Virgin Ground And The Little Star Asterion

How long did it last?
Almost 2 years. 1st one kicked when I dunked it the first week. I never calibrated it. It's pretty darn close under 200ppm, maybe 1-2%, and around 1000ppm it widens to about 5%. I rarely go that hot. It bugs the crap out of me that I can't calibrate it. I will spring for another soon, just not a priority. If I was going to try a new medium, I would be in more of a hurry.

I can't see that I'm doing it wrong. It had a calibration check mark last night. Not this morning though. I am going to do the whole process again. I put brand new batteries in it also.

My blue pen holds about a week with variance +.1, but I re-calibrate every sunday jic.

Maybe also flip an email to the manufacturer and tell them you have an older pen that won't hold calibration past 8 hours, do they have a replacement program....might be a 20 buck swap or something. Worth a try.

I'll try that. Worst they can say is no. If he gives my money back, I was able to find a new one for $57. Looking at the apera for the same price though. Replaceable probe is kinda a great feature on the apera.

Well, they are 37 days from flip.

My garden guardian. Never seen a frog with so much junk in the trunk.

They are a bit yellow at the tops. I think maybe too much P or light bleaching.

I'm able to send pH meter back. I'll only be out $7. Shopping for a new one.

Looking fantastic
Thanks. I am a picky mother though. While they are struggling just a tad. I have to admit that they make my first harvest look really crappy.

I just want to do a good job on my seed review. Good job = free seeds. At the same time they say they are good for beginner growers. I am indeed that. All I can do is prepare and try my best.

Did you kill the wabbit ( amnesia haze), yet?

I use koolbloom in flower for P, seems to work good

Baby Haze is still trying to survive

Gonna just let her go while I'm gone, see what happens

Not familiar with the apera, how much is a replaceable probe?

The beauty of 'my' bluepen is that it always errors .1 up. I recalibrate every week, and when I place it in 7 solution, it usually reads 7 or 7.1. I find this beautiful because if I shoot for 6.5 on the pen, I know my mixes are hitting the plant with a predictable wild swing of 6.5-6.6.

IDK if they all error that way, if they do, that is a brilliant design.

The probe is $35-$40. I just don't know. I'll either get two really cheap ones or a more expensive one. Not sure yet. I have a bit to figure it out. I have no problem paying for quality. apera are very good instruments.
