Ooh it’s very fortunate you came along when you did.
I couldn’t find the screen photos I had taken of my HBuddy results. So I had to go and crunch the numbers over again.
I figured out that when it came time to actually mix the stuff up I had made a mistake in my notes. I’d moved the decimal place of one of the nutrients over by one and was mixing in 8gr/gallon instead of 0.8.
Ironically this put me close to the levels I was getting before I started using Hydro Buddy...
:lot-o-toke:

Ok I’ll upload those pics over there now then may go for a nap.
A songbird starts up at 5:30am every morn just outside my window so I’ve only been getting 3 hours sleep a night. :laughtwo:

Kinda odd that I was just bragging about how great my plants look with the new feed :laughtwo: I’m not normally a big flusher but I may flush the PC at least and give it a better meal.

I assume your TDS is around 700-750 which in the rock wool was low enough to never garner me a nute buildup so I never needed to flush. I still don't, but for other reasons as I now use yucca extract which is a natural wetting agent, plus all of the organic inputs ensure the roots pull out a lot more feed than if those inputs weren't in there. I remember years back King John C used to put a drop of dish soap in his res. I never understand why till now. IDK if dish soap would help or hurt, but I suggest looking into it.

After a couple weeks or so in the cloner with no roots I took them out of the cloner and dipped then stuck in Solo's in soil. Sure enough they took root.

I’ve been doing a version of this ever since I started having issues with the aerocloner- which was by the third or fourth time I used it.
When I’ve given up on a batch in the cloner I take any cuttings that still seem like they’re worth a shit and put them in the perlite cloning tray. I usually get a couple to root this way.

This latest aero-cloner bunch is going downhill slowly. The colour is off. There comes a point sometimes with cuttings where they start turning dark green and floppy as if they’re OD’ing on nitrogen. My vague theory is that some parts of the stems have rotted enough to actually turn into food for the plant. I don’t know. At any rate once this dark green coloration starts to happen there’s basically zero chance of getting roots, in my experience.

I left three in the cloner and put the rest into solo cups, with two each of coco, perlite, and sunshine mix, as an experiment.

Jarred up the Chocolope. I’ve been smoking mainly this lately. Along with some of my latest Golden Tiger, which is very Malawi-ish. The GT was just a little thing I grew for making seeds. It’s sooo speedy. Holy crap it’s speedy. The Chocolope is actually pretty damn speedy too....:surf:

IMO, it looks like you have too much leaf left on the plant. I try to make all of mine minimal in count (up to 4) and all trimmed back to the size of a small young leaf. I also use a high P nute in the water to 250-300 TDS. I try to take my cuts about 6 hours into the 18 hour day so there's plenty of daylight left to photosynthesize as the built and stored energy and carbs are sent down to the roots each night (so I've read), but because there's no roots, that enrgy is used to make them, a few each night. In rock wool cubes I can achieve the wet/dry cycling, though IDK how this can be mimicked in a cloner. I also aim for diffused light, usually by ensuring taller plants get most of the light, but if none are nearby, I'll blot out the light with a towel, at least for the first few days. IMO though, it's about small leaves and high P.

Cbocolicious indeed. So pretty. I gots a pretty one goin in my tent right now half way thru flower . a blueberry. But i am not even going to mention it or anyting at all about it for fear of jinxation.

Weas.. Friend. I need to ask your light decision. I am very much interested..

I just ordered my second ts1000 from china. Hurts me a bit to do it but it be done.

So.. Whadyaget..whadyaget

One more q friend. The plants in my tent . specoally the two hempies. Growing super but bottom leaves yellowing too early.

Would you suggest ph or nutes as the probable cause? Or neither?

I’ll re-read the last few posts and catch up later on. Been a little busy the last few days trying to scratch up some worms. Nivek I’ll pm you.

I’ll start another round in the aerocloner a lá Skybound and see how it goes. One thing for sure the Z7/Z9 stuff helps hugely. Roots aside, normally all these cuttings would have been reduced to slime by now. I may (or may not) still achieve 100% success in the perlite tray as most of them are trying to root now. It’s been a long time since that happened.

Sorry Nivek - been on the run. I would think nutrients before ph. I mean, obviously nutrient uptake is what gets affected by ph problems, so it’s a bit of a thorny question. But to me bottom leaves yellowing usually means nitrogen deficiency or overwatering. Overwatering is out of the question with hempy, right?
As with all else I might be just talking out my ass.

Yellowing leaves bottom working up can be magnesium...

When it looks a deficiency in one zone and not the other, it's a mobile nutrient deficiency.

Thanks :) I was thinking you should give this one a try sometime...
I was just thinking about that flowering time question. It will be 8 weeks tomorrow. I fed it a bit tonight but thinking to stop after now. I guess.
The bud on this plant doesn’t develop like the old PC did and I can’t quite read it yet. Seems like it has looked sorta the same way it does now for over a month. The buds constantly look the same but just grow bigger slowly? Or perhaps the bud inspector has been too stoned. :hmmmm:

And the way things go in my grow somehow I can’t seem to compute a plant that finishes in less than 10 weeks. I should probably try and get used to the concept. Would be nice.

Yeah, I have a couple in my garden now that look ready at 8 weeks. :hmmmm: I instinctively think there's something wrong. :laughtwo: My Deadly Sativa looks like your PC - did the same swelling thing for the past couple weeks - but it's 13 weeks old.

~ Strawberry Blue ~

I grew one of these a couple years ago. Giving the strain another try only because Potchimp grew one and gave it the thumbs up. It’s another one of these fluffy sticky sativa dominant types. Looks very similar to the Tutankhamen and OG Kush I grew.
For better or worse I would have let this one flower for another week, but it had its own sexy plans. Nanners and foxtails were starting to shoot out of it everywhere and I didn’t want to end up with a bunch of weird seeds. Last thing I need is a horny fox coming along and pollinating my plant.
