Twelve12's Perpetual Grow

Everything looks great! :welldone:

The PE looks awesome and it's a good thing it's close cuz' in about two weeks, you're not gonna be able to even get your hand inside that veg tent to pull a plant out! :)
:goodjob:

Yes, I'm excited for the growth! The perpetual grow need lots of clones about 24 every two weeks. Also, they are under 6 T12 bulbs so they will not be growing too fast. Keeping some as bonsai especially the males. Will see how coco coir perform. First time at both DWC and coco.

Update: Breeding Program

I'm excited about the breeding program. Got the male {Grapefruit Diesel} pollinating with the available females. These are the following current pollination.

Grapefruit Diesel x Pineapple Express = Firestorm
Grapefruit Diesel x Hammerhead = Seaweed
Grapefruit Diesel x Super Lemon Haze = Super Fruit Daze
Grapefruit Diesel x Pineapple Chunk = Rewind
Grapefruit Diesel x Cheese = Tropical Cow
Grapefruit Diesel x Vanilla Kush = Downtown Rumble
Grapefruit Diesel x Red Dragon = Torque
Grapefruit Diesel x Tangerine Dream = Grapefruit Dream

Creating F1 with these and then cross them with a different batch containing a different male, don't know what strain yet still waiting for pre-flowering on regular seeds from the available 15 strains. Then, try to stabilize the strain and if I can't will just keep it as clone only. The goal is to supply 50% brand name strain and 50% my own strain to the patients by 2012.

Most important thing is to keeping a record so I don't confuse myself. Still new at this going to keep re-reading DJ Short article until it make sense. If anyone know the crosses mentioned above has been done before by the seed banks please let me know. I'll change the name to the respectable name. So far these crosses have not been done before at least haven't found any record online. I'm sure someone has and may not have documented.

What do you guys think should I start a new journal with the breeding program grow or just continue with it here?

OMG the colour is that cause of lights or that the real deal, would love those pics as a block mount, they are smokin hot.........

Twelve to the 12th exponent, great stuff with that aerocloner. Ive always been intrigued by these things. I would love to use one, as i am just cloning with rockwool right now. It works and i get good results, but I like to be green and efficient, and disposing of rockwool is definitely not green, and im sure clones root faster and get better starts when done in a cloner properly. I know theres many tutes on how to use an aerocloner, which I will be looking into in say a few moments now, but can I get your simple explanation of aerocloning?

Omg the pics of your ladies didnt even load til after i wrote that. LOVELY!

Do you have Oompa-Loompas helping you with that veg tent Mr. Wonka? Look at all those different flavors!

Hey srjc! The colors are from the grow room lights. I've switched out the 600w hps for the 180w LED and a bunch of CFL (daylight and coolwhite) at few inches from the buds. Switching back to hps in few days, just want to test out something. The colors are from the mixture of those lights with the custom white balance to get what you see here. To have dynamic in your pics throw in a contrast color. If you're using hps, throw in some blue CFL when taking the shots and vice versa. I LED use both daylight and coolwhite CFL.

Glad you're moving towards becoming more green. This is my first few days with the aero so don't really have much experience with it yet. So far it is a hydro system so the ph need to be at 5.8. This method has more volume of oxygen to water so the roots growth is more speedy. While the leafs needs CO2, the root needs O2. The spray heads provide enough water that they don't drown. Similar to bubbler system but this stays above the waterline.

They help with the strain selections, heh. Actually want to get a few more but there are so many to pick from. I order new seeds every month and these has been a collection of a year worth. Some strains you don't see here; Violator Kush, Tangerine Dream, and couple bag seeds did not do well in the environment I provided so they are out of the perpetual grow. So far Pineapple Express, Super Lemon Haze, Hammerhead, Grapefruit Diesel and Cheese is my favorite so far. Beautiful plant structure, high stress tolerance, and easy to grow. Going to let a couple more go after this grow and introduce a new strain.

WOW!!!!! GREAT LOOKIN MEDS!!!!!!:adore:;)

12-12 CLEAN NICE WORK DUDE!!!!!!!:nicethread:

Did you glue the pvc on that sweet cloning machine you made?

Hows it working?
Again thanks for the DYI lesson.

glad to see you venturing into breeding, i am confident you will excel..

Thanks GT. I'm crossing my fingers for some awesome plants.

nice buds 12 RoorRip

Thanks SS! Drying a small nug for smoke test atm. These still got another 2 weeks to go.

Thanks DH! Hope it taste good as it looks. I like keeping things clean. Had to deal with bugs last month it was crazy. It's all good now.

Hey GreneLeaf, no I did not glue them. This will make it easy to disassemble for alteration/cleaning. Simply press the pipes together firmly and no glue is needed. The first time I had it together was working great. Checked today a few clones was dying so I checked to see what was wrong. Found out that the Homedepot Spray heads weren't working, weak spray, so I took them off. Not sure what was causing the weak pressure but after taking the spray heads off the pump sends water straight up. With the tote cap back on the jets will distribute water back down once they hit the bottom of the tote cap, in turn wetting the cuttings. So that's what I have atm, it should work as the dying clones erected and is loving life.

I think a new thread/ journal would be appropriate for the programs specifics, with pics ,pollen collecting / storing methods , methods of pollination used, success of the methods,.. etc then of course pics of the breeding stock, and reports on the offspring, dude you got your work cut out for you. I wish you success, and when you can't succeed luck.:bravo::adore::goodluck:

Thanks for your thoughts S2J! ^_^
Yes, I'm going to try on hitting the key points you've mentioned. And you're right its a lot of work! Too much to blend it with this perpetual grow (even though it is part of the perpetual grow) it'll have different discussions and details. Once I get the seeds from the up coming harvest plants in 2 weeks, that's when the breeding program officially starts. RoorRip

First - awesome photos -- :bravo: Some of the best looking pictures I've seen on this site - truly, and that's saying a lot! Everything looks really great.

Second - Just my opinion, but I'd love to see a separate journal for your breeding program and live and learn through you vicariously. :goodluck: with that -- I can't wait to follow along either way.

I figured there wasn't enough pressure to need glue and I didn't see any glue marks..he he he...but then the professional job you did, I figured I should ask anyway. I recall using those types of heads in a garden with clean water going through it all the time and they still would get clogged every now and then..I was constantly cleanin em out with a straight pin...poken it in that itty bitty hole. lol
Lets hope they keep working.

bro when you start cloning SLH in those cloners, you will see roots soooo fast. I didn't check mine for 4 days, and when I looked there were 1/4" of roots, probably 20 per cutting already. It's insane how well those things work.

Appreciate that, X! I hate seeing beautiful plants through blurry images. So I make sure to get my pics easy on the eyes. Sure thing, going to create a new breeding program grow journal in a few weeks. This is a new adventure. It's going to be very technical, but fun!

You are right not enough pressure to bust them open. Right now I'm ditching the spray heads allowing the small jets shooting water up at the top creating splash which will wet the cuttings. Hoping this to work without the spray heads. Going to find out in 5-7 days. If this works, I'll call this DIY Jet Cloner, ahah.

Awesome. Glad to know! Did you dipped it in rooting hormone or anything to the water?
