Turbo Bucket's Take On RADDWC: Grow Room Build-Up

Thanks guys I know your always around haha.

I really thought there would be a little increased interest after a 2lb harvest. Oh well. It still makes it easier on myself to go back and see when stuff was installed/changed whatever.

Anyways update on the century heavy duty timers. They finally shit the bed. Took a little over a year. Found the one good one turning on at random times the other night. So they'll be getting replaced with some real timers. I really really like the function of these timers but the quality sucks. I haven't found any other dual outlet timers that let you control each outlet independently. They were perfect one outlet for circ pump one for irrigation pump the other two for lights in each tent. No unnecessary pump run time, digital control let's you adjust in one minute increments so timing irrigation is easy. But they just don't last. Sigh.

A pair of intermatic T103's will do nicely for the lights though 40A DPST 120V timer motor.

So I can wire them up to run my lights on 240 but the timer motor itself runs on 120. Until I actually move the tents into the room that's wired with 240 for them they will stay on 120 so these timers are great because I can use them now and later. If I had more money I may have gone with digitals so they would be a little more power outage proof but I think I'll just put a USP in for the timer motors and fans at some point. Until then I'll have to reset after an outage. Not the end of the world.

But I know what you guys are really here for haha

OG Kush, I really thought the buds would be a little bit bigger than that these probably won't make the cut. They do stank something wonderful though.

Strawberry banana these are much better nice fruity smell too.

Blueberry are the big fatties this time

Edit: more pics

Hey have you given any thoughts to a power strip / kill strip? I run my lights off a single timer that is plugged into a kill strip so when it turns off it shuts off anything that's plugged into the same strip.

I don't need that many outlets on one timer lol. I need one minute adjustable channel and one 15 minute adjustable so mechanicals work fine there. That's why all the dual outlet timers suck. Not only that but my new light timers are commercial grade. I could run all my lights through one but in case I ever decide to not have both flower tents on the same schedule I don't have to.

Be careful with timers and surge protectors they really get overlooked as far as routine maintenance goes but if anything's going to burn your grow down that's where it will start.

Surge protectors are ok as long as they're not overloaded. But they end up handling a pretty good load by the time they run a few amps 12-18 hours a day.

Timers are the dangerous ones. Pretty easy for them to short out or burn up. The cheaper they are the more likely it is. I usually recommended anything for a grow room goes through a GFI (sometimes called GFCI) ground fault circuit interrupt. The bathroom outlets with a reset button. Very effective at ensuring nothing crazy happens.

it's nice no one that is grounded and safe, but it's shity whenever you're trying to not have light leaks..lol stupid safety light LMAO:laugh: and it's not just a normal light it is hella bright

Take it out, the diode, not the strip haha

Yea most stuff the power cord is not nearly long enough to run into a tent.

Tried to get some wider shots so you can see the whole story inside the tent but the rooms not big enough to get far enough away haha. Lights are only 6-8 inches from the top buds.

Blueberry bud

Who knows whats inside here. A genetic mystery. Guess I'll lable the mom and put em in with the other "bonus" seeds.

How do you guys handle these seeds? I used to just trash em, but I was thinking on it the other day and realized "dipshit, that's where Barbie came from, you need to run those." So I guess maybe I will. I think the father is fruit punch, it's the last thing that made pollen. I always spray and wipe down after harvest and again after drying before reloading with fresh plants so it shouldn't be from previous harvests but I'm going to start mopping the floor outside the tents as well just to try and make sure I'm getting all of it.

Tent #1 definitely needs a screen soon

Remember Cookies was a bag seed.

Yea I forgot that, that's what I lost sight of. I was too worried about knowing what the lineage was. Doesn't matter who the parents were good smoke is good smoke. I haven't grown anything that was junk so no matter where it came from they should be ok atleast.

 I wish you were my neighbor, so I could be your quality control taster.

Haha that would be awesome.

I wish we could do a 420 magazine cup. So much great produce on here.

Exactly, Chemdog came from Bagseed as well.

Right, and everyone loves a good chem. I'm glad I pulled my head out of my ass before I tossed em this time. Almost got too caught up in modern trends, lost track of what I'm supposed to be doing: growing dope ass dope.

If the cross really is Bagseed Barbie and Fruit punch I hope it's my #4 the big cola'd big structure pheno. That could be a big beautiful stinky sticky purple mess haha
