Turbo Bucket's Take On RADDWC: Grow Room Build-Up

Only one of the Barbie clones hasn't taken yet but it's got nubs so shouldn't be much longer. The Maui clones are around a week old shockingly the smallest one also has nubs but nothing on the other 3 yet as expected.

Finally got around to filling the cloner back up. Because the last run all came out tasting like crap I'm running a set of clones in buckets from the most promising 3 for a smoke test to finally determine a keeper.

I ended up with a broken portable AC unit through my day to day travels. I'm not generally a fan of the design of these things but I have an idea.
I'll knock together a couple plenums for it and connect it to both tents. This will allow me to pull warm air from and push cold air into both tents. Eliminating the first design hiccup of exhausting conditioned air.
I'll continue using the single temp controlled 8" hyper fan and upsize the dual carbon scrubbers on the return side. This will keep the smell ate up while helping maintain airflow levels in the system and providing a diffused return air grill in each tent. (Also opens the door for co2.)
I'll remove my current exhaust from the home return air and tie the exhaust from the AC in. Extending the exhaust on these things can make a mess of stuff if you don't drain the water out of the pan constantly. The problem is they use the exhaust to get rid of the condensate that forms on the evaporator so it can build up in the extended ducting. A permanent drain, which most units are tapped for solves that problem. So this will let me remove the heat from my tents via the AC and use it throughout the house over the winter.

So to recap the conditioned air is only inside the tents and constantly passed through both the carbon filters and the evaporator coil of the AC.
The air used to cool the condenser will be pulled from the room itself outside the tents and discharged directly into the homes return air trunk providing scavenged heat throughout the winter.
Condensate will be constantly drained away into a floor sump in the mechanical room next door.

Parts for repair are expected next week gonna try to make the plenums later this week.

Nice and simple just the way I like it. The last two batches I just used tap water and they still came out great, those Barbie clones never really yellowed, you can still see a couple of the cut fan leaves haha.

Nice. Good call. That next batch of beans you just dropped looks pretty impressive

I kinda screwed myself on this batch. I should have taken Maui cuts before I started the pex. Oh well no major deal.

Wasnt sure this journal was still rolling! Damn clones everywhere man. Wish I lived closer bro... looking really nice. And boy do I love that new light build. Super slick man

Yea there's always something lol. This thread catches the rest. And all the tinkering.
I finally bought out my sponsor so I don't have to deal with that anymore which has been a nice relief.

Like your investor? Good shit man. You'll do great, you certainly have the work ethic and intellect buddy. Go kill it!

Nice work going on Tb! :bravo:

You seem to have the exact same Ac unit I got. Is is a KCC?

It's an "edgestar" I'm not positive who builds them.
Pretty close I would imagine, probably different compressors/motors you guys are 50hz right?
Theres only so many ways to build these in a portable configuration so there should be a ton of commonalities.

Thanks Penny!
