Unknown Strain Indoor/Outdoor - Soil 100% Organic

Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic

hmm that does sound smart ill def do that then, i cant find any dam string! wtf haha i can find everything but string hahaha

I used hemp string leftover from my girlfriend's necklace and bracelet making stuff!

In actuality, it worked awesome. If I have to use a cheap string and not a twist tie type of thing I'll use hemp. It's strong and it holds to itself. You don't have to make tight knots for it to still hold.

Buuut, if you have access to a hydro shop, I'd look into a $4 roll of twist tie stuff. It's a huge roll and it has a blade attached. Cut it to length and just bend it around the plant. I'm probably going to use them next grow, or whenever I run out of hemp.

would fishing line work?
I wouldn't use it because it'll end up piercing the plant. You need something thicker that will be more gentle. Think cotton, hemp, twine, etc..

I understand you want to use what's around the home, so maybe try to attach something else around the plant that is thicker and softer, and then attach that to the fishing line and tie it to the pot. Probably going to be more hassle than it's worth, though.

Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic

is it ok to lst when the plants are that small, one of mine is about the same height but slightly bigger leaves so would it be a good idea to start training it now or is it best to wait till the stems a bit stronger, i have read its best to do it when its at the 4th node,

Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic

on my biggest its starting to grow the 3rd set of real leaves and where the leaves join the stem you can see the next branch growing out of it so i might start gently training it bit by bit now and see what happens, i dont think it can hurt the plant as long as the stem dont break below the leaves so i might give it a try but very slight till it starts to grow how i want it to, it might even bring on the growth of lower branches a bit quicker

a good thing to use would be pipe cleaner you could tie them round the plant then use the wire to pull in the pipe cleaner, hope you know what i mean, their fluffy bendy things you used to play with when you was little to make little men out of, well i did, or i have seen a load of people buying those curly things women put in their hair, not sure if you know what i mean, sort of thin sausage like things that they roll their hair round and then bend them, i think its suppose to curl their hair, if you got a mrs that has got some, pinch them and deny all knowledge, they can get vicious when you touch things like that, just deny all knowledge, make sure if she sees them that you say nuffin, just mutter the words, i refuse to answer on the grounds it may incriminate me, or use the line, well you use my razors, if u not got a mrs or she dont use these then go to a stationary store and get some pipe cleaner or try something like wool, something a bit thicker, i thing anything like fishing wire, or cotton would just cut into the plant over time or you could bend sum metal into a hook and just rest it over the part your trying to pull on and then this should allow the plant to still grow through it,

just some ideas ive seen since joining this site.

another great idea i saw was this, say if your looking at the plant and its right in front of you, then what i have seen is they tie a sort of anchor point at the base of the plant to stop it leaning over in what ever its growing in, they tied something about half an inch up the stem from the soil and then they tied this say to the right of the plant and poked holes in the plant pot and used that as an anchor then they pulled the plant to the left to bend it, so its sort of pulling from both sides but one from the top of the plant and one from the bottom both pulling against each other, i think they did this to prevent the plant actually starting to lean over due to it moving in the soil instead of the stem staying strait and just the branches leaning over, i thought it was a good idea

Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic

Well like I have the twine looped around the cut steam and the main steam so its on 2 parts so it won't have as much stress on one line

Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic

update this morning the LST is doing good i saw she allready is slanted and growing up so i put a little morepull on it to bring her back downin a few hours ill go check, but the top seam to work i see the 2 nodes growing up! :) so what am i suppose to look for with LST method? as she being brought down what is suppose to happen?

Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic

More and more tops and side shoots. It will bush out like crazy and when you get tops a few inches long pull them down in different directions then your main stalk.

all right so when the new nodes pop up pull them the oppiste direction?

:high-five:
