I kicked butt yesterday!I hope you did just that.
I'm actually not that sore either.
Tylenol, whiskey-coffee and purple hash mixed with a little Peyote Forum.
I'm attempting to recreate this magical elixir at present.
Thank you CarmenMorning Variners,
It's Thursday here in the southern hemisphere which means I can get my TG wishes to you bright and early. I marvel at this holiday you have every year, that has as one of its ideals the uniting of your fellow citizens. We often despair when these things don't work out in practice but at least there is a day that forces us to re-evaluate our lives and the meaningfulness of contributions to nation building, and to be thankful for democratic freedoms etc. I don't know the full history of TG but I honor the ideal. I feel sentimental today because many of us in the not so free world hold your country's freedoms in high esteem. Have a wonderful and special turkey day, no matter how you choose to spend it. Happy Thanksgiving.
Both Dougies are looking super healthy and beaut!
I'm excited about the day. We started doing a smaller get together in the last few years. We used to go to my bf's uncle and aunt's house. There is always around fifty people at their giant cabin. It's nice to have a more informal setting to enjoy our holiday.
I made one rule this year.
Everyone has to stay in their pajamas all day,no exceptions.
This may stem from my own desire to wear snuggly pants.
The true history of Thanksgiving is a hazy one. The history books we used in school were often misleading or outright lies.
Whatever it truly started out to be has been replaced with what we see today. Coming together to give thanks for what we have and to bitch to our relatives about what we don't.
To overstuff ourselves and drool on our favorite aunt's new couch when we hit food coma status! To inevitably put our foot in our own mouth at least once.
I am thankful for their capacity for forgiveness.
Happy Thanksgiving!!Happy Thanksgiving !!
**Gobble Gobble**

One of the many things I'm thankful for.. a good friend.
