VG & InTheShed Are Darin' To Grow Varin From Weed Seeds Express

So...two days ago for us then. :)
Yeah....
Buttercup woke up to his Varin touching his lights.

He said it grew 2-3" overnight.

I'd better transplant asap. I fed her this morning so it will be a day or two.
I'm prematurely transplanting her and I know some growers won't necessarily agree with that.
I did it with my Bubba Kush and Chemdawg and they took to it well.

Now I have to decide between a 3 and a 5 gallon pot.

Wow! Glad I have a tall tent!

You should be alright.
Mine tent unfortunately, is a shorty.

I need more practice with training anyway. I'm done growing untopped plants. I just lost my main cola on a plant that I use for my pain management. Whole thing was moldy inside.

Hmmm...I should probably top my Varin pretty soon.

Go with a 5 since it'll have the space to itself
I was leaning that way.
I don't care for watering every two days when I'm in flower.
Top and transplant and start that training. If it's stretching that much for Chris I may have to top sooner than I usually do. Or not...I don't mind a challenge. :cheesygrinsmiley:
You do love to supercrop.

I have to finish up some trimming today. I should be able to toss her in a tent sometime this weekend.

Tomorrow is transplant day for my lil' Varin. I have her tent all ready to go.

Day #35 since sprout....

She'll go into a plastic one gallon for a few weeks. I'll probably top her the day after transplant if she looks good.
She'll be going into her final, five gallon GeoPot right before X-mas.
I plan to flip to flower right around New Years Day!

:passitleft:
Hope y'all are well!

She's a beautiful cross of something! Nice growstruct!

Here's my DV on day 35 as well!

And roots-a-poppin only 12 days post up-can!

I'll probably top it this coming weekend as I think it's pushing out the 8th node now, and I just gave it full veg nutes yesterday (117-24-122 with Ca: 59, Mg: 34, S 45, and Si: 50).

Oh good, you'll be ahead of me in flower! I hope not to flip this until my other two are done, and they're only on flip 36.

If i may ask VG , why do you transplant so many times ? I was under the impression that it slows the grow each time you do so ? Either way Looks good ! and Shed has it going on too !

the plant may experience a little shock for a day or two but that's it. in hempy or coco they may not get any at all. transplanting at the correct point helps a long way. you don't want to be too early and you definitely don't want it going too long.

I give mine less light for a few days after transplant to lessen the shock. When I would transplant and stick them right back in the sun they would take a week to recover.

And I only transplant twice: solo to 1 gallon and then to final pot (usually 7 gallon).

She is starting to be a nice looking plant. Glad she overcame her ugly duckling phase.

My plans are loose.
I'll react to what she gives me.
Maybe I'll flip sooner or perhaps later?
We'll see, my good man!

I just like transplanting... ;)
I usually transplant at least twice for all plants, including autoflowers.
If the roots can hold the soil together ,I consider them in the window for transplant.
I don't like to wait too long either. That can slow a plant down. I've seen some of my rootballs and they look like they choked themselves out. After harvest when I emptied the pot and reclaimed some of the soil for my outdoor garden, I could see original container shape with sparse roots coming off of it. They failed to use the entire five gallon pot.
The rootball was so dense I had a really hard time breaking it up.
Plants that I transplant before that have better root formation that fills the entire pot.

I feel like I'm rambling...?

I just transplanted mine. She's still in the veg area. I could put her in her tent this evening but think I'll wait until tomorrow.
Give her a little recovery period.

I think this is the biggest fan leaf I've grown:
On the Varin!?!?
That's a pretty big leaf.
Mine are puny compared to that.

Pics of no roots +after transplant..
