Don't take the staples out...

First the AK:

This one almost looks like an optical illusion. Kinda like its reflected in water at the bottom.

I migrated here from salt water forums quite recently.

Generally speaking, the outstanding crowd favourite photo sets come from quality macro shots. You did me proud PG!

Great shots of those beautiful girls. :bravo::bravo::bravo:

I love the clarity on the trichomes, could easily see to count color on a larger scale than a microscope provides.

:peace: brother.

Thanks man! Just moved them under CFLs because I'm in between rooms - and the flos make for some great lighting.

Thanks! Yeah - I've been working on trying to get the color in the pics to resemble the microscope and these are pretty good. And as you say, - if the color is representative, this is certainly an easy way to count.

Speaking of - if anyone wants to give me an estimate on % amber in the last shot I'd be curious to see what you guys think. Its funny how such a simple ratio can be so subjective.

:peacetwo:

EDIT: I think I'd call that about 35%-45%

Well. It looks like I may have to go 220 after-all. The reason is:

Although I have 6x20 Amp + the AC on the Sub-Panel ; it's only got a 60A fuse at the main.

Right now I am distributing everything fine I think. But there is one 400w electronic ballast that only turns on every other day. Its on a digital timer with the T5s and they come on every day. When it was up here at the house it came on every time.

I've added up the load on the 20A circuit and it should be well under.

So the only thing I can think of is that the total load of the room must push it close to its voltage limit. But if I simply unplug the ballast for two minutes and plug it in again it fires no prob. And I've tried it with and without the pumps and fans going and its same results either way.

So for all you folks that understand this stuff better than I do - what the hell is the deal with this one pain in the ass ballast?

ALSO, I will need to do the same thing as McBudz and use two 20A driven by a single timer. 99% sure that one will be a DIY relay and trigger - very easy and fairly cheap.

:peacetwo:

PS. - Its a 15A 1750w digital Timer - is it possible that the 435w T5s and the 450w electronic ballast can't both be on that single timer? Grrr - time to swap a timer (yet another pain in the ass and I won't really know the answer till after a day or two of startups).

Quick update: I found this while looking at timers. I've never noticed this type of rating on mine but leads me to think I'm overloading the timer.

Ratings: 125V/8A/1000W resistive; 125V/4.6A/575W tungsten

Just had to look at those pics again. The detail is amazing. I'm sure someone has asked before but what type of camera and what settings are you using?
In reference to the top pic. Are the trichomes clear/cloudy/milky. I can't see that close on my own plants. Maybe it will help me. Thanks.:goodjob::yummy:

EDIT: PS - that's a 7.1 megapixel cam btw

2nd edit: look what it did to the time stamps. Those little dudes wiping their faces are apparently the same combo of chars as my time stamp

that's funny

That sounds like it could poss. Be your timer. But, I know almost nothing about electrical, so there's a lot better ppl to get opinions from. I just like to put in my two cents. :-)

Old Papers

Check these out. I got these papers in 1992 on a trip to Amsterdam. You can't read it at the bottom of the label but the Coffeeshop was called THE HEAD. I remember chuckling to myself cause I had just gotten out of the Marines. To stoners a Head or Head Shop is one thing. After being in the Marines, when someone said I should go to THE HEAD - it had a different connotation.

Anyways, I happened to find the papers earlier tonight.

Great papers. I remember setting these in the little box I just found them in 18 years ago. They were the last of the "Party" papers our group used and we decided to save them for an occasion.

So, given its harvest night - figured I'd test the glue. As you can see - no probs.
