Hey TraLa!
You are always welcome to peek over my shoulder, wouldn’t have it any other way!
Well nobody wanted to freak you out about pests plus you just setup shop so a new environment doesn’t have critters. Pest control is part of growing. Checking canopy looking for the flyers, the crawlers in soil,, and the tiny ones on the leaves is how you determine what’s invading your garden. Fungus gnat & root aphid larvae feed on roots too. Lots of people have infected their own garden by bringing home clones gifted from a friend.... or from yard work etc and bringing critters back. Yeah baby - it’s Venereal Disease time all over
It’s just a 2 lens jewelers loupe or some are tiny 30 / 60 X handheld microscopes, search online or grow shop $15 - $20 bucks here. Then you can actually see mites or eggs on your leaves. Without the scope you will never see what’s really happening amd same scope can be used to check color & size of trichomes to know when to harvest.
When I find my scope I’ll shoot a pic but tiny rectangle black box about the size of pack of chewing gum. It’s got battery & adjustable eye piece stem, focus dial and a reflector mirror. Some are more hi tech and connect to laptop via usb cable
