Vetsmoke85 First Grow Stealth Cabinet

Yeah but what I meant was try to have 2 plants in the cabinet growing say 4-5 weeks apart. One about ready to harvest, one mid point. Could do a cardboard box with a fan and filter instead. Thought maybe the PC case would look less out of place than a box with a fan stuck in it though. Lol.

For a non stop operation of 2 plants 5 weeks apart is 10 weeks for a plant to finish, which is pretty much unrealistic. Given the flowering time is around 8 weeks, means you only have 2 weeks for veg. Not to mention that after those two weeks both plants should be in flower. And two weeks veg is pretty much only the 4'th node coming out. Means the plants should be around 6 or even 7 weeks apart. And I highly doubt you can contain a 6-7 week old plant in a PC box.
Also, if you want to fill out your entire grow (flower) space with a single plant, it'll take more than 7 weeks to veg.
But, like I said, just my 2 cents worth here and I will gadly watch the experiment if you decide to go for it :)

Autos should finish in 8-10 weeks from seed. If I pick the right ones. I wouldn't be growing anything in the PC box. That would solely be a drying box. I would pop one auto seed in the cabinet, then 4-5 weeks later pop another in the same space.

I've had many...many autos run over 8 weeks in flower alone... Jack Herer auto & Green Crack auto flowered for 11.5 weeks.

That was after they had vegged for around 30-45 days.

Those growth timelines from the breeder are based on "best case scenario", in perfect grow conditions.

Every little mistake we make with autos, slows them down a little.

I have never had an auto finish in the suggested grow time... not once.

I've found autos to be an awesome addition, to keep my grow "perpetual" but they have to be squeezed in at the right time...

I run mine opposite some photo plants. The autos will be flowering through the veg cycle of the photos, then I start my next autos under 12/12 while the photo plants finish flowering. Once the photos get chopped, lights go back to 20/4 and the cycle repeats...

Can second what @Preston9mm said.
Also, I would like to look in the eye of a man, who came up with the idea that if you have a limited space, then you must grow auto seeds... but from my point of view, you absolutely must grow photos. This way you have control over her, and can predict what size plant you are going to get, after a few grows of a single strain you can dial in to almost millimeters (you can check my grows and how they progressed to fill my box entirely). Not the case with autos.

Haha! Oh yeah...

Here's a good example of no control. LoL

My Amnesia auto... I almost culled because it started flowering right after it spit up the 4th node.
When she started flowering:

And now...

I did not expect that, at all!

All valid points. I may just sack that idea off for now. See what yield I get on this grow and how long it lasts me. Do the same thing again on the next grow but think I'll put in 2 x square 3L ish fabric pots. Going to stick with autos for the next grow and then give photos a try after that possibly. Noticed #2 has gone a lighter green and all the lower first leaves have yellowed. Not sure if it's some kind of deficiency or just because she's in such a small pot. Will post some pics in a bit.

Is anyone using a very low temperature herb dehydrator (90°F or lower) to get the initial dry job done in 3-4 days before placing them into jars for the cure?
I looked into that and the general consensus seemed to be it can be done but it's a risk.

Smart way of doing it mate. Do the autos veg okay under 12/12 then?

A bit slower... sometimes I will start them in my closet under 24 hour blurple (I've got some old 1k's) then I'll move them to the big room when they outgrow their cups.

It shaves a couple weeks off the exposure to 12/12. Not that the 12 hours of light will hurt them, they just grow more aggressively with more light.

I try to get the best veg I can, but ultimately still end up with solid yields whether 12/12 or 24/0.

Most times, the autos I run are "taste testers" of strains I'd like to try. I don't rely on them to keep my coffers full.

Few pics of the girls from this afternoon. Side by side you can see the colour difference on #2.

One of mine went like that colour half way veg but is back to normal now but wasn't sure myself mate. Your plants have grown quite alot in the the last few days, well bushed out mate

I'm going to try it sometime. I'll let you know how it goes. I just can't see why it is much different from air drying in a box with fans and 80°-90°F temps. Sounds just like a dehydrator to me. After the dehydrator 96 hour dry run at 90°, I plan to throw that sample stash into a jar with Boveda 62%. I'll let you know what I think.

Give it a whirl and let us know mate.

Well now I really can't decide whether to do autos or photos on the next run. Lol. Currently on the Seedsman website with the basket containing
1 x Candy Kush Express (RQS)
5 x Blue Mystic (Nirvana seeds)
3 x Free Jack Herer (Seedsman)

All photo & feminised. 9 seeds for around £30. Seems a pretty good price and would keep me going a while. I'll be pondering this all night at work. Ha ha.

I'm a Jack Junkie bro!

I love that those are the freebies right now! I'm growing 2, as we speak. Always a solid preformer!

I've never grown RQS or Nirvana, but I've also never heard negative shit about either.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised with how much more you can control your grow with photoperiod plants.
