Back build? What am I missing here guys?

(Sorry if this is a stupid question)

Back building is another technique I picked up here

Basically about 3 weeks before harvest you snip the very tip off the bud (may 1/64").

Agreed that the BM could use that grow space too. Wow. How same plant seeds make such different strains. Amazing.

Day 68 from seed to now. The Northern Light is just a week or so away from a complete chop. The Blue Mystic has several weeks at this point. It is still creeping up with stretch but is gradually moving to produce flowers. So using the 40/60 rule on harvest estimate leaves at least six weeks. We'll see! On to tonight's photos. Enjoy!

The Blue Mystic is continuing to stretch. Ugh! The scrog was removed tonight to see about making more room for both plants. Glad I took it out too. These plants are gorgeous from all angles. First up is the Northern Light. Enjoy.

Woo! Yeah man you are cruising now. The BM lagging behind should work in your favor now since she will finish a couple weeks behind the NL and have the space to herself. Nice!

Had to convince the BM that she need to stop the stretch or get super cropped. For the first time in weeks she barely grew any height the last 24 hours. Full bud glory is on. The NL is perhaps two weeks from harvest. Just a few photos tonight. More tomorrow at res change. Enjoy. And thanks all for looking in.
