I'll bet @cbdhemp808 has some suggestions.
Thanks for the tag, Azi.

Have a question for the community;

I’m looking for a CBD strain/cultivar with the lowest THC available; for medical purpose. Any recommendations and where to get it?

:Namaste:
I've been growing 3 phenos of a common strain known as Cherry Blossom. You can keep THC below 0.3% if you harvest early, in which case CBD will be around 8%. If you let them go until full ripeness, THC will be around 1% or less while CBD will be around 10-12%.

I'm growing two other CBD strains now, for the first time, which are flowering but far from harvest: Sweet Critical CBD (50/50 hybrid) and Seedsman 30:1 CBD (80% sativa). Both are supposed to be able to reach 20% CBD. I will definitely have them tested.

I think you'll find all of these CBD strains will come in around 1% THC or less when fully ripe. They are classified as cannabis chemotype #3.

If you want zero THC, I recommend a CBG strain. I'm growing one that, if harvested early, produces about 10% CBG while THC and CBD are below the measurement threshold (i.e. they are essentially zero). If grown to full ripeness, CBG would probably come in around 12% or a bit more.

I'm also growing Double Black Label CBG, which is advertised as able to produce above 20% CBG, but I think that outcome would be from a rare phenotype. I found a pheno of DBL that looks sativa dominant, and another which looks indica dominant. From my results, there was one sativa pheno out of 14 seedlings. I will definitely have the sativa tested, and maybe the indica, and report the results here on the forum.

Another one you could try is Quebec 20:1 CBD.

Fantastic information, I have plenty of choices.
The person needing the CBD can’t handle THC causes drowsiness, nausea, cold sweets. Anything below 2% THC should work, at 5% THC it’s already too much.
I haven’t tried CBG, I should read on that.

Thanks again

slowly moving, but moving.

Added two extra led lights, I’m doing 14 hrs of light for what ever is in the greenhouse.
Nothing special in the soil just potting mix and worm castings. Watering and misting with seaweed “water” for now since it hasn’t properly fermented and done its thing…

I did see some sprouts from the other seeds planted, first observation the fastest sprouting is Personal Sat. X Filipino male, such a fast start.

Total 4 out of 5 sprout, fast and almost at the same time. I like it very interesting.

Pretty stoked this one came out. Totally unknown to me, let’s see what she brings.

Only one sprout so far, wondering what’s the deal here. Will give them time.

3x P. Sat. X FM(Filipino male) cross 2022

I’m really looking forward to seeing this pheno, the parents were something else. Should be a mostly if not highly Sativa dominant.

Another one I’m looking forward to seeing is this cross. The parents can be traced back to my last years grow. Last years Durban Poison was highly resistant to pest, also faster flowering times for a Sativa dominant pheno; hopefully we inherited all that and then some.

Thank you kindly Captain, one sad news is Guatemalan seed I found never sprouted. Didn’t get to see it but there is many more exciting ones.

We will still have a fun season.

Me too I had my hopes up, but it’s not happening. I did actually smoke the bud while in Guatemala (bud that had them 2 seeds on it), it was a clear headed uplifting effect like the equatorial sativas. There is always next time.

Did you ever get to see one growing? I’m just curious if it’s more rojo leaning or more green? Sounds like my favorite high though. Thanks Dani and happy 420! CL🍀

I didn’t get to see any pheno in Guatemala. It’s pretty low key stuff. But I know the one you’re talking about Punto rojo. The Central America landrace

The final sprout count;

3/5 - PS f1 X FM (2022 cross)
2/5 - Durban Pois. X FM (2022 cross)
0/5 - PS f1 ( incredible none sprouted)

2/3 - “Pink Kush” (unknown genetic)
2/2 - “Super Lemon haze” (unknown genetic)
1/1 - Duterte’s nightmare (Filipino seeds)

And the 2 auto flows.

Every pheno has their own plot of land now, carefully transplanted and waiting for take off. It’s been 10-15 Celsius inside the greenhouse with the exception of a week that temperatures went low low (last frost) and I think thats what got some of the seeds the temperatures got too cold at night. Anyway I take that as what ever came out on this cold conditions is what I am looking for strong genetics starts at seed and sprout all the way to harvest. Forcing the genetic pool to get used to cold humid conditions, like last year I left the plants to freeze to death and they still lived.

Things are still slow because of the cold weather meanwhile I work on soil and logistics; space in the greenhouse something scarce at the moment.
