Given my choice I don't flower in anything less than 5 gallon pots.Looking great Bill!! did you go with the 2gallon air pots? I have 3gallon at the moment but thinking to go smaller and have more plants next time.. depending on how my watering goes on my next run in the 3gallon.

As I'm still building the VIVOHUT as I'm growing I've managed to outgrow the pots before I got everyone settled.
So some are in 1.5 gal.
When I'm settled properly I'll work it out better.
But 3 gal air pots should be ok.
If they are too small they drain too quickly, it's a pain.

When it comes to Betty, I can't help myself. BTW I love the "iron works" you have in place to mount fans on. Did you need plumbing like that for the underfloor?
When you have a chance do you think you could give me a short description of the ""Shed"" again? Size, rooms sizes, heating, equip used... or point me there if it already exists?
I need to have a detailed mental picture of what's going on over there, because this stuff is elite, mate, E---- Leeeeeeeeet! Haha.
I tried 3-gallon soft pots once and, my god, did I have to water a lot. I already have to water my veg (etc) for 2 hours a day during outdoor season, so I think I'd need an automated system to manage those wee airpots. Is it a morning and night watering schedule, or are you into watering even more than that? Actually, myself, this season, I have a plan that I hope will reduce my daily watering by a full hour while attempting to double my output (yes, with more SIPS). Here's hoping...

I really hope it fulfills your hopes and expectations, and I'm grateful that these top-notch companies have recognized your abilities. esp. when using ascorbic acid (vit C), as opposed to potassium metabisulphate, overdoing it will drop your pH, so avoid the "more is better" temptation and you'll be golden.
5 gallon is big! But I am going Coco hydro so 3gal will probably be perfect for meGiven my choice I don't flower in anything less than 5 gallon pots.

Good Morning Res.
I went to move a 5 gal bag and it slipped.
I yanked the root ball right out.
Bag hit the floor and coco was everywhere.
Oh no I killed Apple Betty I thought.
Well it's had a 12" growth spurt since it happened.
None of the others have this stretch in veg.
Might be a new training technique.
I didn't want cheap wire racks to mount stuff to.
So I gathered up the 1" steel fittings and used them.
I have it bolted to the ceiling aswell for the lights.
The floor is radiant electric heat, not water.
I'll post a few pics and explain what is what.
2x6 pt with Roxul insulation and vapor barrier underneath and double foil barrier above.
Aspenite and Styrofoam SM and 2 layers of Tyvek on the exterior.
Ice and water shield on the roof covered with a layer of steel.
Inside is double foil vapor barrier sealed completely then drywall.
The floor has cables for heating along with 6" of concrete and tile for a thermal mass.
Immediately on the right is the 4x4 veg room.
Then the 5x5 flower room.
Leaving approximately 10 x 5 for a work shop
I ran #8 tech cable to a 60 amp breaker in the panel.
I have an 8 circuit sub panel in there with lights and plugs.
I can put in a heat pump if I need AC. Lots of power.
Then GrowHub and @VIVOSUN equipment.
I find anything other than 5's needs watered constantly.
These 1.5' could use 2x a day but still in veg so I just soak the heck out of them once a day.
Full strength Plagron with a bit of kelp and food for the microbes.
I'll have to do double that soon.
But talk about simple to use. Same amount of each in the jug then set ph, done.
I've got a 100 more pics I'll keep posting as we progress.
Anything in particular you need a better breakdown of?

Wire is #14 BX all surface mounted so it's visible accessible and movable.
Light provides more than enough heat.
Floor stays warm holds heat but isn't drawing power.
I need to install an air exchanger.
I built it air tight, too tight. Hehe

It's been a busy winter shovelling snow doing firewood building the Hut and now a puppy.
