WeedSeedsExpress Godfather OG In LOS Scrogged & Cored

Highya SO,

Wow, that's a large diameter cannabis clone. She looks really healthy! Great job, man! Happy Smokin'
Hi Bode, good noticing. One of the plants is growing faster so I gave it a good topping. so it's the original apical stem. How's the summer going? When do yours start to flower up there?

Highya SO,

I think around the last of August. I always plann that way, and the 10 week flowering ladies finish up by mid October. Summer weather is kinda funny!! Warm earlier and cool the last few days (72 or lower). Happy Smokin'

Hi, I have good news! let me tell you how the cloning trial is going.

I left her sprayed and covered overnight. About 8am the next day I took the cover off and began the process of phase 2. Weaning her off taking moisture from her leaves with the r and r'ing of the damp cover. Through the process she never wilted. When she made all the parameters of the test I covered her up for the night as written.

Next morning(today) at 8 am again, the cover came off for the day as I watched closely. No wilting! So I think it's done. The cover is off for the night and hopefully forever. It's the "fourth" day. Easy peasy thanks to @beez0404 :ciao:
Here's the comparison pics. One taken at 12:18 pm and the other at 6:37. Seems good to go though I'll be watching.

Looking and learning...going good SO.

What made you decide not to wait until 70 to max out the amount? I'm getting close to having to make that decision.
That's a good question. For us, the extra $ didn't add up to enough to wait.
I did the math for my situation, to compare taking the money at 62.5 vs taking it at age 70. If you wait until age 70 to start drawing Social Security, the extra monthly amount doesn't make up for the 7.5 years of deferral until I'm something like 82 years old. And that doesn't even account for lost interest/appreciation from investing that 7.5 years of monthly payments. By 82, if I'm still kickin', I won't probably be spending much money anymore. So... it certainly makes more sense (again for my situation) to take the smaller amount of money now instead of waiting until age 70.

That's the math I used. There's no other choice really for us men (especially working in bad environments like me) I believe. Taking care of our mates is the other factor that might have changed my mind. We made the decision together.

Clone is looking good otter!

That's a good question. For us, the extra $ didn't add up to enough to wait. We both are retired with fixed income and won't be going back to work for health reasons. She retired at 60 and I at 62. We'd be struggling @ 70 we thought.
That makes sense!

I never considered taking SS at first chance (62/now), but I was debating full retirement age (66yrs 8mos) vs. 70. I guess a lot of this depends on when the owner of my company decided to close up shop too!

There's so many bits to think about. I'm 65 + 2 months. You would actually have a much shorter wait.
Oh...I killed the clone, pic to come. I didn't follow directions. Achhhh!

Sorry to hear that otter. I actually move a lot slower than beez0404's instructions and have a pretty good success rate with the Dip'n Grow. I leave the clear cups on top for at least a week, and then tip them back the tiniest bit for another week, then about an inch until I see a lot of roots. I'm not in the rush he is.

For all plants. I cut just below the node, cut the fans and branches off and scrape the sides of the stem slightly. Apply some cheap hormone powder or cinnamon. Then its in soil in 2x2x2 pots with humidity dome[nursery trays.] 2 liter bottle cut in half would work too.
100% success rate with this method for all plants.

When you can remove the dome without them wilting they have roots. When you see them start getting taller its time to uppot.

Good thing there's more to make on her. Yep I failed to wait the inicial 3 days. It was a main stem so plenty of meat to it so it fooled me(i'm easy) into thinking it was taking water from the soil when I believe it was using itself as a pool. One morning it went totally sideways. I have 4 cbd cream and cheese's working now. Today, after 3 days I took the covers off for 2 - 20 minute periods and during the second they all wilted so I covered em up until tomorrow.

Your method is interesting too, there's a time and place for that too for me. Thanks for sharing!

This is what happens when I don't read instructions properly. I didn't wait the inicial 3 days to start weaning off leaf feeding.

Happy Saturday everyone! R+R time! Well something like that anyway. These Godfathers are starting to take hold of the soil and are making a good swift run. I've been doing some lst for a flat top so when I lay the net down they'll be working it already.

I decided to not use the elastic net and make a screen with copper pipe and 2.5 inch holed nylon. The elastic one had 6 inch holes and I'm finding I need to always be fixing it to make smaller holes. Waiting for parts now.

Here they are happy as clams.

UPDATE

Hey there folks. It's a super day here! Perfectly sunny in the low 70's. Perfect opportunity to put some work into the scrog net. I decided to go away from the elastic one I got so I could get 2.5 inch holes instead of about 6 inch holes. Just sweated some 3/4 inch copper pipe together and zip tied the net to it. 4 corner holes and eyes to hand from ratcheting hangers from the top tent bars. So far it's looking like it'll work.

These Godfathers have been a grow mode this week. They found their legs and are on the move. First tucking went good, they are soft limbed and move where I want them. It won't be long until the net's full and flower time starts! I'm getting excited already to watch these beauties make some bud. Here they are.

On the rooting front These cbd cream and cheese are on their day 9 I believe, today is the first 24+ hour period they're without any help from the cover cups. I'm watching them every few hours for changes and so far so good. Another week and maybe I'll see a root or two.
Wishing you all a great day!

SO...looking great. The scrog is sturdy...I did the same with 1/2 pvc. Now I use it as my drying rack in my grow cabinet.

Highya SO,

Love the scrog net setup! Godfather OG's look like they'll fill it out very nicely! Nice job!! Copper tubing was a nice choice! Happy Smokin'
