What can I say, he had a good argument on why to get it. It'll be so much easier on him, but me also. All that time he spent doing those other time lapse videos takes away from the time I get with him. Call me selfish, but if a little toy gets me more time, then usually I'm ok with it, as long as it's within reason.Cool.
Jeez Nis. Approval Schmooval. Lol
Easy Peasy man.

Hey C&N. There's no way I can catch up on your journal since I've been gone. So I will just start from here.
Hope all is well with you guys.
The year long veg is a provocative experiment. May I ask where that idea originated? Thankfully you have the room to play.
NoooooB ! Hey man I see how it is. You get a killer harvest and you just disappear with it. Didn't ur mamma teach you how to share buddy.. Lol. When's the next journal gettin fired up ?
Hope you been good man.

Hi Canna and nis all good?
Hey, those are attributes of having sex, not smoking! Lol... Works for me, eh... So let's all have a toke, and go have... LolIncreases wakefulness, motivation, alertness, and creativity. Improves attention, memory, and fine motor skills. Can help with ADHD. Acts as a neuroprotective. Decreased rates of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease. Potential treatment for the latter... Has been proven to treat cognitive impairments associated with Alzheimer's, schizophrenia, and ADHD. Anti-inflammatory. Pain-relief. Helps the gut. Activates POMC neurons, which then go on to activate the melanocortin MC4R receptors - which increases metabolism and decreases hunger (/helps control/prevent obesity). Helps repair tissue. Helps stabilize chaotic dopaminergic activity, which is another way that it helps schizophrenics by improving their functionality. Enhances the efficacy of Tourette's Syndrome treatment drugs. Antidote to strychnine poisoning, lol. Lower incidence of: uterine fibroids, canker sores, endometriosis and endometriosis cancer, vomiting during pregnancy, venous thrombosis, and fatality in heart attacks (although the last two are probably not causal).
But I'll give you the "it'll kill ya" argument. My father's father smoked Kools every day of his life (although some decades after they introduced a filter-tip option, he switched to those from Kool Regulars (non-filters). And he died of cancer. Poor guy was only 93 .
Just found a new camera that will take 240,000 pictures on one charge and can be plugged in. Automatically stitches the pictures together and sends via WiFi to the computer. Intervals ranging from .3 seconds to 24 hours. Even has a LCD screen.
I've read of people setting up entire "camera networks" using old unwanted cell phones and their computer as the "brain." Of course, you don't get optical zoom and a lot of older, cheaper cell phone cameras are nothing to write home about. But some folks seem to have several of the things just laying around collecting dust. I was once able to buy one for only $10 for Mom to use as a Solitaire game when her hands got to the point that shuffling a real deck of cards was a challenge. Cell phones can be plugged in to the electrical receptacle - and even a battery in poor condition should suffice for the occasional short-term power outage, so you wouldn't need to add them to the burden of your grow lights' UPS (assuming you use UPS) - and have WiFi. You would probably need to depend on your computer to do the auto-stitching and video creation (might be easier if you run a linux OS, as most distros have tens of thousands of applications available to install with the press of a button directly from their repositories... IDK, it has been years since I've paid attention to the Microsoft OS world) unless there is some kind of app in that Google Play Store thing. I'd think that, with video resolution being what it is, even the less capable cell phone hardware would be adequate for what you're doing - but I guess other aspects, such as depth of field (which could be important if you decide to do your entire grow room instead of one plant) would be less than a good DSLR, lol. And not every cell phone's default camera app has provisions for manual white-balance adjustment, which is probably wanted, depending on the overall color of your grow room lighting.
Just a thought.
I am sure there are many on here that understand it all like myself, but I just had a small chuckle thinking about how many people are like "What ????"
Seriously though. There is an app in the playspot on googs called ipwebcam. We use an old cell phone for security.
Features include motion sensor activation. Recording ability. Zoom, white balance and many other.
And the ability to broadcast via WiFi or internet anywhere access
