Bubbas Gift ... week 9... yes, I took a 7 week strain 9 weeks.. yes, she threw out bannas... These picks have her main fan leaves removed and was cut and harvested 10 minutes later. For my first harvest I under estimated the time it would take to trim this one plant. I spent a good 3 hours cutting down the plant, trimming and cleaning up the mess I made. She stunk really bad during the trim. Smelt like a grape and blueberry funk swamp. I was exhausted after the trim so nug shots will come later. I'll also share some pics of my drying box..

Definetly not as dense as I would have liked but it tastes great with a bubba kush berries taste. The other 3 plants get chopped tomorrow. It's almost dry and my weight as of today is almost 2 ounces.

Week 10... It's been exactly 70 days today and I chopped down the last 3 plants that I pampered for the last 4 and a half months. Was definitely heart breaking and a shit load of work that i don't have time for. Trimming is such a time consuming process and I have a ton of respect for every person who has ever trimmed a nug that I have smoked. You sir (or miss) are a saint. .
When I first started this grow journal I was attempting to make some new friends and share my grow.. I think it kinda turned into a private journal of my progress and it will be great to look back upon on my next grow. (New journal coming soon). If any body found this thread while Searching Moxie or Humboldt Seed Organization please remember that this is my first grow so these strains could have so much more potential than what I displayed with my limited knowledge of growing. I'll do some full reviews on everything I used in this grow which could be useful to a new grower some day.
Before I get into today's pics I wanted to share some bubbas gift since she is dry now and getting sampled before the cure. She reminds me of some blueberry I had but only on the inhale. The exhale is really sweet and smooth and am excited to see the change after the cure.

The beginning of harvest. Let me start off by saying I do not have enough time to sit here and trim three plants in a day. It takes way to long and there is way to much work for me to do in one sitting so I will start drying untrimmed. I removed all the large fan leaves before I cut the stems and I will be using my tent for the dry with my extraction fan at about 15%. I took lots of pics that I'll probably post tomorrow and will continue updating until this grow is 100% done.

Moxie Viper Cookies( odd pheno). Day 70, harvest.
I'm still not that excited about this peticular phenotype. Her nugs seem dense but there seems to be a lot of excess leaf growing from the center and the bottom of the colas. I'm not sure if it's the nutes, the temps, a possible light leak or the blue in the eyehortilux bulb I'm using but I don't like it. It may be strain dependent so it's something I'll have to research for my next grow.

Viper Cookies day 70 harvest.
This is hands down my favorite plant from this grow. This plant was the smallest going in to flowering and she was transplanted the day I switched to 12/12. She is the only plant that didn't receive any training during veg but she is also the one who almost got away. She survived and grew two tops. This paticular phenotype needed no support for her branches and held her self up well. All the buds seem small but she makes up for it with her Trichome coverage. I'm guessing about a oz and a half of this plant but she might hit 2 if she's as dense as I hope.

Lemon og.. Harvest..
This plant smells delicious. Nice large colas and smells sweet and spicy. Seems Sativa domenent and very sticky. Definetly my highest yielder this grow. I bent the colas on this plant as you can see in the photos

Bubbas gift harvest results.
Final harvest yielded almost 2 oz exact. I smoked most of it since it was the first plant harvested but this is about 15 grams worth that I'm saving. This pheno had very little purple color and a mild Trichome production. Still has a strong flavor after a 2 week cure and a Nice mild high. I felt fully functional after smoking this strain and it was nice and smooth. Still has a nice sweet flavor and a very strong unique smell. This was definetly the stinkest plant in my tent and my carbon filter had a hard time controlling the smell especially when I had to actually open the tent. It stunk up the house every time.

This plant was extremely frosty when compared to the other plants. Final yield from this plant was 1.7oz. Not the biggest yielder but the high and taste made up for it. This pheno has a very sooth taste that reminds me of cookie dough. Not really sweet or skunky, more of a smoothand mild coffee like flavor. The exhale has a hint of the og type skunkyness. The high was strong and I found myself losing focus when the high kicks in. Not long after that I find myself wandering in thought and walking in circles. It was definetly hard to stay focused on a single task. This was a fantastic plant and in really like smoking this strain.

Viper Cookie (og pheno) Harvest results.
I didn't like this plant while it was growing it just seemed kinda normal with nothing special going on. Weak stems and it was very bushy. After a short cure this is hands down my favorite strain from this grow. All the flowers are really dense, even the small lower growth. Due to the density and bushyness of this plant it yielded 3.7 oz. The smell is similar to the other pheno with a big burst of a slightly sweet flavor followed by the strong og skunkyness. This was is definetly and stinker and a head turner. The smoke is semi smooth with a cookie and citrus skunk flavor on the inhale and exhale. The high is no joke.. After a second bowl I definetly can feel a rush of heat running through my body with a slight sweat. Smoking a third chokes me up everytime. After all that goddess is burned and passing through my blood stream I definetly start feeling relaxed with a curious smile. My mind races with thoughts and keeps me mentaly busy for about a hour. Time Flys while my high kicks in and my mind seems to entertain it's self while I atempt to continue my day. I find my self standing still and side tracked by my day dreaming. My memory seems to go to shit and I can't remember much of what I was doing while I was high. I then wander aimlessly until my mind starts to focus and all that does is make me want to smoke another. This has been my go to strain for day and night. I feel fantastic after smoking this

Lemon OG harvest results.
This strain was a breeze to grow. I had zero issues with this plant and she grew very fast and started flowering right away. Final yield was 3.8oz. The flowers were large and rather dense for being Sativa dominant.
Opening the mason jar greets your nose with a sweet semi lemon smell. This was a favorite of my friends and family. Everybody seemed to really like the exhale. It leaves a odd lemon type flavor in your mouth with a spiceness that burns your nose. The high was strong but I always feel like I need to smoke another strain to get the effect that I like. The high was really clear and in your head. The effect doesn't seem to last long because I always feel like I need to smoke again every 45 minutes.. Mixing my joints or bowls with this lemon OG is my favorite way to enjoy this strain. A Lil bubba or cookies in the mix gives me the best of both worlds. I think it comes down preference because I seem to crave the indica high.
Conclusion: I was definitely happy with my first grow. I didn't kill them all and I ended up with some beautiful, clean and tasty flowers. Everybody who has tried the 4 strains I grew seemed impressed with my first attempt. After some of the crap people tried to pass of as " good herb" this season made it kinda easy. Thanx to anybody who reads this journal and I hope some of the info or pictures help somebody some day. This Journal didn't get much attention (zero comments?) but that's ok. It will be great to look back on this journal one day and would like to say thanx you to everybody at 420 magazine for running a fantastic site. I might have one more update before I officially end this Jounal. I'm popping some new seeds tonight so I'll be starting a new journal soon. Until then I'll be lurking around your grow journals... =)

Wow, good memories in this journal, I'm glade you enjoyed it. I cut the bubba after 9 weeks but when I reflect back on this grow I had major issues. I had really low night Temps and I was over feeding bubba and fried her fan leaves. She never really showed me any amber trichomes until she was dry but I think that was due to stress. I'm actually growing a bubbas gift cross at the moment and she will be done at 7 or 8. I definetly took her too long last grow because she didn't change much between week 7 and week 9. I'm not sure what your bubba looks like but I personally would start flushing asap and cut her in a week, with or without the amber trichomes... hope that helps and good luck with your future grows... I remember the stench coming from this plant, smelt like a grape swamp
