Those buds don't look half bad.

Fuckin' stay tuned,eh!?I've seen much worse. I'm surprised there's no tutorial thread on it!
Wow VG, thanks for the detailed response, you covered all my bases!!So far, yes. It's been going too well..
I kinda expected this.
Could be. I often ask myself the same question. There is a theory that you wouldn't know if you're insane. I'm in the constant internal battle...so....50/50 chance.
The cola on the Peppermint Kush that had damage is right next to the Blueberry cola that has damage. While I'm not 100% that light burn is what's going on, it seems like the case.
I was due to leach the soil since I'm in Pro Mix with MC. It does build up after awhile. I can also add a little Terpinator. It won't hurt and could only help at the correct dosage.
If it's a def it's P or K def, there is usually a yellow surrounding the damaged section. This also makes me think light burn.
I'm super anal about my plants. One of my many downfalls.
I'd like to have a few harvests without anything major happening but maybe that's asking too much. We use high light and strong nutes. Lots of issues can pop up.
Sometimes I feel like I haven't grown much as a cultivator. Other times I feel like I'm doing ok..
I told him I would try to sprout one asap. I am starting some autos this week. I'm gonna try to fit one in.I am!
From the same crazy VW owner
It's going to be one of my outdoor ladies this year...
I should probably get going on that pretty soon...
That's me.Sounds like you're one of those who always expects the other shoe to fall when your grow is going really well.
I'm not 100% sure that I'm right. I'm going by observation and my gut feeling.Ah. I couldn't see that in the picture. That's different. If you're seeing pistil burn/damage on your colas and not the other buds, I would say that's a clear sign of light burn. Easy enough to fix. I learned the hard way about how long you can get away with it before the plant is trashed. Lol.
It can be too stressful to care though.Me too, but I respectfully disagree. This is anything but a downfall. This is why your plants look so amazing.
Seems so....Damn. We just may have a thing or two in common VG.
Ha! I'm pretty sure I've heard him use that word "a time or two"...I had to apologize for being a potty mouth.
My favorite word starts with F.
Personally, I have found observation and gut feeling will often trump many other methods of assessment.I told him I would try to sprout one asap. I am starting some autos this week. I'm gonna try to fit one in.
Had a nice chat on the phone with him. Seems like a real nice fella.

We'll find out soon enough.
I have other steps I'll take if this isn't the case.
I was able to drop the plants down about 4". This should help.
It can be too stressful to care though.
I'm trying to find a balance between being a serious grower and still having fun.
Seems so....
Who knows? The way I've been dragging my ass, I'm may start mine later than planned. I think we'll be close.Ha! I'm pretty sure I've heard him use that word "a time or two"...
I was going to wait till April to start the outdoor autos, but it's been almost 80 here for a week now..if that keeps up, I may have to start them a little early ...
So far so good. They don't look worse today. Yay!Personally, I have found observation and gut feeling will often trump many other methods of assessment.
Yes, being super anal and on the edge of OCD about certain things (like growing) has it's share of pitfalls. On the other hand, if I didn't approach my bass learning/playing on that level, I wouldn't be half the player I am. It's a yin/yang thing I think.
Heh.
I agree 100%. On basically everything you said. Hey, would you happen to have any strains in the bank that you know sort of mute that OCD "gene" or "need" or whatever you wanna call it? I'd love to find some weed that specifically makes me feel less like those three damn initials. I'm even OCD about these dumb posts. I go back, reread what I wrote, edit anything I missed, etc. Ugh.Who knows? The way I've been dragging my ass, I'm may start mine later than planned. I think we'll be close.
Glad to hear that he swears too. I find it hard to fully trust those who don't let a little slang slip out every once in a while.
Maybe trust is the wrong word. I feel more comfortable in the presence of those who swear like sailors.
My peeps...
So far so good. They don't look worse today. Yay!
Observation is one of the best tools we have. I guess I don't know if I'm "trusting my gut". Perhaps I'm just aware of the limitations of my grow spaces and know what to look for early on if something goes awry. In my grows it tends to be temp related or I'm overfeeding. In this case my guess was it was adding a new light. I haven't been overfeeding and my temps have been really good. The plants are drinking a lot.
Could be a few other things at play. I noticed that my fan was probably giving them a little wind burn too. That has been remedied since.
Yes, ocd can be a positive. It can also be exhausting.
For CBD strains I have Charlotte's Web and ACDC. For THC strains ,I have GSC and Northern Lights.I agree 100%. On basically everything you said. Lol. Thank you. They look luscious and I like them.
Wait what? You have no Candida? Outrageous. For CBD strains I have Charlotte's Web and ACDC.
I don't...Wait what? You have no Candida? Outrageous.
Gorgeous. What's a girl to do? Go COCO! You'll spend more in nutes and time, but the yield and growth will more than make up for it!!!Hey y'all.
So far, so good. I didn't notice any new damage on the Peppermint Kush and Blueberry plants.
Here they are at day #108 since sprout and day #30 since flip.
They look like they could use just a touch of cal-mag. I promise that I won't be heavy-handed if I decide to go that way.
They are currently on 5.2 gr/gal of MC.
I managed to find a bale of Pro Mix the other day. I'm going to grab some potting soil the next time I go. I may try the MGOS that @MrSauga uses. I think that's readily available around here.
I need some other options for when I can't find PMix. There is hempy or hydro but it uses so much more water and therefore more expensive.
One is unsustainable and the other more costly.
What's a girl to do?
