Crazy training, looking god though.

With regards to pH/ppm, not sure if Soil Coco mix is different. But I went through my chasing pH stage with my soil grows and after realizing I was not getting anywhere and causing more problems then I was solving, I just stopped doing it. Now i do not check pH or anything, I just let the gallon jugs sit out for a while before using to let Chlorine evaporate.

With that 'fluxing' plant are you going to train some to grow back towards middle? Because it seems like you will have a plant with a big doughnut hole in the middle the way it looks now

your small plant is showing signs of a phosphorous and calcium deficiency from I believe a pH fluctuation. you may need to flush your pots with at least twice the volume of pH adjusted water as the pot size. what is the pH of the first runoff from watering?

Great info KJC :thumb: :bravo:

La....my Ger is looking better (is that possible? lol) every time I see her:green_heart::green_heart: I'm SO undecided WHICH of your methods to use lol. Love the Gert way....but flux better suits my needs :loopy::hmmmm:

great info KingJohnC ! i actually downloaded your leaf deficiency pic, i find it quite useful since my plants seem to have some deficiencies and i couldn't find what those strange colors meant till now :thumb:!

+ rep!

LA friend, Gert is looking amazing, i made some research and found this in the web, hope is not crap info lol :)

Guide to EC Values for Plants Life Cycle
Example: Based on Water EC OF 0.0

So this means 0.0 would be the BASE Value, Most of us will never have 0.0, i have 0.6 as my base water EC. so i just imagine "0.6 is 0.0 and use this as a guide.

Seedlings, Early Sprouts.........100 ppm to 250 ppm--------0.2 ec - 0.5 ec

Early Vegging..........................300 ppm to 400 ppm--------0.6 ec - 0.8 ec

Full Vegetation........................450 ppm to 700 ppm--------0.9 ec - 1.4 ec

Early Blooming.........................750 ppm to 950 ppm--------1.5 ec - 1.9 ec

Full Mature Blooms..................1000 ppm to 1600 ppm------2.0 ec - 3.2 ec

pretty wide margins of error really muller ,just do everything by 0.1 increases/decreases and you shouldn't run into any problems that can't be solved.

it would be great if some experienced growers share their thoughts about this info because i am planning on using it
cheers RoorRip

Hi light addict I hope ur well tonight.... Still Toking that strawberry?
I can't get over your tut or the fluxed girl either.
I think ozz likes them better though lol

Like? LIKE? LOVE:Love: Mate

Ok Cajun, please spell my ppm/ec meter out I have a Blue labs truncheon. I'm normally a soil guy, so how is it used as an advantage over just measuring it all out properly? I know its obviously more accurate, down to parts per million etc. but isnt PH more important to a certain point? I also know its the salts or ec, electro conductivity.
I know it is more accurate than measures, but is this the only advantage? I'm kind of a go by the gut guy lol. Not saying that is always a plus via my blasted brain lol he he lol!
I get these meters in coco and hydro, dwc but soil? It's so forgiving and tends to give you plenty of warning and time to fix em.
I'm nearly in a coma right now it's awesome stuff Strawberry Cough !!!

>>>I know it is more accurate than measures, but is this the only advantage?

Do you need much else haha :laughtwo: Knowing how you operate, accuracy is not a big deal, and to be honest weed is a weed...I'm not going to lie, but I only purchased my PPM meter after I decided I was switching from soil to hydro with this first hydro setup of mine. You can definitely get away with massive, healthy yields without one. BUT when the time comes (and it happens to everyone) where you experience a problem with your plant you are unsure of, a PPM meter (as well as a pH meter) is a handy tool to have in your arsenal in order to quickly identify, and rectify the problem ;)
