Lights not travelling at speed of light
that's cracked me up :passitleft:

Eyes closed for a few minutes dots falling down, another panel of dots and another etc etc only 100w light I've had seriously Fook up my vision

Greytail?
My dimmer is hang panels on chains and adjust accordingly. I've never needed to use a dimmer...

There are two dinner options built into the driver. I suspect I can use either safely but not really sure since my lack of knowledge of electronics is one of my biggest failings in life.

If you look up and down with your eyes closed, you can sort of play Pong with your eye dots. FYI, Family Guy did a skit on this, but don't ask me to recall which episode.

Some electronics have little screw pots of either flathead or philips head. If there's not a thumbwheel you can turn, it'll be the screw trim pots. Just use the smallest screw drivers you have to identify flat or Philips head.

After my first eye operations a year ago I had that gas bubble in my eye for a couple months and it was fun to tilt my head and make it jiggle and float around. But it sure got me weird looks.

Damn I’ve gotta grow some less speedy pot. o_OI’ve been moving so fast the last month I feel like I’m going to reach the end of my life before I even know what happened.

Well they definitely take a Phillips head. As for which pot does which- I suspect either will work and to really know more I’d have to sit my ignorant ass down and spend an hour or two studying basic electronics. As long as I can’t fry anything, which seems unlikely, I’ll use the ‘Io’ option. Ran the setup through my KillaWatt meter and it varies the wattage between 50-300 watts.

I believe the pot on the right is for current and the left is for voltage.

I was reading your first couple posts, I saw that graft splice! I once harvested a full canopy under a SCROG net and found I had totally split a plant where I topped it, split right in two between the two main stems. It was a graft that happened from weight and bending under the net I believe. Plant seemed 100% healthy the entire time and I never knew it until harvest.

nice setup good read right on man:thumb:

Thank you :). I think it was you who was asking about adding a particular nutrient and I offered to run your feeding schedule through the Hydro Buddy program. Happy to do that sometime if you are curious.

Yup - use current to adjust, not voltage. :thumb:

Thank you Graytail.

Normally when I give something the wrong voltage it gets fried. Seems odd they’d build in the ‘fry’ option so I’m guessing there’s more at work.

What distance do I hang these lights. Currently I have them at 16”- running at 125w each. I searched all over and answers were a little conflicting but if anything it seems I have them a little too close(?)

So you accidentally grafted some plants, that’s sort of funny. I could see that happening in nature pretty regularly I suppose. As I mentioned somewhere once before, I used to know of a hemlock tree that I found out in the forest. It’d separated into two trunks halfway up, which had then completely merged again about 6’ further up from that making an oval shape in the mid section of the tree. Not just glommed together as often happens, but completely integrated so they shared the same bark layer. So I suppose that’s an example of accidental grafting.

16 inches is a bit close. It depends on the stage of growth. If they're freshly flipped, they can take a lot more light, but otherwise I keep mine at 24 inches, give or take. Because the diodes are so spread out, the damage tends to be simply too much light instead of actual burn. The top growth will fade and struggle.

That’s amazing.125 watts?
Too much light? (Is that possible?)
24”?....
Can’t compute....
:lot-o-toke:
error

Ever since I first started growing I’ve never been able to take decent pics in flowering. I use the lens of some ‘HID sunglasses’ along with a bunch of colour adjustment, and it’s still almost pointless. So I’m pretty excited about these LEDs for that if nothing else.

Photos under these LEDs are still a little off-colour and artificial, but far better than things were. These are taken on my phone without colour adjustment.

Looking Great Weazle!
Lovely looking pc buds.

Sorry, just clear this up.....

Speaking of old culture's. Heard on radio yesterday, going to open up some old sites in Australia.. one they found artifacts dating back 100,000 years..other is a site not far from me, 6,500 year old fish breeding farm. Thats going to be world heritage listed...
I don't get it though, land was only discovered 200 years ago...
Duuuuudddeeee what?
Im pretty sure, the Aboriginals of Australia find that a tad offensive seen as their culture has existed for 40,000 years....one of the oldest on Earth.
The fish farm is an Aboriginal invention.
200 years ago English invaded and stole their country...is that what you mean by discovered?
Sorry mate.

Learn to read, existed over100,000 my friend...I'm fairly sure my mates would laugh and say 'yeah teach the kids Captain Cook discovered Australia, get an A in class, read your history books' We're a sarcastic bunch down here...

I had to bone up on my Australian history 'cause I was shocked to hear that it'd only been 200 years. :hmmmm: 237 actually, I guess.

Wow, the USA was just getting its independence as your continent was first being settled.

My people first got here from Scotland in 1650, as prisoners from the battles against Cromwell.

:high-five:

Id like to see the 100,000yr proof, but wouldnt suprise me. I was referring to proof aboriginal culture existed 40,000 yrs ago, which is proven ....but....Gondwanna has been around a long time, full of suprises.
