Deficiencies that start low indicates a mobile nutrient which should give you insight about what elements to look at as culprits. As to what stays in the media I would think would depend if you practice the 10% runoff rule or if you drench it like traditional hydro. From looking at the way Doc's kit progresses, I see he amends his mix with the N, P and Ca natural elements for slow release via microbes, but also he puts in some syths too for quick release. All must cook together with 30lbs of EWC to establish the microbe colonies and stabilize the nutrients in the media, so to recreate some of that effect with the soft rock, you'll need microbes to break them down over time. So if you don't have the EWC or can ensure there will be the microbes in the media, just hold the SRP on the shelf for the time being. I just whipped up my best attempt yesterday with the 30lbs of EWC. I screwed up and ordered just regular RP which is only 0-3-0, whereas the SRP is 0-20-0 with an added 20% of calcium. We'll see if my first crack at amending soil is worth a shit.

I just noticed you got 5lbs of SRP. Did you order that from down here by chance, or up there? I only searched Amazon for SRP, but only found RP. I didn't want to order 50lbs of CalPhos and was hoping to find 5 lbs of the SRP to try out.

All in all though, after the brix kits are amended, colonized and "cooked", the feeds are hydro from that point forward. The drenches are made from nutrient salts, Fish Hydrol and in some cases kelp. The sprays are the some of the same contents.

You might do well to adopt a foliar spray to supplement any shortages? With no real rhyme or reason to guide me, with my sprays I want to give the top 5 elements about equally, but in the neighborhood of 20-30ppm each so ensure I don't burn the leaves as I don't know the limits for foliars and don't want to learn the hard lessons. I've been spraying now for about 2-3 months and if I exclude all of my other experimental damage, the sprays I believe are helping to smooth out any bumps.

Hmmm yeah, maybe wasted my $30 then by what youre saying. It popped up in a search - a new outfit in BC I’ve never seen before, and descibes it as SRP in the description, but is 0-3-0

Do you know if the rabbit turds have microbes? I think Bacillus Megaterium is the colony that frees P from P2O5, so if the bunny drops have that , you're back in business. If you look up "Calphos", that's the stuff with 20% P2O5 and 20% Ca, that's the stuff I want to get and use. It's only $20 for the 50lb, but I imagine shipping will be equivalent to a throat punch.

I’m not sure. They have complicated digestive systems though involving a whole lot of bacteria. I’ll do some searching.
Unlike cattle which regurgitate their food to get the most out of it, rabbits form some of their food into special pellets in their stomachs which ferment in there. They then excrete these pellets and eat them over again. The pellets average over 50% bacteria by weight which is pretty amazing - to me...Somehow they know the difference from regular turds before they arrive, and usually eat it directly from the source. They need this stuff to survive and without it their digestive systems and health totally goes to shit. (So to speak). So - basically bunnies eat poo, but we forgive them because they’re cute.

Is that why my dpg wouln't leave rabbit poop alone when he was a pup? I figured he was getting something he craved from it. He had a really bad digestive system for awhile.

Never knew if it was helping or causing the problem.

Oh I just wrote that, so it wasn’t from any source but myself. But the eating poop thing is - as I said it is. I’ve got lots of experience with bunnies.
It’s not poop- it just comes out the same hole. They’re called caecal pellets. You won’t usually notice them doing it because it just looks like they’re lowering their head down towards their tail for a second or two. Once in a while you’ll see the pellets left uneaten on the ground. They look like clusters of grapes about an inch and a half long. Not like the usual solitary turds. The clusters have a thick membrane around them to keep them isolated in the stomach. When they eat them they actually swallow them whole. It looks like they’re chewing- but I think it must just be a chore to swallow.

Bunnies will also eat the occasional regular looking turd. I see them do it all the time. Not sure why and haven’t looked into the science behind that if there is any. Like graytail’s dog they may or may not know what they’re doing. Or maybe they’re just gross.

I now know way too much about bunny turds.... and apparently caecal pellets.... damn Wikipedia!

"Cecal pellets (aka cecotropes) are a special food made by bunny, just for bunny. They are partially digested foods that are passed from the bunny and then reingested. You may not see bunny do this, but when she appears to be bathing her belly and she comes up chewing, she's probably just taken up a cecal pellet. "

If bunnies aren't eating the uneaten turds, they sick . Shouldn't really see uneaten turds, as they are ingested as they pass..

Polished turds are popular, make rings and all sorts of shit lol out of them

PCx seedlings have thin long pointy leaves...

Yeah once in a while they leave them lying around. Its fairly rare. I think sometimes they get eaten later- sometimes not.
Yeah there’s really good money in polished turds. A polished turd can lead entire countries. Usually does actually.

Here’s a post with the two I grew in it. One took after the MT more and one was more PC. Reasonably medium- skinny leaves.
