Ethiopian looking interestingly good...

~Chocolate Mint OG~

Harvested CM2 this eve. She turned out pretty decent. Frosty... looks just like the sort of bud I don’t like to smoke but everyone else does.

~Ethiopian~

I’m actually starting to feel fond of this one.
Her tip is starting to turn into a large spearpoint of fluffy fluffy. Looks like it might get heavy later on. The lower branches - I don’t have the heart to cut them off, even though they don’t get to see much light.

Gorgeous buds, Brother! :high-five:
They look just like the stuff I like to smoke, for sure! :ganjamon:

Thanks o 420 friends :)

MI this is my Chocolope.

That’s one gallon pot.
Yeah she seems a bit of a wimpy thing. Plants are left to fend for themselves in my veg room so some of that’s me- she’s a bit neglected and underlit- but still... obviously not a very robust one.

I’m sure it will. If it doesn’t die in some accident first. I should be giving mine more wind but have been too busy to do a lot of things lately- including going and earning some money and buying a better fan :surf: And I’m not even sure it could handle more wind anyway.

Reckoning day for the sativa/OGK section yesterday as I found an hour in the middle of the night sometime to go do a little LST on them.

First I tried sticking the 6’ tall OGK in a tomato cage. But its heavy limbs folded over at cage height and it ended up looking ridiculous. You can kind of see it on the front right.

I laid some stakes across the top of the cage to make a platform to rest its buds on.

At least now she’s not tall anymore. I moved her over to the short plants side.
Tead I’m wondering what you think of how it looks?
It looks sort of sativa-dominant fluffy. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to look like though. I guess I had something more like the CM2 in mind.

I dreamed up an idea last week - started wondering if that whole side of the grow has had some light cycle/reveg type issues. While I was away getting my eye worked on the girlie had a bulb burn out. She replaced it with an old one, after trying a few old duds. But when I got back I noticed the light from that one wasn’t looking right, so I replaced it with yet another old one and ordered a new bulb.

Remember that GTx3 plant that took months to even sex in the flowering room? And that whole side of the grow is mostly leafy fluffy sativas anyway, none of which I’ve grown before, so harder to say for sure whether they’re budding right at this point. But the OGK?

In any case I think they’re all budding ok now, they just maybe got distracted for a while.

Anyway- back to the LST. I macheted half the branches off of GTx3, the most troublesome one, and sort of weaved the tops into a flat platform.

(Thanks for believing in me Ms Morgan Grade six remedial basket weaving! you believed in me and I knew I would make you proud one day! ❤️)

The Ethiopian- I sort of pony-tailed her middle branches but otherwise left her alone.
GTx2 I left alone because she looks surprisingly good. I fancy she’s starting to grow those pointy Thai buds that look like giant wasp asses. Mislabelled the name of the first pic -whoops

Ya know.... Tead a pro at growing in a light challenged world. I've often had stretches (long and short) where I've turned lights down for heat reasons. I know a light challenged bud when I see one.
One can dance on the subject all day long, but the last steps must be about how missing horsepower translates into less product. Pour horsepower on 'em and see if they fill up rather than poke out more little bud offshoots.
Now, having said that.... 'em r sum gooooood lookin buds! Much larger than the smaller OGKs I've grown in the past. I'm so green with envy that I may go order some more OGK seeds dammit!
Despite my light challenged buds, the smoke from them has always been awesome... so you'll be happy there none the less.

Thanks. ;) Lighting has been on my mind a lot lately. Also that OGK was in a particularly dark corner. She grew up higher than the reflector and I didn’t really have the time to deal with her and it was easiest to just leave her there to think about what she’d done.

All caught up again, that was a bit of a rollercoaster...journals of the best sort as ever. Hope everything works out with your eye mate and things are good over here too. I went away for a detox as I was turning into one of those yellow tinged tans that was mentioned earlier and came back to a pretty sight of my remaining 3 plants doing well, it seems anyone and everyone can manage to grow a weed without killing it apart from me...I really should learn to grow. Anyway they surely can't have too long left now and it will make a nice change smoking some Bubba's Gift instead of the misfit breed I crossed and have been smoking ever since.

Bought myself one of those vapes that I can carry around for emergency situations, in fact I saw it advertised on the front page of this magazine and liked the looks of it, especially the price. It seems that different vape temps affect the high/medicinal benefits according to Google and I believe it because I want to, it put me to sleep last night content in the fact that the temp was the best effect I wanted, 15 mins later I was waking up with a solid 6 hours gone astray...perfect.

Love the pics, especially those keeping the content allowable. I was chuckling to myself thinking no more slapped wrists for Mr Weaselcracker, took your time learning though whut? All the best to you and if there are any caches left around that can't be found I'm bringing a divining rod and going on a mission, failing that I'm booked to go away to Amsterdam later on this month where the streets are paved with gold, or green whichever way you look at it. All the best to you and yours, will be back soon for another catch up but it's time for my vape and bed here :)

geez weas,, holey moley,, pai8nted them thumbs green so long ago you did,, such a feast for the eyes your plants are

that og kush,, wow,, did i say 'wow'? i forget,,

looks nothing at all like my puney plant,, puney perhaps,, but dern fine,, indeed.

but my kush has the densest buds of any plant i grow,, but what a fine smell and taste,, also unlike any other plant i grow,,

alas, i have run into major cloning issus lately,, perhaps your spore problem has reached me somehow,,,,so i have one og kush plant ready to harvest,, last one i have anywhere,,, and i will try and reveg it but there are near no leaves on it now and i do not like my chances

same with my mama thai/thai stick plant,, the best plant i have,, i have no clones,, only a couple of plants in flower to try to reveg ,, i know,, pretty serious problems ,, first world type,,

so i have decided to rebuild my entire operation,,, i have a 10 x 20 studio building where my grow is now, and instead of renovating my existing space, i am going to build an entirely new space at the other end of the studio, then remove the old room and transfer the plants over once done

not a lot bigger, but perhaps better

going to be looking into cobs,, not the fermented mj cobs, you know

really liking the looks of the gt cross i have,, coming along real nice,, indeed,, not huge, at all,, but nice

cheers friend,, keep up the growth ya gots goin on up there,, cheers friend,,

I won’t apologize too much for my late replies. I’ve been run off my feet till late every night. I hope nobody minds the pauses too much. :)

Nice weave

:thanks:

Indeed! Ms. Morgan would be proud!

Yes, indeed she would... :passitleft:

A great pleasure to hear from you Kriaze and I’m glad to know you’re still out there raging against the dying of the plants and whatnot. ‘No more slapped wrists’... ha ha ha.. I wish. Sigh... Still present and kicking though
for now. Thanks for popping in and I hope catching up wasn’t too painful, the journal has had some ups and downs, as you say. :).

I do hope you’ll be back around again sometime soon.

Thanks for the compliments Nivek. You are another one I wish was around journaling more. I’d like to be seeing how those plants are doing, and your lighting and your rebuild.
I’ve been feeling more secure on the cloning roller coaster since I bought the aeroponic cloner. I know all too well the slow motion monkey wrench in the works it is when you can’t get clones. With the aeroponic cloner if I sterilize everything I can get (so far) guaranteed roots, provided the roots grow within 2.5 weeks or so. After three weeks that little sterile world has been completely reinvaded by wriggly zoospores and I have to start over again.
I expect if I (and you?) applied the cleanliness ethic to any other cloning method it would do ok too- but somehow for me this aeroponic bucket thing seems self-contained enough that it makes things feel more finite and achievable, re the sterilization efforts.

Does everything you own have claw marks?
I think you kinda said that a while back... but sheesh!

One man's annoyance is another man's hempy pot....

I was tidying up around the fire pit tonight and turned up yet another such lucky find. Hurrah! :surf:

Yeah that’s the old darkness creeping back in on us again for another year- shrinking my world down a bit. 11:30 when I took that one and pretty much totally dark. Two weeks ago and it would have been nice and light out.

You draw an attractive world with your words and pictures... at least for those of us wishing for a bit more nature in our worlds.
I suspect a week of such joy would convince us all to move back home, but it is fun to dream.
Someday I'd like to implement some of your world in mine... but with a quicker drive to the store. I was picturing a cabin in Lake Tahoe with a killer view.

Well thank the gods for some reason most people do prefer to squeeze together in the city, or this place would be... just like everywhere else I suppose. I suspect you’re probably one of the few who’d actually love it, since you seem to be living a country vibe in the middle of the city. I’ve lived in plenty of cities. I miss vibrant culture and especially the music scenes. If I was going to live in the city again it would be somewhere like you are. But it often seemed to me like the magic of the city just wasn’t there when I looked for it, or needed to be constantly lubricated with large amounts of money to not quickly became a dreary sham. Now I’m just glad everyone else seems to like the city so much, cause otherwise they’d all be here.
I’ve got a ton to do today including racking 20 gallons of cherry wine, but for now I’m having a late morning cup of tea and a smoke in the sunshine and listening to nothing but bees and birds and the deer grazing in my yard. One of my fawn twIns seems to have maybe disappeared. The neighbours down the road let their dogs escape a lot. I guess nowhere is really free from shit, but most days I can keep my fantasy paradise bubble/life going strong.
