Wooo! You gonna keepem?

...look sativa

Sure why not? Probably just for decoration considering my climate, but I’ll thin the patch down to one or two and let them do their thing.
My best guess is they’re Ace Honduras, or a Honduras cross. I had a bunch of those in one of the last batches of hash I made.

Awesome man, three four leaf clovers..
Not to be a downer, lol. I imagine you'll have five months until darkness starts to creep back in, around start of October or is it later? plenty time to plant some early skunk and early queen seeds into ground. Plant start of may and should be getting a good harvest..

Ahh!!! Darkness?? Five months???
o_O
:(
Noooooooooooooo.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Five months is forever... when you’re just a little kid. Next winter will never come... bloody well better not -the last one near killed me.
I don’t have those particular strains but with any luck will acquire them soon.
:passitleft:

I’ll let them do their thing and if they survive a few more weeks I’ll maybe save the best one as an ornamental. The deer like to climb around on top of my compost bins so I would have to do a little more fencing.
I’ve been told that outdoor plants are still illegal in BC under the new laws because children might find the plant and smoke it and then something bad would happen to their brains. However, if I install razor wire and high voltage fencing around it that should keep those nasty hordes of children at bay and keep things legal I’m thinking. I don’t want to have to get armed guards and dogs if I can avoid it. Too intrusive.

Notes- I finally located, in a crevice on a high shelf, the Purple Envy freebie seeds I received and then immediately lost a couple years ago. So I’m starting a couple of those along with another kick at the Dinafem OGK can.
I know nothing about the Purple Envy except I saw @Duggan grew some last year and he raved about it at the time. I saw @dr.h00k mention it as well. That made me decide to sprout some- which is when I realized I couldn’t find the damn things anywhere and in fact hadn’t seen them since I opened the package. I got fixated on searching for them but had to quit after a few days. Somewhere in the back of my head of course the search never ended...

The OGK comes with so many great reviews that I feel I should give it another try before I go running off looking for new strains to buy. . I wasn’t super impressed with the last one I grew but that could definitely be grower issues.

As usual I do want to find some sort of kick ass strain to replace the P C. The endless quest continues...

Do I have to journey to Mount Doom and throw this Pineapple Chunk into it?
No doubt it will stick to my hands and we will fall in together....

And on the edge there will remain one seed...

I harvested my OGK x Thai last week and that turned out pretty nice in spite of myself, but due to having watched too many YouTube videos this month on the art of home music studio recording I am out of data and won’t be posting pics for a couple days at least. Kind of pathetic I know but hey at least it’s a new excuse.

Had something else to say but I forget what... :lot-o-toke:

gotta protect the children from weasel evils.. they should be shot upon entry, so they are protected from any harm they could do to themselves.. I like razor wire, especially in camouflage. Dogs are good but a 'shoot to kill' bullet would protect them best..

Penalties here for supplying cannabis to children are up to 14 years in jail, under the new laws- so realistically yeah murdering them could get you a lighter sentence than getting one stoned, heaven forbid.

Dinafem OGK gives me nightmares! The quality was perfect, but the yields were ass! My chops ranged from 14.5 all the way down to 6 measly MF ounces. Granted that time frame is when I switched from HID to COBs, then GH to Jack's 321, then immediately into experimenting how to improve the 321, but as I recall, every advancement was just that compared to what I was using prior. I kept one bean in reserves just in case I ever decide to try my luck at breeding, but that is highly unlikely.

Realistically at this point I can barely give dope away around here anymore. Other than rendering large amounts of trimmed and cured bud down into tiny amounts of hash, which is what I did to most of my stash this winter, the only thing I can come up with that’s in demand is the... ugh do I have to say it? the Pineapple Chunk.

So I don’t care about quantity so much. One ounce of something I can trade is worth a whole lot more than a pound of something I can’t clogging up my shelf.
My OGK looked large but was mostly a bunch of fluff. Quality was so-so. Maybe underlit a bit. I’m craving new lights having seen the Q-boards working so well for people.

Nobody wants it unless it’s P Chunk. It’s totally ridiculous! Meanwhile my new PCs are slowly moving along. Cloning rates have been the shits. I have a day at home tomorrow so I’m going to see what I can do- kick up a fuss and threaten the plants in the veg room a little.

I’m also really questioning my nutrients lately and intend to get the Hydro Buddy program that you use and try to figure out how to whip up something half decent from the bottles I’m stuck with at the moment.

Just learning that free app alone will double your value as a grower as you'll be able to intentionally target your elements which will greatly improve your grows.

I personally feel things have become stagnant again and am searching out new and exciting ways to fuck things up again. There's a lot of good 'far out there' reading in scienceinhydroponics blog archives. I just got done reading an article about how chelated "titanium" "may" increase yields. I was like, "yeah, I need that" and went looking and sure as shit, it doesn't exist, lol. Still, lots of great reading over there and aside from creating Hydro Buddy for free, Daniel Hernandez has blessed the hydro community immensely, despite no longer interacting with people on the interwebs. His legacy lives on in his archives though. It will be sad when his domain expires and all of those gems are lost into space. I'm half tempted to download each individually to preserve them.

...Yeah, I did a purple envy last year...although there was no purple to be seen...it was a vigorous grower with nice dense buds...but...like PC, the branching wasn't strong enuff' to give good support...pretty good smoke as I recall, hasn't been in the smoke drawer for a while tho'...anyways, a couple of pics of her...

Beautiful house, beautiful plant, beautiful view

Thanks h00k. That looks really nice. I sprouted the two Purple Envy seeds and planted them, but they were victims of yet another little visually- impaired accident yesterday.
I started two more- good to use up those extra seeds :laughtwo:

The cob of one of the two Golden Tiger x Thai Stick plants I harvested earlier in the winter. The smell of this one is super intense- almost eye watering- like some sort of very strong dank pipe tobacco you might find buried deep in the bowels of some ethnic shop. Colour is blackish.

This was made from the more Thai looking one. I got an idea to smoke a bunch of it early yesterday morning and it really threw me for a loop. It wasn’t what I was expecting at all- very stoney and my entire day got pretty much lost in the ensuing fog. I was surprised- not sure how that sort of strain ends up giving that sort of high. :hmmmm:

The OG x Thai plant I harvested a couple weeks back.

The lineage is an OG Kush of unknown source, which was crossed with Mama Thai x Thai Stick. The resulting cross was then crossed with the MTTS a second time around and this is the result. It definitely has some Thai aroma about it, but otherwise looks very much like the Dinafem OGK I grew before. This plant was quite neglected as all my plants have been this winter. It was in a far corner, meaning I could barely see it and gave it little love. Still it grew nice large fluffy buds and did well for itself. It even looks like the sort of plant I might dare to smoke :)

I pollinated part of it with a male Golden Tiger, with surgical precision, and got around a billion seeds.

One of the new P Chunks. This one looks and smells nothing like my regular PC. I can barely detect a scent from it so far. The PC I love to hate stinks strongly even in veg.

New PC on the left, old on the right.

~ I’m not sure what to try next with this cloning business.

This last round of cuttings taken two days ago- I used a fresh sterilized tray, new perlite from the bag, new razor from the box- wiped with alcohol between cuts, brand new jar of cloning gel, boiled rainwater with a couple drops of bleach. And - instant mould. And not even regular root rot/slime. Full on penicillin bread mould. On every single stem

I’ve been trying all winter to make clones, with something like a 5% success rate. It’s been enough to keep most of my strains running, but only barely.

I try the aeroponic cloner every now and then as well. Last round I got one (1) cutting to root out of the 20 or so I had in there. In the cloner reservoir I’ve tried -frequent res changes using boiled rainwater, peroxide, traces of bleach, and even Recharge directly in the res. No discernible differences. Temps vary but are generally around 20°c- I’ve tried colder/hotter and can’t seem to see much difference.

I’ve been giving my plants Recharge regularly in the hopes of quelling whatever sort of invisible, possibly imaginary, fungal type enemies are plaguing me.

Hydroguard isn’t available here anymore but I’m looking into something called Z9, which is made by Flying Skull - it’s a Canadian version of Z7- might be something more suited to being added directly to the water.

I haven’t PJ, or... not really. I have stuck unrooted and barely rooted cuttings in pots of my Sunshine mix before- with a little bit of success. The system with perlite has worked very well for me in the past.
I figure that my chances in perlite or coco are going to be generally higher as it’s more or less the same thing as cloning in soil, but- contains no nutrients which tend to interfere with rooting, is more sterile, and is fluffier and less conducive to... ummm mould and rot.
In the past I’ve had close to 100% success rates with cloning and didn’t have to try very hard. It almost seems as if it’s getting more and more impossible as the years go by. :hmmmm:

That makes me feel better- but only microscopically. Good luck figuring it out.
I think my best bet at this point is finding some Hydroguard type product.
Another option is possibly brewing teas for the cloner- though that seems like it wouldn’t necessarily be appropriate since teas generally contain a bunch of nutrient.

I recently rediscovered my floating thermometer so I should investigate the internal temps of my aero cloner more thoroughly and see if I’m missing something there. Beyond that- I’m out of ideas and can only keep doing the same things over and over again in different ways- hoping for new results.

That moldy stem was IMO way too thick for cloning. I choose mine from lower branches, or ends of branches I intend to remove later on anyways, but I always make sure I get them before they turn woody, but still rigid enough that it's not a wet noodle.

As to Aqua Shield/Hydro Guard, don't worry about them, they only had one active ingredient anyways ... Bacilus amyle.............., so find something else that has that colony. Also, I suggest you fully embrace beneficials wholly and completely and stop using bleach or H2O2. Using either will kill your bennies on site then you'll have dead bennies mixed with other dead microbes.

To make cloning solution, I mix a bloom booster to 250ppm and add in a little fulvic/humic acid from whatever product has it. This is The Capn's rooting recipe, and I'm still using it 5 years later. He used GH Flora Bloom and Flora Blend. I'm using MKP and Fulvic/humic blend. I can't remember about the GH mix, but using MKP and the blend conveniently gets my RO to 5.8. Use rockwool cubes if you can locate them. They hold plenty water and more air, both great for rooting. I believe letting the media dry out is most beneficial when cloning. I'm about 100% either way, though I feel when I neglect the feeding more, they root in less number of days. I average between 8-11 days and honestly maybe 1 in 20 damp off, and those wouldn't if I feed less often.

Just my input brother!
