Waywardwayne's Kiwi OG + Thin Mint Kiwi Get To Know Me Journal

I’m going for it, I can picture an oversized asparagus spear in my future.
That's basically how a SOG is grown, where every plant is trimmed to a single cola, so you're on a well-traveled road!
The smaller of the two was topped the day before I noticed it flowering. So it may just get pulled.
If you were growing in a tent with limited space and time to drop another seed maybe, but outside I would let it go and see what happens. There will still be a harvest when it's done!

You don’t have to twist my arm to get me to let the plant live. I guess I’ll see it through but I’m not going anything special with it, whatever it turn out it turns out. The asparagus will get all the work. I’ve always wanted to do a SOG with like three mothers for strain and load up like 6 or 8 clones each to flower.

I just don’t know. Got the notion to cut the failed kiwi at the Bolton node to let just that part flower. This is what I found. I could make a flute out of that stem.

She wasn’t really recovered great from the sunburn anyway and after she started flowering, let’s just say I didn’t feel too bad chopping her like this. I’m assuming it’s an auto because it randomly went into flower. So my expectations here on this unconventional graft are very low. The host is the stump from a gg4 I harvested 2 or 3 weeks ago. Ive kept it alive wondering if I could reveg it eventually. Now they are both doomed.

It all makes me think the *healthyish* other one is also not healthy at all.

I bought some northern lights photos and one just started flowering and didn't stop. She finished to be around a 10 inch ball of a plant and all bud. Got an oz. Happens.

Best case scenario is this thing is even alive in 3 weeks. If it buds I’ll harvest whatever it has.

Just a heads up before you get all crazy with the scissors...quite a few of my best plants started a little early in the flowers and then stretched. They're mighty beasts of buds. You've brought them this far why start over because they're not doing what YOUR expectations are? They're your plants, I just think you should see them through before judgement is initiated. They look great by the way. I love them woods too. Very nice.

In fact she is beginning to look promising, at least for the only bud site on offer. You were right, we will see what happens from here out. Thanks again.
