Vetsmoke85 First Grow Stealth Cabinet

Little more bending done. Need a bit more growth before I can pull the top down I think. No space to get a tie in there right now. Both still looking nice and green though. Was thinking I'd put in a 1/4 dose of Bio Grow when they eventually need some water. Lovely little scent in the cabinet now.

Couple of pics just before lights on and I head off to work. Both pots were very light this morning so I mixed 0.25ml BioGrow with 500ml water and gave them both a drink. Hoping we have a little growth explosion by the time I get home tomorrow morning. Also noticed on the middle pic just above the anchor is a light coloured line on the stem. Hoping I haven't over stressed it on the bend and damaged it.

Light colored line might just be her shedding the cotyledons and that, I don't know how to call it, membrane maybe.

They're looking perfect. No worries.
Ah okay cool. Thanks. Right now the internode spacing is so tight I still can't get a tie in anywhere but below the cotyledons. Hoping she starts to stretch out a little soon so I can get in there and shape some more.

Glad I had another look in just before heading to work. Light timer hadn't kicked in. Put in a new electronic one last week and it's confusing setting it up. Ha ha. Can put in 10 programs but doesn't say how to choose which one. I've now set 6 programs all the same and will set the rest tomorrow. Hopefully then it'll always come on when needed. Need a microscope to read the instructions.

While there's a lull in the battle I'd like to share my thoughts on drying and curing. Getting ahead a bit I know but I like to be prepared. I have toyed with the idea of making a drying box but think I may as well just use the cabinet to hang and dry while I prep for the next grow. Then into mason jars with boveda packs for curing. I'm also toying with the idea of water curing a little bit. See what the harvest is like. Anyone had any experience with that. Would like to hear your preferences on the whole harvesting process.

I can only tell you my experience and approach to this... I also was reading, willing to water cure. Now I ocasionally catch myself wanting to cure in a fridge. All the high end hassle friendly stuff :) But I know for sure, come harvest day, I am going to hang them to dry in the box and in the jar they go.. haha
I am too lazy for anything else. Or, maybe not enough bud to risk any of it for experimenting :)
I would not hurry with the boveda thought. I put it in only after a month, for storage.

Ha ha. Thanks for the input. Water curing is tempting to try on a bit as I've read the smell and taste pretty much disappear, which sounds terrible, but then I could get away with sitting in my garden smoking a joint and not have the neighbours complain. Lol. Might just try it with one bud and see what happens. So do you not stress too much about your RH for curing then?

Managed to get the top tied down and open up the growth below to the light. Hopefully they'll shoot up now and then I can tie those down too.

I monitor it, ofcourse. But I jar them up at around 70-75 RH and burp them often until it gradually gets to 62. Then I throw in a boveda pack and leave it for storage.
This is best case scenario. Worst case is like my last harvest.. I overdried it accidentally, boveda helped some, 2 months "curing" also helped a bit, but the taste is still quite bad :) like chewing a stomp.. lol

The ladies still seem happy and healthy. As I never planned to actually grow the younger one she has ended up being a bit of an experiment and I topped her this morning. Took off the tip just above where I could see new nodes starting. I was in two minds whether to try it or not but they've been so healthy so far I thought she could handle it. Let's see how she responds.
