Really? That's interesting, I'm using the FF trio line in a soil grow right now. They seem to be working ok, although this is my first grow, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I'm going to look into AN nutrients, there actually not too pricey in my local Hydro store. Still more than most though, so may also look into the GH line as well, have heard great things about them too.
Your flux really is a spot on example of a flux done right though. I'd imagine the benefit of manifolding over fluxing would be the amount of stress given to the plant early on. Manifolding seems much less stressful to the plant and produces the ideal type and amount of bud per plant (little to no larf or airy lower buds). I could be off as I've never done a flux, but this seems logical.
If it's your first time, just use GH. I know AN looks appealing and there is truth to their ingredients being decent (confirmed by chemist friend) however, how much better they are compared to the price point ehhhh a lot of people including myself feel as though they aren't worth it. That being said, thousands of growers, commercial and hobbyist, use AN's entire lineup with great success. Just my two cents. bottom line though, stay clear of FF. Most of their money goes into the pretty bottle they put on the shelves
Also, Floranova has literally everything a plant needs from start to finish and they're about 20 dollars a quart.
If you're looking for a step up Nutrient line, that is to say a line that is considered to be higher quality than GH, FF, Botanicare, etc, check out house and garden or CANNA nutrients.
Ok thanks for the info, really appreciate it! I'll have to finish out this grow with my FF nutes. But then to the shelf they will go. Lol Also seen House and Garden at the Hydro store, they recommended it. I'll check them out too. Probably go with GH next round, with a few other Supplements/Bloom enhancers. Then after a while I'll probably step up to one of the others. Again, thanks for the info.
No problem. Personally I'm going with GH Floranova, liquid koolbloom, cal mag, gh root enhancer, GW mycos, and some vegan plant enhancer by GH I can't remember what it's called but it's cheap and adds low almost negligible ppms so I figure what the hell
