Hand looks okay, injury looks straight forward, sling might be a bit of overkill lolling!

Two things, have you had a tetanus shot, and while it looks clean I would recommend a second daily dressing. Watch for ooze or any redness that is tracking. I’ve seen small wounds become big problems.

Hopefully it’s not your dominant hand.

Any concerns give me a yell.

Sling stops me using it.
I swing it around like a bat, grabbing things I shouldn't.
So it keeps me from making it worse.
Besides the pain goes from my elbow to my finger tips.
I cut something in there.

I know what you you were feeling, I had a redhot mig welding wire go into my palm @ work. It cauterized it instantly so it didn’t bleed and I pulled it out with my needle nose pliers. CL

I did stupid last week also Slipped off the ladder,4th step up. Hit the ground standing,4 coils of nails flying Nail gun did a pendulum into the side of my leg.
Dam near bowled me over
Caught the ladder on the inside of my left leg, gun on the outside
. Just glad I didn't hit the knee

I had to shingle the roof on one leg, myself

Joe ladders are dangerous AF.

I hate ladders, not afraid just don't trust my self.
Took a couple headers but nothing fateful.
It's dangerous enough without adding 8n the nails and gun.

I'm always bruising or cutting something.

I fell trying to get in the back door of the house.
Probably screaming like a little girl, blood spraying absolutely everywhere.
I'm holding the meat trying not to drop it.
Burst threw the door and scared the daylights out of Stacey.
Who is screaming for an ambulance for some reason.
It's been a tough couple days.
I admit that feken hurt.
I've broken and bruised everything, pain is part of my life I just ignore and keep smiling.
This hurts like a M.F.
Hit nerves and tendons.

Pretty dangerous tools they make for metal work. Grinders were the worst, I was always getting in my eyes or getting flashed from every direction of the shop. Those things you didn’t even notice hardly just got back to work like nothing happened usually. I have a green spot on one eye from the eye doctor scraping a piece of molten metal from a grinder that was imbedded in my eye . Went back to work looking like a Pirate with a white eye patch. Lmao CL

People were tougher in the old days, when I was about 12 I had a run in with a jointer planer. long story short I can scratch my leg on my hand.
Next day I went to school because I didn't want to miss a test

Parents weren't home.
They never knew.
I'd be down at the Humber River fishing or at Exhibition Stadium watching the Blue Jay's.
The school never called home back then.
Bleacher seats for the Jay's those days were $4.50.
Couple hrs on the TTC I could be downtown Toronto, 11 years old.
Couldn't imagine that today.
It was a touch safer in the 70's.
I was going to ask what you were doing with a planer at that age.
But dumb question NVM.

I had a natural gas hwt blow up in my face.
The gas not hot water.
Burnt my eye balls and my hair.
I'd gladly taken an eye patch waiting for my eyebrows to grow back in.

The river is our swimming pool without maintenance.
I dropped a 5 gal pail full of concrete in the center.
Eye hook with a rope & tube and we chillen.
The neighbors all go floating by with coolers and fancy tubes.
I got fed up parking down river.
It's a great way to cool off when the greenhouse hits 105.

10” angle grinder kicked off a concrete floor right through my jeans.

Refused going to hospital. My ex wife threatened to call an ambulance (bumps the price massively) told her nope. The. i woke up and found the staff carrying me to the car because I’d passed out. That was deep but really well patched. My Mum and & Co have scars in that same place across the inner thigh just above the knee. Theirs are both from barbed wire when kids.

I’ve never broken a bone though not even a finger (toes for sure but we all do)
