Im still on my first grow but I know enough to give my opinion, maybe someone else can pin point it for ya! :tokin:

You did perfect on the topping. You'll be alright without that leaf, and now you know that next time go in a little straighter and be aware of the leaves below. It just shows that you can't mess it up, the plant will adapt.

As for LST, just keep watching it. Wait for some of the side branches to stretch up and start tying them back. It'll be slow at first.

Also, if you can't bend it much, like the base of the plant isn't stable enough, try tying the string around the top and still tying it to the pot. Don't put a lot of pressure on it, just enough to move it. You'll be able to tighten it daily. You may not get the 'bend' shape you're looking for, but it will still pull the plant to one side, letting more light hit the lower branches.

And listen to the others about the pH, get it up now to your acceptable levels. As you go on in your grow, it will most likely tend to go acidic with the nutrients it's getting. Just keep an eye on it and try to keep it between 6.2 and 6.7.

All right so basically im just going to slowly bend the plant to the correct angle

Exactly. I'm confident that once you tie the first one down and give it some time you'll see exactly how they adapt and you'll know exactly what to do for the next ones. LST is kind of like topping, it's hard to do it wrong.

Good luck!

THANKS for the vote of confidence i know once i do it, it will be easy i just dont want to mess anything up lol

You won't! Don't worry, it's almost fool proof. To mess something up you'd have to go extremely overboard and just rip a branch off. And even then, it's not the end of the world.

This may help you: I had a top that I wanted to cut off, so to test out how bendable they were I tried to snap the top by bending it... It bent completely around my finger, like a ring, before anything happened. I don't know how good this was for that part of the plant, but it got cut off anyway.

So, if you're tying down from the top areas of the plant where it's extremely soft and bendable, you'll be fine. The only place you have to be careful is later on when the branches started to thicken up and become almost like wood.

Re: Unknown strain Indoor/Outdoor, Soil 100% organic

all right, like if i dont LST is the plant just gonig to grow stright up? with 2 main kolas since i toped?

Yeah, it'll just continue like a regular plant. One main stalk with smaller offshoots at the nodes and then two main tops because you topped. Most people LST to take advantage of horizontal grow space when they are limited on vertical space.

Like teSmp said ^, you really won't be disappointed. Think about it like this: You don't need to top or LST if you have a high number of plants. You top and LST when you have a small number of plants. This mimics having more plants you could say. Utilizing medical growers small plant counts.

and limited lighting :) even with my HID I will more then likely always do training.

Of course, can't forget about limited lighting!

And I know for a fact I will always do some sort of training. I like the way I LST now, but I can see a screen being much easier than tying it down individually. That, and it's a pain to water with all the strings in the way.
