love to have the space to run even one like that. And you can just roll them into flower. Excellent job guys!

I love it! I love the beds! So nice!

Hey guys I've got a major problem using a room and not a tent has caused MAJOR smell issues. Someone knocking at my front door can smell it and I thought that was bad and it is but today at my doctors appointment it got serious the nurse said to me you smell bad like a skunk and then another patient who I don't know but was sitting next to says you got any more to share and I've not smoked today meaning it's in my clothes as the grow room is connected to my bedroom I've gotta do something fast like today and I'm basically broke. Any ideas how to make a filter for my exhaust fan and my exhaust fan is really a bathroom exhaust fan I bought and rigged up to work for my plants. HELP!!

Ok wow nice beds I've got some questions. What is the pvc for? When you water is there runoff? When you mix nutes how do you know how much to make since the plants are all growing together? How are you keeping the plants from trading traits via roots? How deep is the soil and what's the bottom of the beds to keep in the soil and or water? Lol and I've got more. I love this journal you guys are the best homemade rosin presses and all

I got a tutorial for cheap filter in my signature. I used activated coal for fish, finer grain works best. Hope it helps man, good luck with that! :phew:

We are hoping this works out for us like we plan. Hoping for 3 or 4 lbs total. That would be 1.3 - 1.9 gpw. That's a tall order but I think it is possible for sure.

Thanks duggs. The dimensions holding the soil are 14"W x 93"L x 15" deep. Plenty of support and a ton of soil. The biggest chore will be watering since each trough would be able to take close to 10 gallons if they get totally dry. Yikes!
Those troughs are killer. I'd love to have the space to run even one like that. And you can just roll them into flower. Excellent job guys!

Moving them around on wheels is a major plus. Oh I can't wait for them to go into flower.
I love it! I love the beds! So nice!
Thanks doc! I think 4 plants in 80 gallons will do just fine don't ya think? In a few days when they grab a hold of the soil and get their first drench they will explode with growth. Was thinking about setting up the time lapse on them to watch the growth.

Ok wow nice beds I've got some questions. What is the pvc for?
The pvc is for the scrog screen. We have not run the string yet since it would just be in the way right now. But we had it on there for picture purposes so we could show what it would look like.
you water is there runoff? When you mix nutes how do you know how much to make since the plants are all growing together?
Well this is quite simple since we are using docs kit. We feed the soil and the soil feeds the plants. Everything gets mixed up per gallon of soil rather than per gallon of water. As for the runoff, yes we do get runoff. We put some corrugated plastic under the trough to catch the runoff and sloped it so that it only will drain out one end of the trough.

How are you keeping the plants from trading traits via roots?
Well I am not quite sure this is possible but even if they were to do this, they are clones from the same mother so they look the same regardless. Wanted to use clones from the same plant so all of them would have the same structure and we would know how they would grow. The mothers were just harvested last week so we have a good idea on what to expect. The blue dream I think we hit with the cat drench too late so it'll be something to watch out for.

How deep is the soil and what's the bottom of the beds to keep in the soil and or water?
15" is the depth of the trough and we used the best of the best landscaping fabric we could buy. It is strong enough to hold the weight but it allows water to drain and air to go into the roots. We put 1/2" galvanized wire mesh underneath of that to hold the rest of the weight so we don't have any blow outs.

Lol and I've got more. I love this journal you guys are the best homemade rosin presses and all

Thanks for the kind words and I hope you can get your grow smell taken care of. I have seen some diy carbon filters done on here before so you may have to do some searching around.

Thanks everyone for the kind words on this build. It was a long time coming and took a lot of planning and a lot of time to build and make it right. I'm sure we may change some stuff in the future but that is expected. Want to get the kinks out now before we go fully legit. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, don't be afraid to fire them off.

Happy Monday everyone!

:Namaste:

Absolutely!!! Never had a garden before? Never plant peppers next to tomatoes or you end up with spicy tomatoes

Yeah. But for some reason I never put it together with weed. I never planted different strains in the same container.
Thanks

Actually still not sure this is possible. I been googling for a few minutes. Still checking around.....

I'm just curious beyond hearsay. Feel me ?

The right plant,,, and a well-timed flip,, and the big three,, food, light, and air,, anything can happen.. A SCOG can definetly make great use of alotted space. Well built unit.. GL and Keepem Green

Ohio...i feel for ya bud. I dried a crop once in my workshop (right below house side door and clothes rack) and the 'smell' got all thru the coats and jackets hanging up a floor above ...the x called me sayin my son's jacket stunk...bad news for sure....last time i did that...but yes the smell will get into everything. Only real cure is to get a proper fan/filter set up , sorry bud.:(
