well day 53 has bounced in like a fat lil baby....
all is well. not much change in the nutes. res temp is up a bit. but the interesting news....roots. not likely from nute change or ice being out, too soon for those changes to be in effect. but, i think it is a direct hit from the light and room temp change. she has grown a fair bit since putting her into the 5x5. alot up top. and now theres a nice bunch of fuzzy roots poking through the net today. prior to this it has merely been a few long stragglers hanging down getting wrapped up in the ice bottles. the new roots aren't touching the water yet, but i think thats a gooder thing cuz they are stretching for it eh.
weird, i think this plant kinda went backwards....the top needed to grow to push for more roots..idunno but thats what it seems.
nonetheless i am going to stay the course i am on now, ie: nutes, light, ice outside, for at least this res maybe another one at week 2 levels. so finish this week to monday then do another res at the same nutes (but with a measured amount of plantacillin) which will run for a week. so that'll be 2 full weeks less a day at these conditions. ice out will be 2 weeks less 3 days.
after that....if all is well and she is pushing them roots down like i think she will....yep i will likely hit the extreme again, lol. i know for a fact she went into dwc way too young, but that's water under the bridge now. its all proactive and reactive from here on out.
yeah no pain, thats what i was thinking about soil too. it gets hot no chit right? ever walk barefoot on the beach? hot sand anyone? nature nurtures these girls without ice, even in the hot point of the day. hell they survive everything out there. theres a lot of stuff that we try to mimic, but i think we get it all wrong sometimes by micromanaging too much.
ok nuff fluff for now....
the stats......T: 87...RH: 38....PH: 6.4....REST: 76.3....PPM: 670
and the pic o the day......i'll run up and grab a shot of the roots after this update is done....
there she is lookin fat n happy.
have fun eh
