Tutankharmon - 400HPS - Soil Coco Mix - Grow

WOW

You sir have talent !

She's looking amazing, keep up the good work !

Good luck with the clones. I tried some that were quite a bit into flowering and had poor results. But you're gifted so I wish you best of luck !

I updated my thread just now feel free to check it out.

Many thanks and green wishes to all !

Funnily enough, I read (recently) that 2 degrees ABOVE soil/media temp is ideal. Particularly early on because it stimulates the root ball and warm carries more O2. Could be bullshit but I did read it....hey, I read the Sun too

They LOVE cool atmosphere but an ideal soil temp that's always worked for me is around 26 degrees (centigrade)

I've never given any of mine cold water ... Leaving it for 24h partially sterilizes the water too. If you understand lol ?

I never really measured the temp of my water when I grew in soil, and I never had any problems. BUT speaking as a newly founded hydro grower:

Yes OZ that is correct. A warm medium EARLY in growth really does promote root development as the roots have not yet to be considered a mass. But after a couple of weeks in veg, you really want the temps to be in the low 70s for an ideal environment. Temps reaching the 80s in a hydro setup WILL lead to pythium (root rot), but as I said this is true for hydro, but I never had problems with room temperature water when I was in soil. And those were mostly in summer months (high 80s). Though I think it is rare to get root rot in soil.

Hi AG....great to hear from you my friend. I'm going to grow in coco so a kind of "halfway house". I think the first 2weeks in the pots are the critical period? Also, I'm only planning 1 transplant so as not to stress the roots :) If I can achieve half of what LA does I'll be "buzzin"

Cheers OZ, Dr P and AG thanks for the info. Love learnin! I just go with what feels right to me and never had issues with roots. Seriously I really do just wing most of my crap. Training I love, yes but after that I just go with my gutt! Im still here to learn every drop of info I can. This is why Im always up for experimentation and sharing it all. Its all 420 bubble Karma!

That is why you are a "Guru" mate. You're innovative and GIFTED. You have an empathy with your ladies that is God given. I'm honest enough to say "you and your grows AMAZE me". I'm sure anyone who's been lucky enough to see your work feels the same :)

Hey OZ. Yes the 1st two weeks are pretty critical as these poor seedlings are vulnerable to a lot of enviromental factors. But every once in a while I have come across genetics that give very vigorous seedling growth (my personally fav, and the FIRST real strain I grew: AK-48).

And I wouldn't worry about stressing her out because of transplants bro, the most that will happen is she will be a little droopy for a few days, but not to much stress in shown here. I would recommend transplanting more than once during a grow, only to gradually build a solid root mass. As you may know, roots tend to grow down first, THEN start to make its way back up the sides of the pot, so having multiple layers of this type of root growth really set you off at an advantage when in flower as the uptake in nutrients is much faster due to a more developed and solid root mass overall!

Hey OZ, Light stresses his plants all the time and the most that gets affected is time. He has very healthy plants and very mean hand (no offense bud ;)), so a transplant will not do much in comparison ;)

Awesome post AG, this is the reason Im doing the incremental pot size with my WW. Learnt it on here! Ive just been lazy and always gone straight to big pots. Thanks for your comments on my heavy hand, he he! The way I look at it with photos is as long as your girl is healthy you can do as you please on torture front during veg. Its only over watering feeding and beasties etc that can screw em up in veg.

Hey AG, wise words mate :) I'm going to try to emulate LAs grow as closely as I can. That said, he's GODs gardener and I'm a total numpty lol . Peace n green wishes to you sir.
