Virgin Ground And The Little Star Asterion

FYI, when you are capturing pictures in the Galley you can change the text from the picture image.jpg to anything you want like the strain name to help us looking in identifying the strain. Some folks even give their plants names.

I just put the date in. I have no idea what they are other than an indica cross, maybe.

The only one I named is called Dooneese. She had her seed shell on too long. This made her first set of leaves small and deformed. You can't tell which one she is now.

The name Dooneese is from a Lawrence Welk skit from SNL starring Kristin Wiig. I have a horrible sense of humor. Sorry if anyone finds it offensive. If you like crude humor I suggest you check it out. The name will make sense. Stoner rant over...lol.

Gonna water them tomorrow. Gonna give them a little less nutes than the last feeding. They are drinking fast now. Growing about an inch a day. Man, I really need my tent soon. Ugh!

I am going soil shopping tomorrow. And getting 3 gallon pots or sacks. Will these suffice for 8+ weeks in flower? I want to keep as many plants as possible.

I am trying to find some supplemental lighting. The growant should cover 2/3 of the tent. I may hang my little 45 watt panel in there. Hopefully my car will sell soon. Then I can get another light.

How many of these can I realistically fit in a 2x4? They all look so nice, gonna hate to cull them.:(

Got my coir today. Fleet farm was out of ocean forest. Gotta wait a few more days to transplant I guess. Also haven't found bags or pots yet.

3 gallon or 5 gallon? What do you guys suggest?

I bought some fabric grocery bags. They should work. They seem sturdy. They are red , so that should brighten up the place a bit.

My tent is now in my state. It could be here as early as tomorrow. I hope it is. I don't want to be stuck around the house this weekend.

Just waiting for the ocean forest to get in. Should be just a few days. My vent package should be here by the 4th. I am so excited!!!!!:yahoo: I still have a lot of work to do. The closet I am putting the tent in is full to the brim with junk. I also have to remove the hanging bar and move the shelf. I wish my back was cooperating though.

Perhaps @GROWant is around. This is not a sponsored grow. However, it was rude of me not to invite our sponsor sooner. I am really loving the light!

@Chris Scorpio , how far away were you keeping the Gr240 during flower? 18" ? Thanks. Sorry I had to " summon" you. I do appreciate it though.
I had it as close as 10" when I ran out of height

12-18 should be good, just watch for praying, buckling or droopy leaves

Hi VG, thanks for invitation, George is here.
I think I missed the fantastic beginning of the thread, but isn't too late to be here.
Just can't believe how nice your girls are, for a first time grower.:thumb:

It is the GR240. It is doing fantastic so far. My closet is 3x3. I bet two would be great in a 2x4 tent. I have grown plants under led before I must admit. I have an aquarium with lots of live plants. It is a constant balancing act between fertilizers, light intensity and water parameters. This has given me a small leg up. I am familiar with kh,gh,ph and tds of water. I am also familiar with par ,pur, lumens and etc of leds. It seems to have served me so far. I hope to one day combine my fish keeping with my growing. Aquaponics has always interested me.
Hello Miss VG, for a 3x3' or 2x4' tent advice 2xGR240, two lights will help better and even coverage.

also very interesting in your aquarium, kh,gh,ph and tds, seems it is a reef tank?
I would happy to share our company tank which we kept over years with our LED lights.
This is one of coral grow from one stick, but it is really hard job to control the water parameters, Ca, Mg, KH, NO3, PO4 ...
we have a room full of chemical things and dosing equip...

Thanks @GROWant , I think they are doing well, for a first time grower.

i plan on getting another GR240. It may have to wait a few weeks though. I need to sell my car first.

That is a lovely coral. My tanks are all freshwater planted aquariums. Have you ever heard of Takashi Amano (RIP)? Many of my tanks are inspired by his nature aquariums.

For those people who like a bit of nature while medicated, I suggest you check out his giant aquarium in portugal. Simply breath taking. I watch this stuff when I am having trouble getting to sleep. This can be found on youtube.

yeap, Takashi Amano, boss of ADA, very famous in ADA soil. I knew him many years ago, was fan of this boss.
His tank always takes breath, especial this giant tank.

Very much! just see lot of money in the water :D:D
It would be interesting to see an itemized statement. Can't imagine how expensive it was and is to maintain.
