Well October 15th, we are overextended here but what a gift. I finally got to harvest some weight and its such a great feeling.

I have way too many photos here so hopefully yall can enjoy, most of it is looking really special.

Personal Sativa
This pheno still an enigma, she is looking a little behind compared to its clones in pots out in the bush, I would say she is somewhere in the middle of flower taking her sweet ass time to finish. As flower has been progressing I noticed more little PM looking spots, also started noticing the same stains I had on the other phenos, that makes a pattern very interesting. Also starting to put the odd yellow fan here and there another sign she is mid flower. No particular scent also no mayor trichomes at sight, confirms she needs lots of more time, another 50 days?? who knows... I have watered in same fashion and did a heavy heavy foliar with Willow JMS. Crossing fingers for another week of dry sunny days. I decided to do a bend on several of the top colas just to see what happens whe you keep training a pheno all thru flower.

Dutertes Nightmare
This little hottie is so sharp on her looks, nice and green, healthy all the way. Doesnt show any signs of slowing down and is looking ahead of the Personal sat. I know nothing about this pheno, so far I see lost of resistance to pest, thats a real plus. Bud structure is tight, I like that too but could be a sign of some sort of indica trait at some point. Not much happening with the Trichomes, she needs more time.

Chunky Skunk
For several weeks I have been overthinking about this pheno, about the yellowing of the leaves and the marks on her. Well after today I feel she is pretty much ready to go when ever. I have decided to let her go one more week just to take the water deprivation to another level; today we are at 7 days since last watering, I skipped it and will be taking her down completely next week putting her well over 12 days with no water. Lets see how she turns out.
The smell on this one is intense citrus lemony skunk and she is looking well covered in trichomes. The yellowing of the leaves has reached the top of the plant just leaving a lime green on the buds followed by almost silver innerbuds. She is very uplifting and the nugs are heavy, I lost lot of yield on this one but still happy with what she accomplished. High stress training WOW. She didnt get any liquid, no foliar, just trimmed useless larf and dead branches, clean the whole plant.

Xenomorph aka Durban Poison
Finally I got my scissors on her, went for a well deserved crown harvest, took home all the tops. Didnt really think twice about harvesting since she was done at least all the tops. She isn't the smelly one out of the gang but she does pack the weight. The buds all tops and they really looked great. No mold, no bud rot. Lets keep in mind we havent had any rain here for weeks, so I got lucky too.
My grower friend had to harvest all his plants (6) from his greenhouse because PM took a hold of the place... and yes this is the same greenhouse I was offered to finish my 2 plants... Im gonna think about that. I saw his plants and another week would have been really bad on PM.
So for anyone following the past 2 months of this grow, imma call this a very possible one here on the Willow JMS and the Horsetail JMS. I think they work and will make them part of my preventive pest/illness management. I dont really need much proof besides what I see, specially seeing my buddies plants go from no PM to full PM in 2 weeks.

This pheno has not been watered since last week so 7 days water deprivation before top harvest, I have skipped the water aswell and foliar this week, so the lower buds will have more than 12 days of water dep before the final havest.
The tops are now in to total darkness for the following days allowing the flowers to continue to ripen.

Those sativas take longer than women do to get ready. The skunk is great, almost looks blue to me.
I've read that Durban is a mold resistant strain. It's no surprise that she held up well.
The secretion thing is called guttation I think.
Congrats on the harvests! :yahoo:

Great work, D!

I see white pistils still on the Chunky Skunk. What makes you think it is done? Beautiful plants to be sure.

On your sprays, what is it about them that you think make them work. I'm guessing salicylic acid on the Willow and silica from the horsetail fern?

The secretion thing is called guttation I think.

Congrats on the harvests! :yahoo:

They take for ever those 2, they are about to experience Canadian weather in the next few days.
It does seem that the Durban is resistant I’m glad she showed it, I didn’t see much problems with her.
Guttation thanks for that, never seen it. I’m surprised because this plant wasn’t watered for over a week.

Thanks Azi, the chunky skunk has a 60 day mark or mid October according to the breeders notes; that being said I’m going with the less than 50% new white hairs, the yellow leaves sign that photosynthesis has slowed down considerably, and terpenes seemed peaking the scent is giving away the location. I gave her one week for same reason you probably thought they could go longer. Hopefully she drains herself and gives that last push this week btw it will start pouring rain by the end of the week, NO good, one thing great about the weather here it has been bone dry for weeks the buds are dry inside and that has help a lot avoiding the mold and bud rot.

I can only say the spray worked based on observation I don’t have a very deep and assertive understanding of what went down, but yes I’m referring to Horsetail (silica) JMS I used this almost all thru the life of the plants, during veg I had it mixed with neem. Later in flower was the Willow (salicylic acid) JMS and I went hard with the foliar even last week before harvest, what sold me on the success was how can so many microbes go in the bud directly and not cause it to rot completely? That’s where I’m sold. Also the biofilm we talked about I’m thinking that made it hard for the PM to multiply and conquer the plant, the marks I noticed despite looking like PM had the hyphae missing, no powdery dust so no spores.
I also give the credit to Mother Nature for not raining that is the big difference this year.

I gotta refine my foliar for next year but I like what I see, and my friend didn’t really understand why I was spraying so much, yesterday he said “dude I had to take mine down PM and bud rot as well” I have been checking his plants and PM started around 2 weeks ago with small marks, yesterday his 2 indica dominant were 40% PM, if he didn’t take it down it’s a dead plant. He had already defol most of the big fans.

Another thing that sold me on the effectiveness of the foliar, the PM was everywhere and my plants held their ground.

:Namaste:

The colors are beautiful but yes, I would still wait on her, too pale.

Great recovery and it looks like they are well planned so you won't go trim crazy. lol
