Virgin Ground And The Little Star Asterion

For fans and filter, I went through the mind numbing research. I came up with a Critical Thinking filter and Active Air fan with a speed control 6".

It was a balance between noise, price and performance. Yeah I'm a little ocd that way.

" awe fishiesis is cute " by raw I take it still in the bowl all appendages working....:high-five:
cheers for the welcome I bought me own beanbag and the cheesy wotsits are coming and this is my newest........:passitleft: granny's balls.......it's the balls so let's get comfy. Hope ya don't mind I'm gonna holler for @Preston9mm, and he's not a toothless ( 1 tooth ) mechican, he actually a Texan and he's got a portable bbchew....... and I'm done.........:rollit:

I see some real nice fans on Amazon for $60 or less, 6"
Apollo, i power, vivosun, all with 4star plus reviews

In my big tent I have a 6"x24" filter, but my small tent is 6"x12" and it works fantastic

Don't over think it hun, get a good name brand fan, inexpensive filter, and rock and roll

Active air, Vivosun and Growneer are the three i am looking at now.

I am at home a lot and have gone nose blind. I went out all day yesterday and when I came back.....whew...need carbon now!

So, what do y'all do with your males? A friend told me I should hash them. Is it worth it?
I have one male so far. I tag any plants I am not sure of with blue tape. I check them daily,up close and personal.
I desperately need to get my stuff together. These plants need to be sexed and transplanted soon. The bottoms of their planters are clear, so I can keep an eye on the root system. They are telling me to up-pot soon. I am going to do it on the cheap. Gotta find some super cheap pots......I think I may try fabric grocery bags. I probably have enough just lying around.

Well, you can do as Chris Scorpio says and kill the bastard! LOL. Or you can isolate them way away from the females and collect the pollen and freeze it. That is if ya want to make male and female seeds. If you want to just make feminized seeds, you just need a female or two. In that case Kill the Bastard!! Sometimes the only good male is a dead male!

Personally, I only make feminized seeds and I keep very few regular seeds . ES

Anyone know if mars hydro has any discounts for members? I tried contacting the mars rep. Hopefully she will respond quickly.

I ordered a 2x4 mars. Should be here by June 5th-8th. I also ordered the Growneer fan, should be here by the 5th also. It had a 2 yr warranty and was cheap. Cross my fingers it works out well. Too bad the shipping is so long. Oh well. I can use the time to up-pot them and make my choice as to who is going on to flower. Still gotta keep my eyes peeled for more boys. Gotta keep the smell down until then. Sweet dreams. Dream of big, fat buds.

Praise the sun! I woke up to pistols! I sexed the original 7 plants this morning. The two in solo cups are 3 weeks behind the rest. Seems as though I have a sorority on my hands. 1 male and 6 females. As luck would have it, the only male was the one I tried to fim. He is not an attractive plant because of it. Very healthy though. Honestly I was kinda wishing for more males. It would make choices easier.

I wish I could cram them all in a 2x4 tent. As it is ,I will only have the one light. I will have to just do my best using half of the tent for now. How many plants should I keep? Half maybe?

If I can sell my car in the next week, maybe I can still look at lights.

Girls are drinking a lot. I noticed they also have the teeniest bit of nute burn at the tips. I'll dial it back a bit. At their next feeding I will give them a weak solution of molasses and epsom. The feeding after that will be with ff grow big and ff tiger bloom. Every couple of weeks they just get a plain ,off gassed tap water to 20% run off. Seems to be working thus far. Knock on wood.

I started these girls on distilled. After their first transplant , I switched to tap. I off gas it and water. My ph from tap is 7.5. The soil I am using is a mix of ffof, happy frog and burpee garden coir mixed by equal parts.

Hello Miss VG,

Got some pictures? The only suggestion I could make is, you may need to lower your pH level about mid 6 range. Your plants would be a bit happier. pH down works very well for that. Nutrients get taken up as different pH levels. Fox farm has it on their chart I believe. just a suggestion.

I use Fox Farm nutrients too. Grow Big and Tiger Bloom will definitely spike the ppm fast. I cut back on the Tiger Bloom and added Flower Fuel to control the ppm burst from Tiger Bloom. I think I got better results that way. Big Bloom from Fox Farm added a lot of trace minerals and good ol' Bat Guano. I think it help, your mileage may vary. LOL.

Just do what ya can to get them across finish line. Every grow will get better. It's a marathon with MJ not a sprint that's for sure. Biggest thing that has helped me over the years is getting a notebook and writing things down. It gets your grows consistent. When you try new things or suggestion you can back out of things and go back to your way of growing. We have all evolved in our growing style. We are all unique in the quest to get an end product that gives us pleasure, helps with pain relief, gains appetite or helps us sleep when we can't.

Have a Green Day! ES.

I was going to do a slurry test. And I will post that and the ph of my off gassed water and said water after adding molasses and epsom. I have vinegar I can use for ph down.

Vinegar is not a very stable product to bring down the pH. I've tried that and citric acid but found pH down to be the most effective. My water is between 8.5 and 9.5 out of the faucet. Tiger Bloom will bring it down somewhat.

I got the kit (pH up/ pH down, a pipette and bottle of testing solution) found it a waste. I use pH down and a pH meter. I also use a TDS/PPM meter. When things get off you can fix it quick. Best investment I made to grow. Just a suggestion. ES.

So, my water off gassed is at 7.5. My runoff is at 6.4. I am using a live soil with plenty of buffers added. Microbes should ph for me.Plants look great this morning!

Ph up and ph down is the exact same product for aquatics. I think it was actually made for aquatics first. I really don't like using them to adjust my water. They fluctuate also, just less. I get around this in my aquarium by using iron dpta ( cleating agent). Unlike iron edta, it is easily taken up in harder water and won't precipitate. This is what I suspect is in the hard water formulas of some nute brands. Most terrestrial and aquatic plants can acclimate to more alkaline soil as long as you use dpta instead of edta. That being said, I probably should get a new tds meter. Just so I have it on hand. Ph, I check with a very reliable liquid test kit. I will use ph down if it is needed. I am not stubborn to the point of detriment. Pics tomorrow, if I can get a new memory card today. Have a lovely day. Now off to kill the male. I get no pleasure from killing healthy plants. Something I am going to have to come to terms with.

Thank you VG. I learned something new today! Can't wait to see the pictures.

From this morning. They are always extra perky after their molasses/epsom. I am now having to move the light daily. Happy chicas! I feel blessed today. It could be delirium caused by mild heat stroke though. Mowing the lawn was a dumb move today. It is over 100f.

Why do dogs always want to cuddle when you are at your hottest?

Temp is 75f in the closet with 45%rh. They are in my bedroom, which just happens to be the coolest room in the house. Lucky plants. Have a great weekend y'all!

They look very nice. Where are you at in the grow cycle? Veg or Flower? What day?
