Virgin Ground And The Little Star Asterion

Send up a flare if you have a hankering.
Thanks darlin'.
I appreciate the offer.
Gorgeous. What's a girl to do? Go COCO! You'll spend more in nutes and time, but the yield and growth will more than make up for it!!!

Lol!!!
With Coco it's the same issue. More water is more $$$. More manual labor for me and my crappy spine.
I don't want to water daily and chase pH. I can do that in perlite hempy and water less.
I have space/height issues as well. It's easier to control plant height in a mineralized or peat based soil mix since the growth is much slower.

I grow for quality over quantity. At least that's what I'm attempting to do.
It's better than the black market stuff around here for sure.

Cool. Yeah, while it's only slightly harder than beating dispensary weed, I manage to beat most all of the black market weed I see down here, least what my buddies bring around for comparison. They'll come over and say "check this exotic out I got from my boy, only $50/eighth!" Can you imagine? I then show them some reasonably close to REAL weed and tell them I'll GIVE them a couple grams just so they have some of the real deal. A day later my phone rings. lmao.

You know how Florida is where criminals go when they get out of jail to relocate and do whatever? And as a result we have the highest percentage of former felons in the nation? You ever notice how many stories on Dateline and Forensic Files take place in this state? Lmao.

I suggest that in the exact same way this is also the graveyard for everyone who doesn't really know how to grow weed. The dispensaries are pathetic, I dusted them on my first grow. The black market is minimal from what I can see, and what there is is.....meh. I did get an amazing bag of London Pound Cake one time - a relatively rare strain that is way interesting. But that's the only one that sticks out in memory.

Criminals and crappy weed growers. Tell me again what the upside to this state is? If I didn't fish I would be a crazier person than I already am.

For CBD strains I have Charlotte's Web and ACDC. For THC strains ,I have GSC and Northern Lights.
I'm growing ACDC and Northern Light as well. How did you get your hands on the Charlotte's Web? I thought that was an extracts only strain, kept tight by the Colorado Brothers who developed it. :hmmmm:

Here ya go:
Charlotte's Web is one of the most famous CBD strains with a relatively large history. Not only in the USA, but also in Canada, Australia, South Africa, the UK and many parts of Europe.

The strain was developed by the Stanley Brothers from Colorado with the goal to create a strain with the highest possible CBD content which worked out very well. The analysis and lab results are amazing. Charlotte's Web genetics features a very low THC percentage while the CBD level is around 19%. This makes Charlotte's Web suitable for basically all purposes. Curious?

Not available any more though. :(

I'm happy turning the lights down stopped the spotting and I really think you grow lovely plants despite what your OCD is telling you. I hope my Blueberries are as lovely as yours are.

That's why nobody besides my kids know that I'm growing. I don't want people coming here or calling for weed. To each their own on that one.

I'll get to try some dispensary weed soon. There is a dispensary opening in my town finally!! I'm going in to get my medical card soon.
I'll get to see how mine stacks up. Hopefully I won't be sorely disappointed.

I've heard stories about.....Florida man. He's always in the news. The wackier the story, the greater chance it originated in Florida.

I enjoy fishing as well. I like to go culvert/stream/ditch fishing with my kids. We have a contest to see who can catch the smallest fish on a barbless hook. It takes patience and skill...and quiet.
Maggots and larva are disgusting bait but the baby pan fish sure love em.

Glad Shed was around to help you in my absence.
I haven't grown Northern Lights yet and I dare not speak of my ACDC attempt...

What the!?!? Ugh. You think it's for the same reason the Varin is discontinued?

Highya HG.
I'm nervous about them right now. I missed watering them last night. I have a nasty cold and went to bed early. I didn't think they were that dry. Unfortunately the temps have been warm and they have been drinking a lot. I opened the tent to two rather droopy gals this morning. After I berated myself, I hydrated them for an hour with regular water and then went back and fed them. Hopefully that was long enough so they won't incur too much leaf damage.
I'll find out in a few days.

Gotta get my shit together.

Miss you!
I'm right here!!!

That's interesting to me that you enjoy fishing. I kinda assumed someone who keeps fish as pets wouldn't want to hunt them. :hmmmm:

This ↑, unfortunately, is often my case. For me, though, I always think they look like they'll be fine for another day and then I'm faced with the droop. I promised Clementine photos in my journal yesterday but she was really droopy and I didn't want to post them.

I'm trying to streamline my grows so that I don't have so many in flower at the same time. I currently have 8 in flower and would prefer half of that.

Sorry to hear you're sick. You're having bad luck with your health so far this year. I hope this cold is the last of it for awhile.

I come from the land of 10,000 lakes. Fishing was introduced when I was very young.
A lot of the anglers that I know keep fish. A good number of the aquarists that I know are fishermen.
The anglers around here are paying for conservation efforts with the money they pay for angling licences. They are also some of the first people that report on issues concerning lake, pond and river health.
Of course there are always a few bad apples that poach and litter.
I catch ,photograph and release. I pay my fees and I also pick up any litter I see.
Fish could have worse friends than folks like me.

I was a mod at an aquarium forum before I came here. I love fish. Their beauty, their variety and unfortunately for some...their flavor.
I just can't pass up a good Mahi Mahi.
I'm not gonna feel bad. My goldfish had eaten more seafood than I have.

I usually try to water my flowering girls when they are about halfway dry.
Being sick, I just spaced it out. Thought that I watered more recently than I apparently did.
I did incur a bit of damage to the plants. Mostly yellowing lowers.
Not a big deal. I keep my lower leaves around for such an occurrence.
I'm trying to streamline my grows so that I don't have so many in flower at the same time. I currently have 8 in flower and would prefer half of that.
Holy smokes. Eight plants is a lot for two people.
Not gonna lie though. If I had the room you do, if probably be right where you're at. It could even be worse.

I'm finally feeling better.
I'm still a little tired and the brain fog is hanging on from before.

I'm going to try to get outside today. The vitamin D from the sun will really help. Seasonal affective disorder sucks.
Our snow has all melted and I can start tidying up my flower beds now.
I have a pile of root balls I need to break down. I toss them outside all winter so I can recycle them for my veggies in the spring. I'll use them for my tomatoes and peppers this year. Since I grow in large pots I need to start new ones every year. I can't grow the peppers and toms in the same pots as last year or I'll get boytris and other issues. I still need to rotate my crops.
Their old soil will be used for cukes, herbs and flowers.
I should grab some compost at the garden center today so I can top dress my pots. That will give a few months to let it settle in before I plant.
We put our toms and peppers out mid to late May here.

It was too early for sure. :(

Morning! :ciao:
I was worried you were hacked.

The girls...

I had to go in this morning to remove some of the smaller, innermost growth. I saw a speck of mold.
I didn't realize how bushy that Blueberry really was. 80% of this is from her alone.

Hopefully I cleared it out enough to give her some good airflow.

Would I say  if I was hacked?

Nice cleanup on aisle 3!
Maybe....but you'd also try to interest me in you pyramid scheme and show off your Beamer.

Poor Mr.Wise....

Two people? Who's the second? I also have 8 plants in veg but veg is so much easier.

My licence is for 25 but there's no way I could have that many growing at once. It would be a full time job.

I'm happy you're feeling better. The brain fog may linger for awhile longer. I've heard that people who had Covid now often have long Covid.

I wish I had your ambition. I like growing tomatoes and herbs in the summer and since 2004, when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid autoimmune disease, I'm been growing them in pots but Felonious wanted to try them in a garden last year but no one tended the garden so that didn't pan out. I had told Felonious that if we had a garden, he would be doing all the work but he's not a gardener.

Sorry. I thought your hubby used CBD.

I had to cut back drastically this year. I can only do herb,a few veggies and a couple of kinds of flowers.
We have too much work to do on our house this summer to worry about a lot of plants.
