Great grow, great read guys. I skimmed through, 176 pages would take me a little while...I have a couple questions about your breeding project. I have very little experience with autos, I've grown two outdoors.
Anyways..
Did the "father" self seed after the CS treatments?
And do you know if the seeds produced will be mainly autos?

Hey Maynman...ya , outdoor growers are lucky....they are able to grow outside in the beautiful sunshine and get huge yields! I can't, i live in the city and if i tried it would get stolen, for sure! That's all i meant Maynman....cheers bud and everyone have a great day!

Not all of the buds created pollen sacs and made the change, so I can only assume and hope that there was some self pollination. The bud that is all open sacs will be "harvested" and the pollen stored. So we will find out if it did in a little over a month.
As for the seeds being autos...statistically only 25% will be autos after this run. So what we have planned is...we will be starting 16-20 of these seeds once they are ready. Then we will keep one non-auto and grow it out. Then we will keep all autos we get and make more seeds with them. If we are blessed with extras, they will be grown out normally. All of the others will get the axe.
There is a lot of good information that we have acquired about the breeding, so as soon as this is successful I planned on doing a write up to consolidate the information gained so others can enjoy this. To make seeds it cost me roughly $30 total and about 3 months time.

Thank you for the words of wisdom and the kindness. I had a hermie a few years back. I kept all the seeds from the other plants in the tent that got seeded. I had hundreds if not more seeds but uncle Sam thought I needed a little break from life and I lost all my gear. Lesson learned, don't get caught doing stupid s#*t.
Anyways.. whenever I planted those seeds they would hermie with the slightest bit of stress, not too bad but I would have a few seeds every harvest. When grown outdoors they would be fine, except for the mold. Probably better to just put that whole thing behind me.
Endless autos sounds cool, the outdoor season sucks in New England but I insist on torturing myself with photos.

Hermie seeds will most likely produce hermie plants when stressed. The collidial (sp?) Silver treatments that these guys are using is the best way , make that the only way that I've heard of to produce female seeds without passing down the hermie gene.

Colloidal silver was used with this project. The next time we will use both colloidal silver and STS (silver thiosulfate) on seperate plants to see if there is a giant difference between the two. The pros use STS so we will see. But so far we have been nothing but successful.

Dude, I'm not stepping on the landmine that is breeding until I'm well into 5 or 6 more grows. I would think keeping the same father would be ideal. Crossing it back with your best auto should make it stronger genetically, no?
I agree. But what if the offspring is stronger than this DDA? I think we will go both routes. Use already collected pollen for one. STS on one. Colloidal silver on one. If odds are in our favor, 3 autos wouldn't be unreasonable right?

I don't know about huge yields.
Got pretty long node spacing. Where they are they don't really get enough hours of sun and I think that's why they're stretching some. With the sun getting lower in the sky I don't know how this will turn out. I left them in pots just in case I have to move them to get more light during flower!!!
