Well HELL, I can scarcely believe my own eyes!!! This new shelf arrangement is working exactly as I pictured it!!! Once the paracords finish stretching. All's tigh and right.

Along with my customized shortened hanger wires should give me an extra 18/20 inches plus having each light independently adjustable.

I forgot how much work building a room really is. I haven't seen me sweat this hard since last summer building a front yard flower garden. This closet project has costed me: blood, sweat and tears!

The $cost$ of the setup hasn't risen since last taxe rebates were received mid February.

Next. Re-hang the lights rewire my electrical power strips and auxiliary switches... reset all the fans and ait pumps. Blah Blah Blahhh...

The light level was here...

More to come as the night wears on because once I get started, I let it flow till its done.

Screw me okay!! After all is up in the air, my shelf is higher, the damn adjustable hanger hardware to the lights barely offers 4 more inches. Back to the drawing board or else (ta-dum) and maybe holes in the ceiling,, the landlord won't like it, so He'll just need to fix the holes after I die (along with a slew of cat scratched moldings). LOL...

Disappointed with myself; I am! Do Better; I Will! I Just Need To Use THE FORCE to Levitate the damn lights! Early visit to the hardware looming and to carry my step ladder to reach high enough.

I wasted 6 hours and $10 however tonight it'll be done on schedule.

I bought 2 ceiling plant hooks with a 9/16 hole (too big for toothpaste) so they'll just remain there permanently.

I should've used these from the git-go. They should be pretty inconspicuous later on.

I can just count my hanging shelf as a failure. Failures are inevitable in the world of garage drawer engineering.

Well the lighting hooks are mounted on the ceiling. No way am I gonna struggle with plant height in relation to light height again unless I get a 9 foot plant!!!

Right about at 7 feet limit.

Sorry been chopping away st this rebuild. And my cats are demanding their evening time brushing.

Why are all my first prototype DIY projects over looking the obvious easy solutions? :hookah: Hmmm!

The first stage of the rebuild is done:
Lights are hung from the ceiling with standard hardware (including my modified shortened wire hangers for another2 inches):

The primary power strips (10 footer) is connected at the wall via a wireless on/off switch; then set as main junction for all appliances in the grow room. Then several more strips to spread out power access to all 3 walls. I've calculated i can set two 5.5 inch shelves for air pumps, clip on fans etc. one at each end without interfering with the lights.

Everything is falling into place with stuff laying at my feet.

By midnight I should be nearing their new homecoming.

WTF, I'm starting to sound like a crazy old cat lady with her freekin Rose Bush and tomatoes!

I just live for the days when every Skid Row closet in the free world will contain at least one cannabis plant.

With ME; it's never a try without a trial!

Just as I'm hip deep into getting the electrical done and just as I'm swinging a damn hammer :#!%$@× lights go out and i smashed my power strip! Cant see if it's toast until the power comes back....

Rough storms hitting the D right now. The worst part of storm outages on my block is= = only my side of the frikin block goes dark.

If my camping lantern has enough gas, I'll get back to the hobnob of a JOB.

Sweat the night away. If it gets too harsh, I can always use the AC and radio in the truck.

I hope your power is restored quickly. I went through it Saturday and Sunday.

I had to sleep in my truck with the AIR CONDITIONING!!! My home has no ac and I can get by with fans blowing.

Power finally came back on at 1:30pm so went right back to work! My ETA is now 6pm. Making the plants about 40 hours without lamplight.

But none the less, with my handicaps, I can only go for 30/40 minutes between rest stops.

After all is done, the only notable change is the lights meeting up with maximum ceiling height. The only other change is power strip locations and having one 6 inch shelf at each end for accessories rather than one 12 inch shelf at the middle.

Now the growroom can get by with fewer buckets stair-stepping the plants up to

Otay Panky. Im back to work...

UNFRIKIN UNBELIEVABLE!!! POWER BACK ON AT 2:30pm AND OFF AGAIN AT 4pm. Im done mounting the power strips so now I can get all the lights and appliances connected up while I still have a little gloomy daylight in the windows.

DTE Energy power company power grid is long overdue for an upgrad.

It's a huge inconvenience for sure. DTE probably turned off your power because there was another break down the line. It's better that it happened now, rather than in the dead of winter.

Eighty percent or about 400,000 service addresses in Nova Scotia lost power last Saturday. I got mine back just after noon on Sunday. My daughter is still waiting. Her power will be back Friday at the earliest. It took two and a half weeks after Juan, the last hurricane to hit here, to get her power back. It will be another two to three weeks before the last folks (22,628 service addresses) are reconnected, if it's safe to do so. There are hundreds that will need to hire electricians to fix the service entrances to their homes after that.

My daughter and son in law put in heat pumps for their home this summer. They were going to remove their hot water baseboard system. I advised against it. You can run a hot water baseboard system on a small generator. Their heat pumps can take up to 30Kw, so they kept the hot water baseboard system as backup for the next winter power failure.

FYI, the next contender to take out power on the east coast of either the US or Canada is forming in the Bahamas right now. I'm hoping it goes out to sea or hits the US, rather than us here in Nova Scotia. We need time to replace the patched transmission and distribution lines before the next storm hits.

TIME.... 8:30 pm on thr on the nose. ALL IS BACK TOGETHER and the plants are back home. Im gonna let the lights run all through the night and tomorrow.

48 hours to do a 6 hour JOB.

A bit of tweaking and Got-Er-Done.....

I am feeling the past 2 days catching up to me.

If ever I need a pain pill, it'll be tonight!

After a WELL EARNED BREAK, After putting my tools away and cleaning up;

I AM DONE TILL TOMORROW!!
