ya brewmaster not sure on the variety of the grapes,, my mothers husband was from Portugal and he planted some old country vines..also some white and a couple of table grapes witch are used (mixed in) to bring up the brix,, The man made some incredible wines,, no sulphites = no hangovers , wish we had written them down,, I try to stay true to the organic, love watching them carboys bubble, I have only been at it for several years, but hell all the grapes are there,so let’s give’r a try, I’m getting better every year...just like wine

I’m in between the new school and the old school my G, when it comes to growing it, drying it and curing it.

I find that taking the best tricks and methods from both schools brings the best product overall.
I still have a final manicure to do if I wanted to make the buds look very nice but I chose to leave important sugar leaves that are filled with trichomes, great medicinal properties are on the sugar leaves, I find over-trimming the buds is a waste of product, a proper dry and cured bud would have broken down any chlorophyll left on the sugar leaf.

:passitleft:

Btw nice looking grapes Jonny, making some wine?
I agree, Dani! In a rush to do the same. I am glad for my hanging basket. Between dryinjg, trimming some-what wet for the first time and monitoring RH level in the baskets by jarring a level and testing the rh is a challenge.
So busy! lol

Yep - It all ends up in the same place for me and I don't care what it looks like!!! :thedoubletake:
Something I'm trying this year is placing a few colas in a big jar with a Hydrometer to check the moisture level - I used to just go by feel. I'm hoping this is closer.

We need a bigger boat!!!
Oh man, those were exactly the words that formed in my mind the instant I saw this pic. I used to live on a boat and woke up to this scene every day for a month right about this time of year because I had to dry my personal cut, well, personally. Was one of the few times I found a 10 sq. ft. home uncomfortable (if we omit the storms, near collisions, dragging anchor, falling alseep while running, pirates and being on the Bering Sea by myself.) Frankly, my heart started racing and a cold sweat came on when I saw this pic...Sure, seeing all that green was great, 'cept when it wasn't, which was most of the time.

It's not!!!!! Checked my jar this morning!!!! 85% YIKES!!!!! :thedoubletake: :thedoubletake: :thedoubletake:
It is tough to know when to hit the jars, especially using just hippy-magic, which I never used to have particularly much of. That whole 'stem-snapping' thing is a little too 'pat', it just means it's anywhere from dryish to way too try and terps have left the building, never to return. That, or, the just that stem location dry, which happens. I think all that potential humming and hawing is why many turn to the 'whole plant, long-term, dry-partial cure' scenario like Dani's pal does. Experience breeds patience, I'm told :laughtwo:. Me, I bought ten of those wee hygros w/ watch batteries in 'm, because I'm with you, I only know, when I know. If I've rushed the jars, least I'll know.

PS @danishoes21 buddy, that Durban looks fantastic, no shit. I like a lovingly trimmed shag m'self also. Yeah, rock hard nugs are 'cool', but not if its cuz they've been bouncing around in a machine no end. No doubt that trim is in part where dispensary pre-rolls come from (the 'good' part), that and the floor sweepings. Remind's me, my daughter was just in New York City on a quick lark for the MoMA and the cheapest disp. joint they could find in Manhattan was 20$ USD, and it was bunk. I guess with no cross-state commerce that's to be expected.

I had (another) fast and loud trip to emerg but I'm home, fine, no really, and plants in SIPs were fine. My little sativas almost bought the farm, however, I decided to try and bring them back, not esp. hopeful, but BAM! they're being troopers, it's def. happening. Its just how we roll 'round these parts, am I right?

If I could find some “GOOD “”LSD I’d make some Electric wine..But all the good drugs are gone ..They only care about the money nowadays.. The streets have turned to crap my friend..Used to be the “ Angels “ put up some GOOD...
I seen people in the south make a homemade wine from wild grapes called Muscadine’s. I don’t like it but it’ll get ya buzzed. CL🍀

Hi y’all

I hope you Gs doing good lately, everyone is busy trimming and cutting and burping and drying.
Been on the same mission, cutting some down and taking my time to check all the buds.
To date no mayor bud rot outbreak. I’ve had only one bud total loss the rest is safe.
The stinky chunky skunk is soooooooo smelly my whole place is skunk house.
The water deprived plant is one step sticky smelly one, way more terpenes than the Durban.

I love a stinky stinky plant! One of my Zkittlez went super stinky last grow, so strong we were almost gagging, had to open the house up during one of the hottest days of summer!
That deprived plant is a good example of droughting! I do it whenever I can! Droughting and its medicinal effects in cannabis

Would lifting the plant with a decent root ball attached, wrap the root ball in a garbage bag to encase the soil then hang the whole plant and let hang for about 10 days.....duplicate a drought.....then harvest??? :hmmmm:
Asking for a friend!!!!:ciao:

Might want to stick it back in some water after the drought to perk it up for easier trimming. Nothing worse than trying to cut droopy leaves :ciao:
