Good catch Toasty, I did see the points of your leaves turned slightly up. You handled that before any major damage was done. That is just from having new lights, MORE POWER. I love that your lights give an instant bump to your plants. Plus you have to push your plants as far as they will go.
So Troy you're coming to the west coast eh? My neck of the woods you could say. I was born on a mountain, north of vancouver. If you need me to give you directions to Cafe Amsterdam, Vancouver Seed Bank, Crop King Seeds, just ask. I hope you enjoy yourself here because it's the most beautiful motivational mountains you will ever see. People smoke everywhere there.
May I ask why you gave the ladies a 12/12 light period? Just curious to learn...
Also, Dee is a beehive ready to burst. Your ladies are so beautiful, and massive. She is def my fav.
It will be interesting to see how the tip spreading technique goes because you have so many tops that they might fall over. What a nice problem to have.

Thanks for the information - The plants did respond by dropping the light and giving them a good drink.
As for the reason of 12/12 - I was wanting to give Olga and Dee a little kick to get them to initiate flowering. The good news is that this morning I found a couple tuffs of pistols on both. Maybe just a coincidence but they are running much longer than I would have expected to initiate.
We are just taking a quick visit to Vancouver to meet up with my best friend from Australia who is currently at Whistler for some skiing. A quick question. Do you have to have a card or residence requirement to visit places like Café Amsterdam. I'll probably be skipping the seed banks as I don't want to be crossing the boarder with them. I live in SF Bay area so will actually be a going north trip for me.
*I thought the 12/12 would help give them a bit more time to recover from the heat stress so I agree, it was a good call.
*OMG, you'll be driving right by my house then, cause we live in between Vancouver and Whistler. You can see my house from the hwy 99 you'll be driving north. Amsterdam cafe doesn't require any cards, you walk in, grab something to eat or drink to support the owners, then sit down and enjoy your 420 right there. No fee's of any kind.
*What if you drove up, I could meet you at Tim Horton's here for only 5 mins, it's on your way, and give you some of my BC goodness?
Ahhh, so close yet so far. If you were here in July and august for forest fire season, you'd be wondering why it's so hot here. The sky turns grey and it's hard to breathe sometimes, but the wind gushes in and cleans it up.
So Mrs G is picking up steam, I could see she is stretching out her wings. You are going to have beasts now that Dee is finally showing pistils. I just think maybe some of the topping slowed her down but it didn't affect her at all. In fact, she is gonna to expand like fire works.
Do you have any stakes ready to hold her up just in case.
Great job!
5 gallon will probably speed up your process and maybe cutting down on topping would do the trick.
My first mentor Snid, was an auto bad*ss, he used 5 gallon, topped once, restrain, train, then let the tops do the work. That was his go-to, so if that helps, you are not sacrificing quantity, you're choosing quality, and will match that yield, if not better. Plus, if you downsize, can you add one more? hahahaha
We all do it...... I'll just be happy if I get to the finish line....It's just a wishful thinking obsession, more more more.

I can't give her no moor captain.....
You will make it to the finish line for sure. Mrs G and I will be behind you pushing and shoving if needed ...
