Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restrained

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

A temporary fix is to take a nice fat towel or towels and make a pillow for the lateral branches to rest and make it firm that way from the bottom up using the towel as the pillow. Don't force anything, just get the fabric under it to nest it and hold it still while it roars windy. Remove it when the wind stops later. I wouldn't use wood or anything that can harm the main stem.

without that wire-tie the 2 limbs will be will try to separate and the split would be down to the soil in this gale force wind.

can I leave here as shown?
Good, the light went off . You can pad the notches with anything you want to, if you like.

notched lumber is sidelined and replaced with this, you like? maybe the hemp wick instead os wire ties? I'm liking her like this, please try to talk me out of this a more creative idea.

thanks ol' festus:high-five:, did Ruthy tell u to help over here? she's getting to be a real darlin' to my :green_heart:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

Yeah, use anything handy to prop the plant up from beneath. I just like something soft so the stem doesn't chafe.

:thankyou: I put her where there's a little less wind,

where she is now the wind is only blowin' 30 mph, w gusts a mere 45

:peace:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

Thanx LA, please rephrase this please, it has me scratching my head, lol "branching point just up on each side "

appreciate your help Light Addict:green_heart:, should I removed the 2 pieces of lumber, that I custom fit to here stalk?

will the wire constrict nute flow, thru the stalk, as she grows? I know we enjoy plant torture but, choking seems detrimental to her growth & heakling? i'm not disagreeing, i'm just seeking the most possible information I can pry from your brilliant mind!:thumb:

Hey chap above the split an inch up each side you have a set of branches coming off. Using these nodes/branch points bind her across the gap to the opposed same node points.if you use a protective pad of some kind or your tubing. You wont get it cutting in.
Id use a small stick or rod to then twist the connecting bond like a garrott. Then once taught tuck on end against stem, cathing and holding all tension. Easy to losen by a twist every now and then!

Sorry on phone and going blind now lol.

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

Yeah, I'd leave the tie you placed where LA told you, but also additional hoisting from beneath to be sure. That wind can kick up and when you are not looking the ties can slip down and the whole thing can crack open. What you can do for future wind, being on the beach, is to build a screen out of anything and at Home Depot buy the thinnest shade cloth or fabric. You can buy it by the yard or foot or in packages and cut it to size. Use cheap 2x2 wood or 1x2 and attach the shade cloth on the sides. Use hooks and eyes to hold it all together or use cross bars on top and bottom. You can picture this, right? It sounds very complex, but for you in that spot where you often have wind, you may want to build a wind screen.

She just making compost for Miss Fluxy, have Slowgro get a shovel.

nice try, you n Ruthy are off the hook, dogs love that stuff, they've been sleeping for 17 hours though, was there anything in the compost? maybe some trimmings? never seen 'em sleep like this.

:smokin2:High Trichster
the tie down is great I think she will rev veg on,,,,an unless you put some kind of box over her she will carry on until the solstice easy:MoreNutes:she will be a monster :goodjob:you will need chains instead of string :circle-of-love::peace::circle-of-love:

thank you always have an encouraging share jaga :passitleft: i like the idea of another monster!!

16/8 for me, saves on the leccy bill with no noticeable effects.

Who was saying yesterday "Your plants grow fast BB" ?

Then with only a 4 hour adjustment to 12/12, I almost guarantee

They'll be flowering within 7 days.

thanks BB, I'm hoping mine flower in more like, 100 days :high-five:

Liking the staked down ring of torture! :) Just think though how much Bud each limb can support with its want to spring back up! Big ass buds coming your way! :)

Big Ass Buds, yeah buddy, that's what this is all about :thumb: glad u approve of the FLUX-RING contraption:cheertwo:

Re: Watch This Flux - 1st 420 Outdoor Fluxing - Presents Fluxy Lady - Fully Restraine

I may be stubborn :) yet simply bind her up with wire. Use the branching point just up on each side of that pic. This will take total pressure off split.

thnx again LA, she's gonna be just fine, appreciate your help:high-five:

The little Darkstar me & Ruth are workin on? Yeah, we're going to call her "Miss Kitty" and maybe we are going to try to pollinate a stem & make a 420 cross. Slogrow came up with the idea and we are going to call the cross "Gunsmoke".

I like your pollination project idea, that will be a great girl to watch, I've never tried it, have you?

I just had 50 Purp's fall out of no where. They are all regulars & ready to rock. Have 5 going now, looking for a good male & then Miss Kitty is going to get a lil pregnant.

Am Subbed to Cannafan's journal. She did a step by step process & explained it very well. There are jut some members here that are natural instructors and come across very humble & genuine. She made a mistake or 2, but documented that also, so it's true hands on learning experience. Not out of a book.

PRESENTING a new FluxFace! Split or Despy? in full restraint

Introducing a new girl to add a little more something for all the great visitors that come here.

PRESENTING a new FluxFace! name pending, suggestions? or Split? or Despy?

This is plant that was on the the sidelines, behind the scenes, she's a "back-up" and very upset

'cause she has never been shown in public. To show us all how serious she is about getting some 420 love,

she tried to kill herself. Her desperate attempt to get attention has worked,

there will be no suicides with sad endings in my yard.

i think we should call her Split or Despy (whatta ya tink?) which one? :thankyou:

she's from a fem-seed (non auto) her strain is a banned strain name Green C**ck

She's flowering because she was outside a bit early in the season grown outside since birth,

there's a good chance that she'll revert to veg, but I'm thinking she will continue flowering, time will tell.

here she is today, in full restraint.

Yep, although I was talking about supporting it from below the principle is still the same. Based on GF's concerns with putting pressure into the trunk thus cutting off the supply route this IS way more effective.
