Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

I agree. But what if the offspring is stronger than this DDA? I think we will go both routes. Use already collected pollen for one. STS on one. Colloidal silver on one. If odds are in our favor, 3 autos wouldn't be unreasonable right?
Wouldn't you want to breed it with itself since it will be carnival and dda? You wouldn't want to breed it with just dda, then you are breeding out the carnival, which defeats the purpose of breeding it with carnival in the first place. Right?

Thanks birdie! I've upped my doses for this cold. Thanks for the joint a day recommendation. I'll be sure to add that top my protocol. :hugs: :thanks:

Hey Canna sorry to hear your not feeling 100%. Just a thought, how's the RH in your living/ sleeping area? We all jump thru hoops to get the environment correct for our plants but not always for ourselves. 50% RH helps control illness because the shit bugs hate it lol. Just food for thought, hope your 100% soon

Blessed buds to you guys

Morning guys. Canna hope you're doin better lady. A lot of great people pullin for you. Even people like me. Lol.
This is a lil beyond my depth. The breeding. I am payin attention though. For future references.
Okay all. Have a great day.

Phrum the light room.

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

I would think you would want to clone the parent and back cross to get the traits you want. The parent is a male right? Easy, then you clone the male and breed it with the selected females. That'd the way I understand it.

Good morning Noob!! :passitleft:

The pollen donor is an auto fem Dark Devil. He sprayed her with CS until pollen sacs formed. They opened and have pollinated the 2 photos Carnival and Purple Kush.

We can't clone the "father" since she's an auto. We will need to grow some seeds, figure out which ones are auto, and which ones are photos. Then take the best auto, spray it and make it pollinate itself to keep the desired phenom strong. Then we do that a couple more times to "stabilize" the strain. Then boom! We have a Devils Carnival Auto.

Since everything was female when we started, we should only get female seeds. That's why we went this route. No male genes.

Canna , a very good morning to you. Hope you are feeling better today. Are you getting lots of "love" and "mothering" from your man.....if not just let me know , and i'l have a word with him....:tokin: try and have a great day....lots of time to chill with the kids at school....thinkin about ya today! Cheers eh.:circle-of-love:
High there Dugg's! I'm feeling a bit better today. Have to run a couple errands, then go work on Sparkle some more. We have 4.5 man hrs into her harvest already. I'm taking more Cco caps and taking cinnamon and honey for the cold. Thanks for your concern about Nis. He's always good to me, so there are no complaints here.

Well have to look into that. We have the breeding tent in one of our bedroom closets. I have a suspicion that it's just allergies from the damn pollen flying all over, but it seems to have settled in my chest. Who knows. The RH makes sense though. We've got plenty of those hygrometers here. I'll check it out. Thanks! :passitleft:

Breeding is easy. Spray, grow sacs, pollinate females. Lol! It takes forever to do it though. Well, to get a stable strain anyway.

Yes, spray, grow sacs, pollinate females. OK Bumble. No where in there did they say... BEAT THE CRAP OUTTA THAT B*TCH! Yep, I got seeds alright! Lol....
Good morning ya'll.

Peaceful blazing...
Classy violence lol. :passitleft:

I can't argue with that logic. I have never researched that method before. I only know about back crossing, squaring, and cubing. Does breeding thus way help to control the plant from going hermy?

Here is some info I found on some searching around. I think it might be a pain in the ass having to go more generations that we originally thought. I thought 3 or 4 would be enough so we will see.

However, creating a new autoflowering strain from a regular cannabis strain can prove to be a little more difficult. The ruderalis autoflowering genetic heritage is inherently unstable. Whilst obtaining a cross may be reasonably achievable, obtaining a cross that is stable and consistent is another matter.

F1s of a cross between a stable autoflowerer and a regular cannabis strain are likely to be wild and unstable, demonstrating a wide range of characteristics with only a small percentage carrying the autoflowering properties. The trick behind it is to successively back cross for several generations, selecting each time for autoflowering traits as well as vigor, potency and taste. With each successive generation you should realize more and more stability with an increasing percentage of autoflowering offspring. However, it will take many generations of this before you can truly say that you have created an autoflowering strain.

So basically we make seeds. Plant. Find the autos. Make pollen with those autos. Pollinate. Repeat 3 or 4 times. We were on the right track.

Hey guys.
I need a lil info on foliar feeding. I have some NL in reveg from clone and I wanna side by side comp. a couple with this method.
Never done it. Clones are in one gallon pots and very good root formation. I have General Hydroponics nutes.
Any links or info would be appreciated. You can drop it off in my journal below or, if Canna n Nis don't mind, here.
Sorry to just drop n n interrupt your thread. But in my defense it's the way I think. I consider this thread to be a hub of information among friends and visitors alike.

A closed mouth don't get fed. The squeaky wheel get the grease. What have you.
Thanks guys

I'm sure Nis is probably answering this as I type, but that's funny! Come on over anytime and squeak your wheels. Lol!

Foliar feeding is a technique of feeding plants by applying liquid fertilizer directly to their leaves. Plants are able to absorb essential elements through their leaves. The absorption takes place through their stomata and also through their epidermis.

We actually had a talk about this a month ago and had a meeting of the minds. Mr. Krip and millertm had some awesome info regarding foliar feeding. In fact, a little later I'll put a link to this in my signature.

Edit - I can't get the damn link to work from the post. But it's post 1374 and on our journal here and going forward. July 15th.

Hope this helps for ya. If you need more info, let me know.

Sooo cool. Its like we have our own lil 420 Emegency Response Team. I went outside to check in eggplants n peppers n came back n n seen this.
Thanks. I sorta remembered you guys discussing this last month. Just wasn't so sure. I'm sure I even liked one or more than a few. I read constantly but I have a disability that forbids me to remember stuff I'm not interested in at the time. I'm sure there's a name for it. Probably a very funny one.
Anyhow thanks Nis. And anyone else that would like to provide input it's much appreciated.

I wasn't questioning your methods. I was trying to understand your method. I have no idea what you guys are doing although I do have some genetics background. Thus is all new to me. Sounds like a pain in the ass to me.

I love the variety and all the projects you guys are taking on. I do kind of miss the grow journals you used to have though. Thus thread is becoming SweetSue size which makes it hard to keep up with you guys unless I stay on your journal all the time.
