I get it organic chemical free. Thats all great if you have the time and energy to put into it. I have enough problems growing the way I am now. I guess I am too lazy for an all-organic grow. If you do not make your own spray to feed your plants, you will be buying something that says organic, but I believe it is still large scale produced. This to me is not real organic. Dani you have the closest thing to true organic grow, I on the other hand if I see bugs, I think first kill them not what natural insect will kill it for me. Ya I am lazy because I do have the time, I am retired but I do not have the knowledge for an organic grow. To be honest I do not even know what insects are beneficial for my plants. Lady bugs that's about as far as I go. It would be nice to see a list of good insects for our cannabis plants.

I was under the impression that you wanted knowledge about living soil, microbes (you use Mykos for the soil), and stuff related to the organics point of view.

I just put the info here brother; I’m no way pushing anyone to grow organics, specially if the have no idea what organic cultivation stands for.
Because a fertilizer says it’s organic does not actually stand for organically sourced or environmentally friendly.
I am no longer wanting to call my line of hand made by myself fertilizers “Organic” they are plant based organic fertilizers.
I given all my recipes here; it’s easy grab your dandelion and put it in water for weeks. Not at all energy consuming task, I can understand the lazy attitude; I too have it.
I grow this way because it’s a high level reserved for experienced organic/permaculture snobs like me, I am a permaculture snob, I became obsessed with living soil, real living soil, don’t blame me for being passionate about my life choice (consuming organic), it’s a lifestyle and a hard one if you are the one growing the food and weed. Takes huge reading time and years of essays-erreurs.

I don’t share my journals to compare or compete with any other style of fertilizer schedule shown here on the community, I just share because it’s a liberating experience for me to tell the world;

👋🏻 hi my name is Daniel and I grow beyond organic in the 49th parallel.

I might not be climbing the Everest but buddy trust me this way of growing is by far one of the hardest there is out there.

An example of the skepticism I’ve seen around my style and methods;

The Willow (Salicylic Acid) foliar application will prevent and/or kill the hyphae (mycelium) of the Mildew, rot, or mold.

Not much talk about that except for a few of you out there, I will put it again to test, in October when I am still running late flowering phenos and the rain hits Vancouver Island terrible Mildew arrives to decay everything here, last year I got 0. I intend to get 0 this year too.

I have only seen 2 members openly trying this Willow Jadam extract; by the way Azimuth has an incredible thread on how to make Plant based organic fertilizer. There are tons of books about it. I didn’t invent anything I just started reading.

I appreciate all your knowledge and please do not stop sharing. I am still in the learning phase of growing and I am open on all ways of growing. I take a little piece from here and another from there and in the end, I hope I can grow some good weed. I would not know where to begin to grow all organic. You are right I do not know what all organic grows look like.

Hi Dan, you supercrop your mains I see. Do you hold them down after to keep an angle or are you strictly playing hormone shuffle? I'm noticing they bend and go right back up. I think my two are ripe for some shakeup now and I didn't want to top these this year. Was thinking of your method. So it slows the main some and gives the rest a tickle to grow?

What you just described is the recipe to creating your own unique style and method of growing;

Grab a little from here and there. That’s how I created and so has everyone else created and developed their own unique style. And honestly you first or second grow, it’s incredible well run bro, your plants are static to be alive. I follow your grow because it’s one of the few still making it about the plant and not what brand of fed they use.

That’s why I say I’m the outcast; because I don’t use nutes. Validation among nute growers is incredibly hard to achieve being fully plant based organic grow.
It’s hard for me to make a point when the majority uses the same product lines and I don’t.

You feel me?

I appreciate and enjoy the back and forth conversation bro

Interesting question Stone;

So normally I would tie down the now new main tops, to a complete restricted movement allowing the new shoots to thrive. I also play hormone shuffle I find it beneficial for the most part,all thru the life cycle of the plant.

I have recorded now 24hrs relocation movement after the tops are pinched and bent. That doesn’t slow down a fierce apical dominant top; which they kinda all become if the branches are all well bent at the perfect spot inside the spacing between nodes. That’s why you see me hit several times the same area between 2 nodes.

I failed to tie down the true apical dominant top on both my autos so now they are hard to tame.
I also didn’t know what to expect from my HST and auto flows.

My photoperiod phenos will soon see a clip holding them main tops down.

Hope I covered your question, thanks for stopping by.

@Amy Gardner has a thread somewhere about insect identification.

Thanks Mel there is a lot of good info in there.

Example how to tie down a lanky Sativa;

The apical main was clipped with a string to the fence at almost 45degrees angle plus I pinched and bent at the very top. I’m expecting all these lower node branches to take off like crazy.

I will repeat same process to the rest of them. I will follow up tomorrow 24 hrs later to see how much they move.

Hey Dani, good morning bro

Maybe Kalinga?

Good morning Brother

:passitleft:

I ve been reading about this trait called
Scorpion leaf trait. Something special about a pheno with scorpion leaf end; don’t take it from me, take it from here;

The say something like scorpion tail phenotype; but they don’t show pictures of what they mean. At least the give it as a phenotrait. I think they refer to that scorpion tail shape at the end of the tan leaf, I see that trait now in the fan leaf of the PSF1XFM (Duterte’s male dad) and the Durban DPxFM (Duterte’s male dad)

So much to discover bro; and the more a I read about Philippines landrace cultivars the more I want to go back and seek more seeds. Their landraces are in danger, Duterte president has wiped out acres of guerilla grows and local farmers being jailed and to an extent even killed for growing this stuff.

It’s a very important mission to keep these genetics alive, every single landrace has the genetic code to withstand mold, rot and mildew as they grow in the most hostil and poor soil environments possible, with monsoon rain falls and thick canopies of tress. The tropical sativas are one of the most pest resistant Genos out there.
That’s a fact.
